They carry bumble and bumble. Cheapest place, probably not. Best selection of all the latest and greatest in So Austin — absolutely.

Excellent Customer Service @Brodie location. I had a problem with a hair appliance after a only a few months of use. Manager pleasantly exchanged for new appliance.

I was excited because they had glo minerals. The girl did her best to match me however it’s dark in the store and so it turned out too yellow. I tried to return but returns are not accepted. So out 50 $ do not buy product until you have gone outside too dark in this shop. Better yet go to Cadiz laser spa for these products.

This is a cool little store — they sent out a $ 10 gift card which was great promo because I probably wouldn’t have gone in there otherwise. I walked around the whole store to checkout what they carry and it’s all kinds of cool stuff from various shampoos, voluspa candles, OPI nail polish, London Butter polish, etc. I got a few bottles of OPI and I’ll probably be back to get some London Butter. Nice to know what they carry.

My new fav place to go when I need a lil pick me up or an feeling blah… The array of soaps, hair products, smell good shiz, trinkets, souvenirs, accessories, the list goes on and on… There’s such a selection! I love moseying around smelling new scents, bath salts, trying makeup. Bought quite a few Tyler candles and Thyme soaps to treat myself. Customer service is so so but I do really enjoy just browsing. Try it out! They have a punch card too.

I will always love the beauty store, but this location in particular. The store is very clean and expertly organized, and they have a gigantic selection of haircare, candles, jewelry, and adorable odds and ends that make perfect gifts. I’m a loyal Jane Iredale customer, and their friendly and knowledgeable staff is always there to help me make sure my foundation color is exactly where I need it to be. Cindi, the manager, knows her stuff and is incredibly helpful. I can’t say enough good things! Love this place!

I happened upon this shop… I had never been in before or even heard of it. What a great find! So many great things, plus a great selection for gift giving.

Cristina Strahm, Master Stylist at The Beauty Store on Brodie Lane does an amazing job with hair. She has been doing it for over 25 years and is gifted with color/highlights. She worked at a salon that set her rates and I could not afford her. But, she recently became independent and now sets her own prices, which are very affordable. I had my hair done last weekend– cut, high-lights, low-lights and have had several comments on how great my hair looks. I hope she can make it independently because I plan on being a loyal client. As a side note The Beauty Store is a fun place to shop for a card or gift!

I was in the area and decided to stop by and get some things I needed. I’d been to one on N. Lamar earlier, so I knew exactly what I wanted. However, I had trouble finding the specific product, looked all over the store before I spotted it, and not once in my search did I see a sales person, let alone was approached by one. My dad was casually looking for something too, ended up not getting anything, but I think, with the right guidance, would have bought something. In fact this weekend was the male weekend. I think I was the only female customer in the store. There were about six different guys, different ages too, looking all over the store and approaching the products as if they were about to detonate bombs(you know? Really curious and involved in reading the product, but also very hesitant, holding it gently with both hands, putting it gently down, picking it up again). I think they were looking for Mother’s Day gifts.(Soooo cute!) They looked so lost, if I knew anything of the products I would have helped, but apparently the sales women were unmoved because not once did I see them approach any customer. The sales women were nice(once I got to the register), but the service was horrible because of its non-existence. I think a place that sells so many variants of one thing, should have people that know hair, know the difference between each product, and above all, are willing to help. On the up-side, the selection of products was great. This specific location received three stars from me. I hated the service my dad didn’t receive, but I knew what I was looking for. I love the selection, I would just go to the other, not so far locations, to get it.

Oh, Beauty Store Salon and Spa, you had me at «free OPI.» I went to this store for the first time today and they made me a very happy woman. Not because they offer every brand under the Sun. They don’t. In fact, in many ways they are a poor man’s version of Ulta. A smaller store with a smaller selection. But, I don’t care! They honored my Austin Go Local Card! Only instead of giving me 5% or 10% back, they offer a free OPI nail polish. Oh, and not like other store that will say«you get your free pick of polish, just pick from these three ugly, discontinued colors.» Bleh! Who wants that? Not me and not Beauty Store Salon and Spa. They said«take you pick of any polish in the store.» My eyes grew saucer big and I darted to the polish before they could take it back. But they didn’t take it back. The very nice salesgirl popped my free OPI in my bag and out the door I went! Yahoo! The only catch is that you have to spend a minimum of $ 25. But when was the last time you got out of Ulta or Sephora for less than that? Doesn’t happen to me.
