My first experience of body massage at Austin. Been there twice by now, Kerry is amazing. They charge reasonably okay. Ambiance is cozy. It feels so great after each session. And they get you in even if you book a day prior. That’s the best part. and its at walking distance from my home. :)

So I have a funny story about this place. At about 38 weeks pregnant, I was aching for a good foot rub(and secretly hoping that it might bring on some labor!) I visited this place, and despite the initial language barrier, was happy to be seated and enjoying a lovely foot rub. At one point I was reclined too much, and the blood was rushing to my head and I thought I might pass out. I signaled that I needed to be more upright and drink water, and after a few minutes, I was back to normal. Then the guy asked if I knew what I was having(boy or girl) and I said I did not. He felt a certain area near my ankle, and then pointed to my stomach and said, «You, boy.» I laughed and dismissed it as a random guess. Well, two weeks later, I delivered a healthy baby boy! :) I think back on the experience and smile. I would definitely go again, especially for the gender predictions! :)

As someone who regularly partakes in Swedish massages, acupuncture, and reflexology the«Foot Reflexology Massage» I received from here(a Living Social special) was like having all three treatments in one!!! The foot soak and gentle neck, head, and shoulder massage that started took me to my Zen place. The reflexology part can, yes, be a bit painful at times as it is more like a deep tissue message that you might get from a therapist at the gym. You NEED to tell the service person what your tolerance level and preferred pressures are in order to enjoy the whole process. They will adjust accordingly. If you don’t think they understand English well, they will bring someone to your table to translate. And, unlike a relaxing, soft Swedish message you probably will be sore for a few days; if they did the reflexology correctly. One way to avoid any negative«symptoms» is to stay REALLY hydrated(Coconut water is great) and AVOIDALCOHOL for at least 2 days following as the toxins are still leaving your body. Bluntly, you need to drink a lot of fluids and pee a lot. I was so impressed, particularly for the price, that I purchased another session for myself before walking out the door. My service was provided by Lu. No negative feedback here. xie xie!

HORRIBLE!!! I am currently recovering from a 30 minute massage I received here. I had the massage almost one week ago and my shoulder pain has progressively worsened every day. This morning I woke up and was unable to move my arm or move my head left or right because my muscles were so stiff. I originally decided to get this massage because of a small knot in my shoulder. The therapist obviously did not know what he was doing and I was in pain for the duration of the massage. I asked him to lighten up and he did briefly then went back to using intense heavy pressure. I have never had back pain like this in my entire life and it is all because of this terrible excuse for a «spa». I’ve always been pretty trusting of massage therapists and I’ve been willing to try new therapists but this place has cured me of that. From now on, I will only go to the place that I trust. Since getting the«massage» here, I have had to see an actual massage therapist and a chiropractor to just try to undo what they have done. For your health and safety’s sake, DONOTGET A MASSAGEHERE! What they are doing is dangerous and it is only a matter of time before they do some permanent damage to someone, if they haven’t already.

Let me say first this business is doing illegal practice by saying if you pay cash they will not give you a receipt things that I will report to BBB. Second people there I don’t know if they don’t know how to speak English or just pretending but my therapist told me he will do 3 min after he hurt me big time I crunched when he hurt my back and when I was done, thinking that the living social covered everything the lady in the reception asked me for 20 bucks for because I had 30mins extra that I am not aware of and when I said that they pretend they do not understand. The nerve she even ask me «lady tips»… This business is a rip off and not practicing legal business I had to take my cash back and pay with credit card because they said«use credit card get receipt use cash no receipt»…since when??? Their massage therapist are not properly trained because they just hammered you and not even ask you if you have a medical history or what not. To all who have back problems beware you might seriously get an injury here and I know what I am talking about because I have been an RN for 14 years I know what good/safe health practice is.

I bought a Living Social Voucher(too bad it doesnt send an automated email to let you know it’s about to expire) and it had just expired when I remembered about it. I contacted Body Relax Spa to ask about using it still, and they said yes, but I would have to pay the difference for full-price(no discount, in other words). That to me shows bad customer service. Whether I had used the voucher before or after expired, it is the same difference. In my life I’ve used expired coupons before by accident, and the company still honored it… because they want happy and repeat customers. I wasn’t even a first-time customer and certainly won’t be a return one.

Seriously heavy duty massage — I felt like someone had beat the crap out of me. I went in for a foot massage(which I desperately needed), but they incorporate the whole body. So if that’s what you’re looking for, it’s excellent. I was hoping for less body and more feet. I will insist on that next visit because I have another place for bodywork. This«foot massage» was 25% feet and 75% bodywork… not what I had in mind. But it was an excellent massage.
