Love this place! Chicken, rice and cheese tacos are legit another go to would be beans, cheese and bacon. The gorditas are decent but I preferred the ones at their old south congress location. Place is a bit meh but I always do call in orders.

Juanitas just reopened in my neighborhood off Airport and i wanted to try it. I had some breakfast tacos(chorizo egg and cheese/potato egg and cheese). It was an extremely greasy tasteless mess sitting in stale tortillas, i won’t be back.

I used to live at the Pressler apartments and worked right at 5th and Lamar. Obviously I walked to work since I was so close, but it didn’t take long for my walk to include an almost daily detour called Juanita’s Tacos. I used to get such a great enjoyment of starting my day with such delicious food, eventually guilt set it when my work mates would look really hungry while I ate. Eventually I became known as the Taco Man since I brought in tacos on a regular basis. And while the location has changed, the setting is night and day from the old little caboose! The new location is HUGE! Plenty of room to sit and enjoy a hot meal. Luckily, Juanita still believes that the best ingredients make the best food. I had really missed her food and lucky for me, today I was craving her tacos. To my surprise I saw that she had re-opened and that sealed the deal for me. It was a bit of a drive from 360 @ 2222 but very much worth it. I’ll see you next week Juanita!

I used to like Juanita’s pretty good when it was a food-caboose on W. 5th. Since the new restaurant opened I have a whole new respect for it. Their food has only gotten BETTER. The atmosphere inside is a bit David Lynch but the only thing that matters to me are the Tacos. And Juanita’s Tacos are second to none. Seriously. The best. I’ll say it; Best Breakfast Tacos In Town. I mean it. Don’t believe me? Try them. You’ll see. Resect.

Let me start off by saying that the owner was friendly. Other than her being friendly the tacos were very small but they tasted okay. Even if the tacos only cost one dollar each I would still not go back there. Donut taco Palace number three is much better.

I felt like I was eating in an abandoned VFW, which I would do for a good taco. The location is large, empty, and odd, but then I don’t care. There seemed to be only 1 person there(Juanita?)… she came out, took my order, went and cooked it, then brought it out. Again, it was just me there, so no worries. I had the Al Pastor(my go-to) and the beef fajita. The corn tortillas were good, but not great(a little on the crunchy side). The salsa was good and spicy. The Al Pastor was ok, though it had pico on it… I’ve never had a(good) Al Pastor that needed anything but cilantro and onions. The beef fajita was very good… not the overwhelming lettuce and tomatoes that some places put on it. That was definitely my favorite. The price was a tad high for super divey tacos at $ 2.50 each, not that it really adds up on a couple tacos. I’ll certainly go again, though I wouldn’t make a special trip of it.

This used to be Juanitas Tacos in the Little Red Cabbose on 5th( ). New location, 16 months later … maybe some other changes too. I asked for an off menu breakfast, chilaquiles, and they made it for me … no problem. I appreciate that they prepared this dish mild, and had the hot sauce on the side. I really prefer being able to dial in my own heat level.
