Seriously, this place is so good! I strongly recommend the combo meal. It’s two full meals in one. This is some of the best Indian food I’ve ever tried. The couple that run it are very nice.

Had my first experience with this place the other day and it was great! I had chicken masala, samosas, and garlic naan. Everything tasted exactly the way I wanted it, except maybe the naan it was kinda doughy for me. But the service was super friendly and the masala hit the spot. I usually go all the way downtown or over to congress to sit down for my Indian food. I’m glad to know I can swing by and pick some up from you guys half a mile from my house!

the chicken tikka here has two menus. if you are in a hurry he warms up one that is cooked already. this is what everyone does with indian fast food, he explains. but if you are not in a rush he cooks up the most delicious, tender pieces of chicken that have been marinating in spices since before you woke up probably! the palak saag is great. the samosas are amazing. he also has freer custards mango flavor that are terrific. great place and really our go to indian in 78704.

Best Indian in central Texas, period. Might be in a food truck, but serves up authentic food fresh & hot. To-go or covered picnic bench always a good choice. Nan bread best ever, real Tandoori oven makes all the difference in the world. He can customize any dish because he cooks it right there when you order. Great hours, great location. Worth the drive, even from Round Rock!

I just want to say THANKYOU! I took a risk, and ordered from this place through BITESQUAD– I was NOT disappointed. I know my Indian food. I’ve lived in San Fran and New York, and have had everything from amazing to atrocious. This place is a relief. The prices, the complex spice layers. THANKYOU! The naan was tasty, though it did not seem tandoor baked, perhaps it was just moist from being wrapped. Ordered the standard fare of tikka masala and saag paneer w garlic naan and samosas. ALLOUTSTANDING! Next time, I’ll venture into korma and vindaloo territory! I will definitely order again. You won’t catch me on Rainey St any time soon, but I’ll Surely have it delivered! Very authentic. One tip to the chef or sous chef, ease up on the salt just a tad– otherwise DELICIOUS!

This place is delicious! The have many vegetarian options which is nice because so many places don’t. The food is fresh and delicious and the guy there is very nice. Lunch plate portions are big, plenty to take home for another meal. Try this place, you won’t regret it!

I DID visit them at their new location and it is still just as excellent. Too bad I live up north now and can’t visit more because I WOULD.

It was a culinary pleasure to have our lunch at this place. We were weary after a fabulous day at Hamilton Pool and headed straight here for Lunch. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were so huge that we had difficulty finishing them off. We tried Chicken tikka masala and Lamb vindaloo and loved both the dishes. We will be back here next time we come to Austin.

Man, this is an Indian meal experience on an entirely different level. I’m used to hitting up weekend buffets to get my fill at brick-and-mortar Indian restaurants where the cost of a large meal would normally be prohibitive. But take that setting to a food truck, without sacrificing much if any of the flavor, and remove all the lines and potential hassle, and you get… this place. What an incredible deal you get here. Let’s just say that in terms of the quantity of food you get, a dollar goes farther here than anywhere else I’ve ever been — and may ever go in the future. The portions are massive, and the discount is at its best in the afternoon, thanks to their unbeatable lunch specials: ranging from a $ 7 combo plate with two veggie curries, rice, naan, and a dessert to a $ 9 plate that features two meat curries with the same sides. Being that it was my first time over, I ordered the meat plate to-go to see how their chicken dishes compare to Austin’s best fare. Words can barely describe the enormous size of this meal. For less than $ 10, I was handed a shopping bag filled to the brim with the equivalent of a week’s worth of groceries. Maybe that’s an exaggeration, but there were seriously about 3 meals in there. Mouth agape, I rushed back to my office to dig in. The smells emanating from the take-out bag were intoxicating. When I finally opened it up, it was like unwrapping presents under the tree at Christmas. ‘Tis the season, after all. Every dish comes in individual containers(with a plate so you can mix and match), and the GIANT slab of naan comes enclosed in foil. Not only had they given me chicken tikka masala(my favorite!) and what tasted like chicken curry, they had also provided two extra vegetable curries. That was some major generosity. I dumped out the rice and mixed in the chicken tikka… it was delicious. Not the best I’ve had, but certainly worth going back for. The chicken is cooked perfectly with a tinge of pink on the outside, and falls apart at the touch of a fork. A little too much salt, but it does fine. The creamy sauce also gets your taste buds cheering. The rice has an inviting aroma and provides the right balance for whatever you eat with it. The chicken curry dish was much spicier, of course, but both meat and sauce were again spot on and I devoured it. I kept tearing off thick, chewy pieces of the sensational naan bread to counteract the spiciness, and it did the trick. Man, that is a lot of delightful bread. I’m still finishing the vegetable curries two meals later — a spicy garbanzo bean mix and a creamy dish with broccoli and carrot, both delicious. The dessert was nothing to write home about, but it’s a minor point. The gist of it is: this truck makes delicious food, you get so much more than you pay for, and you go home happy(while making a bit of a mess in the process). This is how you get a worthy Indian meal without the downsides of «dining out».

Food/Price ratio is insane. This guy really hooks you up with the portions. The owner of the food truck is very amicable and so genuine it makes me happy seeing him enjoy his work. I’m not sure what authentic Indian food tastes like but this is what I would imagine it to be. The curries aren’t too spicy and they have lots of flavor. The rice is always so perfect, idk how they do it. I’ve had everything on the menu including the Tandoori chicken. That took a while to come out but man was it worth it. I would recommend this place to anyone that’s looking to try out Indian food for the first time or is having a late night/lunch craving.

Every. damn. week. I eat here because I fortunately(or maybe unfortunately) live down the street and it’s the best Indian food that I’ve had so far in Austin. I’m typically a big advocate of Indian lunch buffets so that I can get the most bang for my buck and because Indian food is typically expensive outside of that, but the food is reasonably priced and, as I mentioned, awesome. I also like that the people who work here always ask what spice level you want your food to be. My go-to’s are goat curry, lamb curry, lamb vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer and veg korma — all good. But above all, the garlic naan is always a must.

The best food/price value! Super generous portions! The combos which includes naan & dessert are atleast 2 meals! One time the goat biryani lasted me 4 meals! That’s insane! I’ve tried almost all the entrees with the exception of tandoori items. Unfortunately, almost everything is super bland. The veggie combos are probably your best bet for flavor. Veg korma or Aloo Gobi are pretty good. The riata provided with all orders is bland as well. The custard is lackluster due to it being frozen and icy but that’s to be expected at a food truck. Not sure what this extra friendly talk is about. I have not experience anything other than the usual interaction with the guy that I’ve seen there. If anything, he often seems irritated when you ask him questions or call in a takeout order. Nevertheless, even with the food being bland, it isn’t bad. And the portions are just killer so those weeks when I’m over budget(ie.every week), this is a good place to get a few meals on the cheap.

The lunch special is an amazing deal with large portions. I even had enough food left for midnight munchies. The samosas are nice and flaky and the lamb curry was very flavorful. I still can’t believe I paid less $ 12 for all that food. The service was good and fast. I think I just found my new favorite spot. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Inexpensive quality indian food? Enter Bombay Dhaba food truck. I went here on Saturday night with a craving for Indian food. It’s located on south 1st in a little trailer park(not the one next to torchy’s, but the one north of that). It was kind of rainy outside, so there wasn’t anyone else there. I ordered the paneer tikka masala. This has always been my favorite Indian dish because I love paneer and you can never go wrong with tikka masala(well, almost never). The rice it came with was really flavorful and the tikka masala sauce was pretty spicy. Really delicious. In total, I spent $ 11 for paneer tikka, naan, and a bottle of water. They had a decent sized seating area which was covered with a tarp and had a few picnic tables. The food truck itself could use some sprucing up as far as the logo and design go, but who cares, the food is great. Hidden gem.
