We went here for New Year’s Eve dinner. Overall it was okay. Nothing was really terrible about the place, but when you added up all the small stuff it was enough to not plan on going there again. Customer Service You shouldn’t have to hear the manager on duty berating a waiter in the main dining room. It wasn’t loud and didn’t draw lots of stares, but the manager was clearly not happy and he took it out on his servers in front of patrons. Our server either had too many tables to serve or was not a good manager of his time. There were long periods when we felt he left us. He had to come back once to make sure he had our order right, then when we asked for some more water in our water glasses, he never came back to fill them. We were sitting close to the kitchen door. Right next to the place where they sort silverware. All evening long there was constant banging of silverware being sorted next to us. We were about 10 feet away. They should have had this station more private. Food Our experience at the bar was good and our bartender recommended two beverages which we both liked. I ordered a fillet of beef with a blue cheese dressing on it. It was good. The wild mushrooms had a great taste, but were too salty. We ordered shrimp kisses as an appetizer. They were dry and rubbery. If you are going to eat a steak at the Domain, walk the 50 extra steps and eat at Flemmings as the experience and food will be 100 times better. We won’t be back.

Went there on Thanksgiving Day. Had a reservation but it took another hour longer to be seated. Food took forever to come out and when it did, it was cold. When we complained about our food, management said they would refund our food, but they never kept their promise. I won’t be back.

Little pricey but the food is good. The chocolate bag dessert is the best thing ever! Stupid app wants a longer review, don’t really know what else to say so now I’m just writing whatever comes to mind in order to make this review long enough.

Overpriced seafood considering the portions being served. Had a wedge salad, calamari, and the seafood trio. All very delicious. The calamari appetizer was actually very small and not meant for sharing. Seafood trio was plenty for one person. They have a bar and plenty of wines to choose from.

Pros: service was good, lobster bisque was very tasty. Cons: everything else, the overall meal was unremarkable, the creamed spinach came out luke warm with mostly cold spots. Crab cakes were just ok, I’ve had better at a hole in the wall seafood place. I would not return especially when there are so many great food options at the domain.

This place is just OK… The service was bad, the food was mediocre and the prices were too high for what you get. However, the ambiance has improved over the years with a recent remodel and the view is beautiful. We were at dinner for 3 hours last night and not one busser came to take away our dirty plates which sat there for 20+ minutes. Our poor server was sat 3 tables(one had 10 people) at one time and was clearly overwhelmed. The other server working looked pissed off that they had to be there on Christmas Eve. Advice to management: Make sure that you have an adequate amount of servers and bussers for a busy night. I was visiting from out of town and will be requesting that we go somewhere else next time I am in Seattle visiting my family.

We made reservations for Christmas Day because I didn’t feel like cooking. In retrospect, even my cooking is better than this. I wouldn’t even have minded washing all the dishes. Right after we were seated, the lights went down so low that I could barely see. The waiter said he’d check about turning them back up, but we were told it was automated, and that there was nothing they could do. Kudos to them for moving our group to a booth that had a lamp, though. The food: Overly salty, unexceptional. String beans were raw(not just crisp) and excessively seasoned. My salmon was a small, thin slice, overly-grilled and tough. The mash was bland and unremarkable. Somehow neither of my sons received what they ordered. Neither of the steaks were cooked to the order requested, but we only sent back one, and it returned overcooked. Overall, I expected much better food than what we received. We waited a long time for our ticket, and when the waiter finally brought it, he said he had made adjustments for the errors. That was nice of him, but we won’t be back. It just wasn’t worth the huge amount of money we spent for what we hoped would be a nice holiday dinner.

McCormick and Sheeeits — Would be a better name. I got a four finger special — that means the waiters fingers in my delivered food plate. Got the wrong salad dressing. No offers or check backs on drinks. 3 tries to get the bill correct. Christmas dinner — NEVERAGAIN. Bill, at the door, probably the manager, asked how things were for dinner -》Fair was my reply. He wanted to help if we come back again… won’t be an «again». Try Applebee’s or Chilis if you want something to eat and don’t want real service. You don’t get what you pay for at M&$.

I’ve been to M&S about 4 times. A month ago I went in to celebrate my Birthday. The service and food left me a little unimpressed but it was a Saturday night and they were busy. So I brought it up to management the next day not thinking they’d do a whole lot about it. I was wrong. Brian(GM) went out of his way to show me that M&S’s reputation means a great deal to him. When I went back in last night with a business associate… I was thoroughly impressed. I had one of the best filets I’ve ever had, the service was nothing short of a 5-star restaurant and Brian was very generous with regards to the bill. Every restaurant deserves a mulligan and I will definitely return to M&S.

Ugh. Okay, so this place is nice for atmosphere, and at the time I went there it was almost Veteran’s Day and they were planning free meals for veterans, which I thought was awesome. Service was good. The cocktails we had were pretty great, too, so points for that. My food, however, was unremarkable and then later made me queasy. I don’t know what sort of oil they cook things in, but it was just that feeling you get when the grease you ate was … wrong, somehow. I don’t see myself returning here, considering there are tons of other great options at The Domain.

Horrible service. This is the second time we had this waiter that smells bad and the service was the worst. Silverware was filthy, and when I asked for a drink without food partials I was told a few times that it was the drink… I guess he felt the need to be right. Gross! I tried to give McCormick and Schmick’s a few chances but I simply can’t anymore.

Two stars is being generous, to be honest. The food was delicious, it was made to perfection, which is why I give McCormick & Schmick’s a higher start rating than one. My experience was not the best, and I wouldn’t wish what I went through on my worst enemy. We arrived at 7:15pm and were seated, my family and I waited 15 minutes until our server, Chris, showed up. No big deal, I understand its a Saturday evening and its peak hours for dinner service, but this is McCormick & Schmick’s, a well known restaurant with experienced staff that can handle a relatively full restaurant, why would my server make us wait 15 minutes before showing up? We figured we would make it easy on Chris, our server, and order entrees with our drinks. 20 minutes pass and we get some of our drinks, we remind Chris that not all drinks have been delivered, he quickly apologizes and says he will check on the rest. 30 minutes pass and we receive our food, which was delicious, but we’re still missing some drinks. Half way through dinner we get our last drinks. We didn’t want the drinks then because it as too late. its now close to nine and it’s time for desserts, we order them because we are celebrating. Again it took close to 30 minutes to receive our orders. At this point we are all annoyed. Notice how I haven’t said that our waiter, Chris, filled up our waters. It’s 9:15pm and we our check, $ 350 so we pay. $ 150 in gift cards that I got with points from my credit card company, $ 100 cash and the rest on my credit card. I got my credit card receipt and I was charged $ 150. Lets do the math, the check was $ 350, minus $ 150 from rewards and $ 100 cash should leave me with a balance of $ 100, so why was I charged $ 150? When Chris showed up we told him the amount he charged was wrong, he didn’t seem to think it was mistake. I asked him why not? he said«because one of your reward cards is inactive» and I said, «why didn’t you tell me this first before running my card? Where is the rewards card that is inactive?» He left, I asked for a manager and the manager was not listening to my concerns. Why didn’t it concern him that his employee is not letting me know what he is charging on my credit card? And why is he not concerned that I haven’t gotten my «inactive» rewards card back? I would figure that he would at least take care of the drinks that were an hour late but no, we were charged for every drink. I didn’t leave the restaurant until close to 10:00pm due to slow service, being ignored and overcharged. All we wanted was a nice meal, with superb service, and we get Chris, a waiter that shows up every 30 minutes and felt like he was trying to pull a fast one on us. Why didn’t he communicate about any of the issues? I dislike writing bad reviews about costumer service but seriously, if I’m paying close to $ 50 per person I expect better service. Tonight was a joke, I hope to eat at McCormick’s & Schmick’s again in the near future and I expect grade A service.

Happy Hour is 4pm to 7pm daily. It’s excellent. Both drink and food have good deal! We always order Cheese Burger with fries, calamari and mussels. I ordered Bruschetta this time, it turned out very good too.

I was hoping for a better experience. It was a double birthday dinner for me and a friend. We ordered 3 apps: Seafood stuffed mushroom — 5 pieces, a decent portion but all of us felt it was too salty. Crab cake — the best tasting item of the night. There was only 1. Was sad by that. Steamed mussels — just your regular steamed mussels in wine sauce. Not memorable. Entrees(we shared everything): Shrimp scampi — jumbo shrimp but the pasta was bland. Missing the lemony garlicky taste. Mako shark — highly recommended by our waitor, it came with mashed potatoes. It was alright tasting. Wasn’t good or bad. Ultimate seafood combo — salmon, scallops, and shrimp two ways. The scallops were the second best bite of the night. Sides: Lobster mash — it wasn’t as good as I expected. There were decent amount of lobster but didnt taste fresh. Brussels sprouts — this was good, my friends enjoyed it. Had bits of bacon or pork belly. Overall, the meal felt heavy. Most of the dishes were very buttery and salty. Compliments to our servers for the service and being patient with our group. Because of the food, I will not be returning.

10/26/2015 Great birthday awards lunch. They have the only Apple Walnut upside down pie in Texas. It is awesome. The Cajun chicken pasta is down home spicy and good. The mussels are excellent. ============== Best lobster bisque ever, seafood trio was spectacular. The calamari was excellent. The mussels were amazing. My first time getting either appetizer. The birthday dessert was the cream brûlée. First time trying that dessert. It was very good.

We won’t be back. The apps, desserts and drinks were fine, but my husband’s salmon was served raw; literally the entire inside was raw. We showed the waiter and he said«oh wow, I will get this taken care of». By the time he came back with a new one, I had completely finished my meal. I sat and waited for my husband to eat his entire meal and then we ordered our dessert. We fully expected that we would receive an apology and that something would have been comped: his meal, a dessert, really anything to help make up for the fact that our romantic dinner date was messed up by my hubby’s raw salmon. No apologies, just our $ 112.00 bill in full with nothing comped to cap off our crappy experience. Shame on them for how they handled this situation!

I’m pretty sure we’re supposed to complain about all things Domain, like how green was my valley before that hipster virus set in. But when I get a late afternoon text demanding to be fed cheap & good, with real plates & table service, the Domain can suddenly become Happy Hour Mecca. Of course there are better choices downtown, but sometimes, you don’t want to screw around with a thousand other people looking for a deal with parking too. You won’t confuse McCormick & Schmick’s happy hour menu with their full-blown dinner one, but you’re not supposed to. There were fourteen food items ranging from three to six dollars apiece, and some were better than others: I thought the Calamari was good, along with the fish tacos — that flatbread thing and the Ahi chunks, not so much. When in doubt, go with their sliders, cheeseburger plate, and sweet potato fries. And lots of beer. Two of us did half the menu with iced tea for forty bucks, and it was a little too much food. Ever notice how service people working big corporate restaurants wear the same outfit, and haven’t quite fallen off the truck when it comes to great customer service? Our person Andrea was terrific, everyone here was friendly, and I think that’s all part of the plan. And besides, it’s pleasant to use real cloth napkins now & then. If the Domain were a world of Happy Hour investment, I’d say McCormick & Schmick’s provides a pretty solid return.

My company has had two Holiday parties at McCormick’s. Since I was organizing it, working with their Event Manager was a pleasure. Booking their private room was easy. All of the planning was done six months in advance as most places book quickly in December. I emailed my inquiry with the date and times I would like the party along with the estimate head count. Rapidly received an email back with the contract and group menus. With the signed contract returned, I focused on the menu. Event menu pricing is based on per person and ranges from $ 40.00 to $ 100.00. There is a separate sheet for appetizers. The night of the party, after telling the hostess the name of our party, we were lead to a nicely decorate private room. Tables were set but left plenty of walking and mingle space. Depending on the size of the party, you will have either 2 or 3 wait staff exclusively. Staff assign are very efficient and bend over backwards to cater to your needs. The last party, I joked with the Event manager that if she didn’t have bleu cheese stuffed olives to go in my martini that I was going somewhere else. Two minutes after I arrived, the head waiter found me and asked me to wait a minute. He came back with a martini with bleu cheese olives in it. That is service. What can I say about the food, everything was delicious. One of the shrimp appetizers was so good, it was gone before everyone had some. I asked for another tray and they made more with a smile. I highly recommend them for private parties.
