I brought a residential electric lawn mower in for a simple repair and was out the door in 15min. I do agree the guys in the front could use a little training when it comes to customer service.

Very expensive and then when they tried to show me it worked, the mower wouldn’t start because they left it out in the rain. I had to come back later in the day to get it. Then my boyfriend started mowing with it. It was totally his doing that the sparkplug wire came loose while getting up under the bushes but, they didn’t have to call him a stupid idiot when we brought it back in! Stupid idiots are people who act that way towards customers that are there because they don’t know how to work on machinery. Before, when the mower wouldn’t start because they left it out in the rain, I wasn’t going back. Now, I will tell everyone what a bunch of stupid idiots work at this place.

I took 3 pieces of equipment into this company for service … a lawn mower, weed wacker, and leaf blower. They did a decent job in the lawn mower tune-up(although it was astonomically expensive), but here is the results on the weed wacker and the leaf blower: WEEDWACKER: I told the service person that I was having problems with the bump feed mechanism on the trimmer line. He told me to replace the bump mechanism with a fixed pre-cut string mechanism. So, he sold me a new mechanism. After I got it home, a piece of trimmer line jammed in the mechanism on the very first use and I could not remove it. I took it back to McCoys and spoke to another service guy. He told me that he would have never sold me that type of mechanism because«they arent any good» and to go back to the type of mechanism I had originally. Then, he wanted to sell it to me, even though I had just purchased the other mechanism from them that failed on the first try! He would not even give me a price break. So, they sold me a piece of equipment that they acknowledged was crap, then they would not stand behind it when it failed on the very first use and then wanted me to buy something else. Unbelievable! LEAFBLOWER: I took my leaf blower in for repair because the motor did not seem to be running at a high RPM. I wanted a tune-up. When I got it home, I pulled the cord to start the blower and several inches of the pull cord would not retract back into the blower, which has never happened before. I took it back to McCoys and they would not repair it, but yet acknowledged that they had taken it apart to access the motor to do the tune up. Their service guy said, «Yep, those things happen. We can repair it, but we will charge you for it». They never did repair it. Now, it runs worse than when I brought it in and the cord doesn’t fully retract. This company could care less about customer service. The pricing for simple equipment repair borders on ridiculous. They charged me as much for a tune up on my mower as I did to buy it new in the first place. I will never darken the doors to this company ever again. The customer service is horrible!
