Mike recently finished a master bathroom remodel for us. It was almost a complete remodel except that we kept the bathtub and cabinets. Pricewise Mike’s estimate was the highest we received, but not significantly. I felt his estimate was more detailed than others’ though, and I suspect that if I had gone with another contractor, the«forgotten» costs would have ended up bumping their price to or above what Mike was quoting. In fact, even though some extra work was required to deal with original construction issues, we weren’t charged extra. The quality of the work is excellent. It’s most evident in the straight, tight lines of the tile. Like myself, Mike is picky about his work and makes sure all the details are taken care of. He’s not going to rush through your job, and it will be done right. My complaint would be that there were cases where communication was poor, particularly with the third party suppliers. One morning I got a call saying the tile needed to be paid for immediately or the tiling would be delayed.(There had been no prior mention that the tile order had even come in.) There were also problems with the frameless glass shower because the order was placed without our input. We had to have the order pulled and changed, which caused a small delay and less than stellar customer treatment from the glass supplier. All in all the experience was good. This is the first project of this size we’ve done so I have nothing to personally compare it to, but I’ve heard remodeling horror from others, and the problems we faced don’t compare.
