I remember these restaurants in other cities, and years gone by, when they were shining stars on the unique Italian restaurant scene. The décor is tongue-in-cheek risqué, and menu items are still sort of Italian, although I have to confess that I have enjoyed them more in the past. We had a large group of seven, and shared a variety of entrée items. All were okay, but nothing was outstanding. .. even their giant meatball was a disappointing«lackluster.» We all agreed that their pepperoni pizza was the best dish of the day. That’s a little sad!

Make sure to chech your food before eating it we found some black hard plastic in our spaghetti and meat sauce asked for the manager because I wanted to know what it was he took the plate and said he would investigate it but never came back to our table. The server came back and said they would remove the item from our bill. Thanks Buca for nothing we need to contact the health department maybe they can identify what was not suppose to be in our food. The server was very nice but I will never go back to this place.

We went here over a decade ago and loved everything about this place. Took my family here today for dinner… what happened!!! The staff were all lounging at the entrance cracking jokes. The smell of the place was like walking through grandma’s house with old furniture and mildew. The food was less than mediocre in appearance, taste, and overpriced for the amount of food served. When we left, there were MORE staff at the entrance where we couldn’t easily get out. I am so disappointed by our experience. I am deeply saddened that someone allowed this once enjoyable restaurant get to this unfortunate state.

I’ve always loved this place but was slightly disappointed with the last experience I had with an order of tiramisu on my birthday. It was below average. I’ve made special pick up orders before just for the tiramisu but I am not so sure I’ll do that anymore. Main course and the service have never been an issue. Great environment.

We haven’t been in a while, and probably won’t again any time soon. The calamari was bland and rubbery. The coating was falling off and it was cold. No on ever asked how we liked it. The shrimp florentine was watery and tasteless, and had no flavor of butter or garlic. The shrimp were frozen and the few pieces of tomato and spinach looked old. We used up most of the shaker of cheese at the table. No one asked how we liked it. I did loved the white sangria. The hostess Kathryn was friendly and welcoming. The waitress who delivered the calamari was nice and hoped we enjoyed our meal. I ordered coffee after the meal, but shouldn’t have. All and all, money down the drain. I really felt bad because my 19yoa son wanted to take me out for a nice meal, and spent his very hard earned money on that. ** And what is up with the design/layout of the restaurant?!! Take a GPS if you have to go to the bathroom!

Terrible service! We were the only table in the entire restaurant, and this black nappy, dirty looking SERVER approached us as if he was paying for our meals or doing us a favor by eating there. He just came to the table took the order, came back dropped 3 plates on the table in a very rude disrespectful way, without saying anything. He did not refilled our drinks NOTONCE While we were eating(half of our meal) he dropped the check on the table not asking if we needed anything else, no refills or dessert. After we finished our meal we paid, and had a table full of dirty plates. And again we were the only costumes eating there on a Friday at 2pm Never coming back!

It truly breaks my heart to say this. But this was not the best experience I had when I wanted to celebrate my boyfriends birthday here. First off-when you call a restaurant to make a reservation and you inform them that this is a birthday celebration, they should make note of that, or you at least assume they would. And might I add, this is just a reservation for two people very late in the evening, but I wanted to take my guy out here because he has never heard or have been to Buca before. Needless to say, we arrive and I inform the hostess that I had made a reservation and reminded them we are here to celebrate his birthday. The service was fine. The waiter honestly didnt care what we were order and I felt that even though it was at the end of his shift, he not once came back to check on how our meal was doing gave us our check right away as we were half way through the meal. That ultimately pissed me off because we are spending quiet a lot of money on not only appetizers, main entries and a bottle of wine. But dammit-if I mentioned that we were here for a birthday especially during the beginning of our meal, you for sure need to come on out and sing happy birthday. And the cheer on top, no waiters or hostess were there at 9:00 to say good night to us as we left. Honestly I am frustrated that this had to happen and I don’t plan on coming back to this establishment again. I think the restaurants back home in California are much better and I really think being attached to the mall you are going to have crap service because it seemed like the safe only cared about their shift ending.

We had a large group of 7 family members my husband had to treat for Mother’s Day/birthdays and after reading the reviews I was EXTREMELY hesitant; it seemed they were inconsistent with their food and service and the atmosphere could be called uncomfortable. When we arrived(Mother’s Day) it was absolute chaos, I almost wanted to turn around and walk out. The host seemed stressed and unorganized. Now I’ll get to the good part… we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The waitress, Jessica(she has purple hair) was PHENOMINAL! The food was VERY good! The chicken parmesan and garlic bread was the best I’ve ever tasted!) The food although served family style was served piping hot and stayed hot even once we had packaged it in the to-go box! The only downfall was service was extremely slow. It took about 30 minutes to get our salad and about another 30 minutes to get our first hot entrée after that. They actually forgot to bring out our chicken parmesan and the waitress gladly removed it from the bill without us even asking! We understood with it being Mother’s Day. There was a little left for leftovers and I will definitely return with a large group! The atmosphere is a little strange but whatever floats your boat or peanut butters your jelly! I had a sensational Mother’s Day!

My husb and I ate here on a Monday night for a quick-ish anniversary dinner. Our waiter was kind and helpful, but the other people he was serving are what made the experience awkward. Some dude who was eating alone loudly complained about something minuscule(his chicken was dry or something stupid like that) and another couple took a business call over their speaker phone and were talking loudly like they were the only people in the joint. It was annoying af. The food however was delicious. We ordered cheese bread that was chewy, warm, and crunchy all at once(my favorite combination) and split an order of chicken parm and fettuccini Alfredo. It was all damn good. I’d say the only thing negative about this restaurant is their holier than thou clientele.

My husband and I tried to go to Bucca di Beppo this past weekend. Unbeknownst to us, it was prom night for local area high schools. We were told that because they had so many large groups coming in for prom, they wouldn’t seat us unless we had reservations. Reservations for 2… at Bucca di Beppo… at 6:15 on a Saturday? HAHAHAHA no way! Your food ain’t that good. Hope you had fun with all the teenagers.

I was excited to go but unfortunately was almost immediately disappointed. Mainly, the food was all the same softness, which is just weird, especially as it was chicken parmiggiana, spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread. There was no crisp on anything that was supposed to be crispy. It was microwaved. Bread that is $ 8 is unacceptable. Microwaving the food is unacceptable. Charging an arm and a leg as well as being slow on service is also unacceptable. Disappointing experience all the way around.

. When we first got there we should have left based on the smell in the entry. Not really sure what it was, feet? Unpleasant, still we waited for the host. He was«bouncy» awkward. We had to ask for our drinks after we waited a long time. The water tasted like dirt. The food was satisfactory. Not very good. Not bad. The cheesy bread had a slightly fishy after taste. That was weird. Powdered parm on the table in pizza shakers seems … Meh. I’d rather have fresh grated cheese at the table although I’m not sure it would make much difference. I left with a huge headache. Do yourself a favor and Don’t!

I love going to buca when I want some good Italian food to satisfy my cravings or when I’m with a big group because their portions could feed an entire village! Ok maybe not but you get the idea. Service has always been great when I’ve gone.

Pretty fun place to eat when in a ginormous group. My husband’s work place had their Christmas dinner reservations here this year and we went to scope out the place because we have never been. Side note: Don’t come here unless you’re in a party of 4 or more, the entrees are family style sharing so folks don’t get their own plate of entrée, thus, you all share the wealth of food and make sure you can all decide on what should be ordered. The reservation room was for a party of 60 so they took us to a room in the back. The place is TOTALLY deceptive of how big it is, we went to the bar to wait as they were readying the room for setup and all I saw was a small dining area but goodness, there are so many compartments of eating areas, one could get lost finding their way back! Ordered a buca bella at the bar and husband had a mojito, they were okay but yikes at the $ 10 buca bella, not worth it imo. Should’ve gotten the sangria, much better looking and delicious! Once the room was ready, wait staff led us into the dining area to be seated, he specifically led us through the kitchen area where I saw softball sized meatballs on the line to be taken out to tables and got very excited. Alas, the company did not order us giant sized meatballs. We were seated very very intimately, 60 people rsvped, and the room held 36 people who actually showed, when they mean family style, they mean it. The people sitting all around you soon enough will be family with how close they are in your elbow space. Bread + olive oil and balsamic was good, salads came in giant bowls for the tables to share, we also had stuffed cannolis, spaghetti and meat sauce, and chicken parm, with cheesecake for dessert which was amazing. Way too much food so folks got to take home leftovers which always excites me when I can take home 2 slices of cheesecake. Yum. P. S. Don’t feel bad if you have to roll yourself outta there after you’ve paid bill and all, they know you’re eating good here!

The service is ridiculous here. We came with a party of about 10, and it took 30 minutes to take an order, and 1HR before the first appetizer plate arrived. When I did ask for an eta, they said the kitchen had a large order. We didn’t expect that the 5 large plates be delivered immediately, but 1 by 1 is reasonable. We have several parties that came in after us that we’re finished. Not eating here again. Fix the staff and service.

Love the family size portions and food. Service: On my visit for my friend’s birthday dinner we did not have excellent service. The server never refilled my water once through out the entire time, he forgot to bring an appetizer dish to a table(never got it), he put in a order that came out cold, the list continues. When the manager was notified she acted indifferent like she just wanted to move on to something else. Food: The calamari was AMAZING! I am in love with the spicy marinara dipping sauce it came with. Delish! For the entrée I had the shrimp diablo(spelling?) Amazing! On my last visit because I was craving the food the service and food was on point! The waiter, Brandon, was cool. I tried the chicken inferno as the entrée. It was delicious. Maybe the last server and manager had a bad day. The food couldn’t keep me away.

This Buca Di Beppo needs more service staff. I was so embarrassed to have brought my out of town family here on a Saturday night. Our waiter barely came by because he was constantly running around to other tables. He told us that the mozzarella bread we ordered wasn’t even enough to fill a small basket, but he didn’t bring us the full large bread until after we finished eating. 2 stars because the food is pretty good

I’ve only been to one other Buca’s and this one was just average as far as restaurants go. They didn’t do anything wrong, but they didn’t do anything great. The food was good, nothing magnificent, but maybe it’s just because I don’t visit a lot of chain type restaurants. If you aren’t familiar with Buca’s though, this IS an excellent place for groups. All of their dishes are family size(feed 2 – 4 people), so it’s fun to order a few things and share.

I was hungry and didn’t want to go far to eat and settled for this place, We have a few back in Utah so I wasn’t too excited. Ordered some simple dishes, caprese salad, garlic mozzarella bread, Chicken Parmigiana with a side of Fettuccine Alfredo. And lastly the cheesecake. The good: the bread had loads of garlic on it. The caprese salad was good but hard to mess that one up. The cheesecake was excellent. The bad: the chicken parmigiana and fettuccine alfredo was just average, almost tasted like a tv dinner. Not sure I would ever go back to this location or the ones in Utah.
