Austin Sailboat Rentals

It was so easy. Wonderful boats. Friendly customer service. The amazing thing was we just went to the park, parked the car, and they brought the boat to us. There was no work involved and it was a wonderful day. They picked the boat up for us when we were done! The lake was full and beautiful.

The weather report said it was going to be a beautiful sailing day and the only beautiful day straddled by rainy weather for 4 days fore and aft. My friend from Colorado had asked me to set up some sailing while she was in town, and I had, but oh no! the staff at the other place dropped the ball. I had sailed with AustinSailboatRentals before and called Ginny up. Soon we were set up to sail a Dolphin for 3 hours! Our plans were rescued! It was great! Ginny had a life jacket for my friend who was spared having to cart one on the plane or buy one here in Texas. Ginny set up the boat at the ramp, and we were off! The Dolphin handled great! We spent 3 hours in perfect sailing weather living the dream. When we were done sailing up and down Lake Travis, we headed back toward the ramp, came about and raised the daggerboard just like Ginny taught us! We all helped to trailer the boat and were back at our cars soon after. We dined and drank at the Oasis, overlooking the lake where we had been sailing as the sun set on our wonderful day.

I have to rave about these folks. My 11 year old daughter took two weeks of sailing camp with Austin Sailboat Rentals last summer, when they were located on Lady Bird lake. She started with never having been in a sailboat to finishing as an intermediate sailor by the end of the second week. Ginny was really fantastic with all the kids, and my daughter really liked her. Very organized, well-​planned progression from zero experience to being able to handle a dinghy sailboat on her own. Ginny assured me that, yes, was totally competent to take me out for a sail! So proud of my little sailor. My daughter can’t wait to take mom out on her own. Meanwhile, now that they’re out at Windy Point park, I signed up for their «Learn to Sail» special, something I have always wanted to learn to do. Ginny is as good a teacher for adults as she is for the kiddos. Have nothing but good things to say.

Just discovered these guys and they’re EXACTLY what I’ve been waiting for! They have everything from Kayaks and electric boats (perfect for a date!) to of course, SAIL BOATS! Can’t wait to bring my friends here next summer. Keep it up guys!

I love renting boats from their lake Travis location. The water on this part of the lake is so clear and I like how there are lots of areas roped off so boats don’t come anywhere close. Perfect area to swim, kayak and sail and have a pick nick on the banks!
