I was nervous when I read the review of Mack’s after my insurance company told me that’s who would be coming out to pick up my 1958 Ford. However, The driver arrived within the given time period and was SO good with my car! Mark was the driver who came out to tow my car to the shop and he was so polite and took special care to get my LONG car onto the flatbed with no scrapping. I had no issue at all with this company and am pleased with the service. Thanks, Mark, for getting my car there safe and sound.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! JUSTGETTINGHIMTHERE — My car broke down this afternoon and I called road side assistance through my insurance company. I wanted my car towed further than what they would pay for so I agreed to pay the difference. This company took credit cards so we decided to go with them. I was first told that it was going to be up to 90 minutes. This was disappointing because it was 106 degrees today and that was a long wait but I agreed. Once they were 15 minutes beyond 90 minutes, I called my insurance company back and they called Mack’s. We were told he was«13 minutes away and would be there shortly.» Fine… hot, tired but fine… My insurance company gave me the number to the towing service in case I needed it again. I wait another 30 minutes… I called the towing service and it goes to voice mail. I called my insurance company back and they find a second number to call which they did. They tell me… «he’s right around the corner and will be there in a minute or two.» I guess my insurance company didn’t buy it either because she said she would call me back in 5 minutes to make sure. Guess what? No wrecker… My insurance company finally decided to pay for my entire tow AND call another service. She didn’t cancel the one from Mack’s just in case he was«right around the corner». 50 minutes from«right around the corner» the guy showed up!!! Almost 3 hours after our first call. THEACTUALSERVICE(ORLACKOF) — While all this was going on I had been talking to my mechanic(please see my review of Japanese Motor Sports). One problem I had was that while I was waiting was that now my windows wouldn’t roll up in my car. I was worried about this because I didn’t want it towed and left at my mechanic(which was NOW going to be after hours) with the windows down. My mechanic, John, suggested that I have the tow truck guy give me a jump and that should be enough to get my windows up. When the guy showed up he refused to do this AND said that MAYBE he could do it when we got to the mechanics. I explained that I needed to call my insurance company and tell them he showed up because they already called someone else. He told me that means they had already cancelled his service and that he was going to leave. I thought this was rather crappy of him BUT didn’t want to deal with him anymore anyway so I let him go. So basically after being in the 106 degree heat from around 1:30 pm(when I started having issues) to about 6 pm I was still okay with letting the Mack truck driver NOT get my business. I patiently waited for another 30 just because this company was so awful. And from what the other reviewer said… sounds like I might have had the same guy. I was defiantly left with an uncomfortable feeling.
