5 stars for a family owned bbq trailer? Are people nuts? No, in this EXCLUSIVEREVIEW, you will truly want Hog Wild BBQ after reading. I didn’t start coming to this place until late sophmore year because the hours were conflicting with my normal schedule(opens 11am-2/3 pm) but I always walked by it at night and felt like I had to try it at one point. Not going to lie, this is some heavy stuff and the pulled pork, chicken, and sausage all crammed in for a very flavorful meal. Brisket also tasty too. Also I’d like to acknowledge I usually don’t get coleslaw but here I do. I think they make their own bbq sauce because i’ve never tasted anything like it before. It’s spicy and kind of reminds me of white bbq sauce. but enough of that… it is so worth… also free jalapenos They genuinely care about serving the best quality, and I have a good story on customer service. One time, my credit card was rejected, and the wife let me have the food anyway as long as I promised to pay back. I just felt very grateful and guilty at the same time the whole day and of course I paid back lol. Turns out they’ve been doing this for a while and no one has ever stood them up. Pretty impressive. UT pretty much has great bbq on campus yet so many people haven’t tried it out. It’s not even expensive so get some… and a handful of napkins while you’re at it. EDIT: I DONTKNOWWHEREITISANYMORE

Absolutely love this place!!! I think it’s the best kept secret of Austin because it’s never crowded. The barbeque is always delicious, cole slaw dynamite, and barbeque sauce out of this world. Every single meat is juicy! Oh and did I mention it’s on a wrap… HEAVENNNNNN!!! The owner is also awesome he’s usually the one back there grilling.

The sandwiches here are sooo amazingly good. I highly recommend this place for anyone who’s trying to satisfy their stomach to some good BBQ. The location is super convenient and the people there like marc are super friendly and they try to make sure that you’re satisfied with the food. I heard that the catholic church is making them relocate unfortunately by replacing them with ATM machines. Hopefully they’ll be able to open shop on campus. Boy that would be great.

Marc is making big time BBQ. His trailer is small proving that dynamite truly comes in small packages. I’ve worked in barbecue shops in Mississippi, drenched St. Louis ribs with it’s world-famous sweet sauce, and I’ve sought out the best brisket all over Texas. Mark’s bbq stands next to all of them. Plus, he knows you when you walk up. His prices are a steal. I go here before any restaurant near campus.

Hog Wild BBQ consistently delivers with high-quality food at an incredible value. The owner takes well-earned pride in selecting and preparing the variety of meats that are at the heart of the wraps and sandwiches. All the permutations of meat combinations are delicious. I enjoy the wrap done«all the way»(with everything on it). The service is friendly and personalized. I have been eating lunch here for years, and a visit to Hog Wild BBQ is always a great midday lift. I work in the English Department, and the meals here sustain me for a productive day. By reliably delivering great food at amazing prices, Marc and his crew are providing a real service to the UT Austin community.

It’s a sure thing. The meat is always lean and tender, and the honey mustard jalapeño cole slaw is delicious. I’ve eaten here more than any other place at UT. 6 bucks a meal can’t be beat. At a different location at the right time they could easily charge at least 10. The owner is a decent guy too.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s really great, especially considering the price and that it’s on campus. The pulled pork sandwich with sausage is delicious and huge. There is never a long wait and the owner is really nice.

The truck was downtown during SXSW and I think the prices may have been raised by about a dollar. Nice price, nice food, nice staff. The meat was tender and flavorful. Meat was pre-made so not a long wait but still hot.

I love this place, I come here every Monday after school when my class lets out with my friends. The price is just right and they have some great combo deals. The meat tastes great(I always get the pulled pork and the brisket.) I have no complaints about this establishment. My only suggestion would be: be open more hours! y’alls food tastes amazing anytime of day.

Got a Unilocal deal for a wrap and a drink. Sir, please wrap it in a way that the sauce doesn’t spill out over the entire damn wrap, destroying the purpose of the meat even being in a wrap(which is to not get my hands filled with a bucket-load of sauce). Entire experience was messy as hell and didn’t appreciate the carelessness. I will however say that the pulled pork(which was in the wrap) was pretty decent. 4/10, with points primarily for taste and pricing on deal, but will not come again.

Hungry. On the way to Sam’s Club(Open House) Hungry. Smellled the place as I drove past for a place to park — Amazing. Mouth waters. Walked over as the last of the rush got their food and left Hungry. Really Hungry. Got the half pound 2timer(pulled pork and sausage on roll) — the missuz got the JJ(she really liked it) — pork… tender as a baby’s bottom — mustard based cole slaw — the truth! — the roll — wonderfull — the sausage was good but really just a addon I think I found my food truck crush.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s really great, especially considering the price and that it’s on campus. The first time I got a pulled pork sandwich with sausage on it which as great, there’s not a ton of good pulled pork in this town. The second time I went they were out of both pulled pork and sandwich buns so that really put me in a bind. The cashier told me I could just buy two wraps instead, so I did. I got one that had chicken and sausage as well as one with brisket and sausage. The chicken was surprisingly good. I don’t usually like chicken but it’s actually one of the best meats here and I’d totally get it again. The brisket wasn’t so impressive but the pitmaster told me that it didn’t look as good as usual today and he apologized. I might give it a shot some other time. Also, a sidenote for Unilocalers, I went here when it was on campus in the spring semester but I looked them up on facebook and they appear to be at the Aboretum Sam’s Club over summer until August 28th.
