I have been seeing Dr Nugent regularly for about 8 Years or more now. I came upon him randomly after going to other Drs when I moved here from Chicago. He has been with me through 2 pregnancies, allergies, mental changes. He is very kind, patient and gets to the point. He’s never late and makes your time with him important. I feel he has helped me very much along this journey of life. His Nurse Amy is awesome too!

Dr. Nugent was, and still is, an excellent physician. I was able to get an appointment at the time and on the day that I needed. I didn’t have to wait too long until he was able to see me. He was very attentive to my needs as he answered all my questions to the best of his ability.

Dr. Nugent was great. I set an appointment and they saw me right away. There was no crowded waiting room and all of his staff was extremely nice and informative. Dr. Nugent came in the room quickly and spoke with me. He never rushed and listened to my answers/concerns without interrupting. I am definitely recommending him to all my family and friends!

Two major reasons I liked Dr. Nugent: 1. He was able to see me the day I needed an appointment. 2. He spent as long as he needed to get an idea of what’s wrong with me. Usually I’m lucky if I get 5 minutes with a doctor. Or that they’re antsy to attend to the cattle call of patients. Not Dr. Nugent. I felt like he genuinely wanted to get down to the bottom of my issues and didn’t try to peddle expensive drugs on me. Like the other posters here, I am looking for a new GP and I think I just found him.

I’m apparently a six-year old boy at heart, or at least quantifiably male: I’m not that big a fan of going to the doctor, and when my regular doc retired several months ago, I was left with the unenviable task of trying to replace him with another. I’m not terribly complex in this department: I just need a doctor who I feel listens to what’s going on, makes a sound decision, someone I can develop a rapport with. And for me, Dr. Nugent genuinely helped in that department. He’s got an amiable bedside manner, was genuinely curious but not super intrusive or over-eager to share unsolicited advice, and when he found out I was a geek(yeah, like I could keep that under wraps) he was all fired up to show off the new system they have in place for zapping your prescriptions directly to the pharmacy of your choice instantaneously. I’m still not fond of going to the doctor, but when I do, I’d much rather go to one I like. And in that sense, this was definitely a mission accomplished scenario.

I don’t have a regular general practitioner here in Austin, so when I spent the weekend with a fever, I immediately woke up Monday morning and called Austin Regional Clinic and Mark Nugent was able to get me right in. When I called to make the appointment, I thought the scheduler was a little short with me. My throat was quite sore and I had a hard time talking loud enough. But I guess that is the beauty of Austin Regional Clinic. I prefer more personal service than getting passed around on the phone. Luckily, when I showed 10 minutes late for my appointment, everyone was really nice. Dr. Nugent immediately identified my symptoms as the flu, and gave me a flu test on the spot. He let me nap in the room with the lights off while he waited for the results. I left the within the hour, with positive results, and 2 prescriptions.
