Chai Wine Tasting

I work at a luxury apartment community in north Austin, and we had the pleasure of having Kristen at Chai Wine tasting host one of our resident events. This event had the largest turn-​out of any of our events, and Kristen handled everything well from beginning to end. First, she was fine with accommodating additional people, giving us her opinion as to how many bottles we would need (and she ended up being spot on, we were emptying the last bottle as the event was ending).
The day of the event, Kristen showed up early and had some great decorations (this was a Valentines themed chocolate wine tasting). She took care of everything so all we had to do was sit back and enjoy ourselves with our residents. Kristen was knowledgeable and spoke about different wines from different regions. My only small complaint was that some of the pictures of regions were hard to see, but then again we were in a room of about 50 people. Kristen knew quite a lot about the different regions and even showed us the dos and donts of smelling and tasting the wines.
By the end of the event, everyone was having a great time getting to know one another. The event went off without a hitch, and we would highly recommend Kristen to other apartment communities for resident events. This was stress-​free and lots of fun.

What an AWESOME business model! Some friends of ours live in a suburban community with a wonderful HOA that organizes regular neighborhood events. They’ve have Chai Wine tasting come out twice for wine tasting events and I was lucky enough to get an invite to the most recent one.
Kristen came out to the HOA community center with 4 wines planned around the theme she was provided: Holidays. She brought wines to pair with meals for the varying winter holidays. We had a cava to meet the sparkling needs of New Year’s Eve, a white and light red (e.g., pinot noir) to pair with Turkey for Thanksgiving, and a big, bold red (e.g., primativo… much like a zinfandel) to pair with red meats and Italian dishes for Christmas.
Kristen spent about 2 hours with us continually pouring delicious wine, walking us through the proper tasting procedures (e.g., look, smell, taste), outlining the origins of the wine, and what foods it pairs well with. The flow of the evening was great. She allotted the perfect amount of time for us to mingle, taste, listen & learn, and enjoy the wine while socializing. She answered any and all questions and encouraged us to formulate our own opinions about a wine: what we smelled in it, what we tasted in it, what we thought it paired well with.

New to Texas, our real estate agent — now friend — gave us a Texas Wine Tasting party in our new home. What a great way to meet our neighbors! Kristen was the consummate professional, very knowledgeable and articulate. She managed the loud, happy group with grace and humor. We look forward to more events with CWT.
