This McDonald’s is a joke, very poor customer service, manager himself is rude. Called and complained about my food and they didn’t believed me so they hanged up the phone and told me to «call somewhere else with that BS». What a joke!!!

I Experienced some terrible customer service here. Had to deal with the cashier’s terrible attitude. She is not polite in any kind of way. Just a blank stare on her face. People like her shouldn’t be working in the front. She should be in the back or something because she obviously lacks the ability to give decent customer service She didn’t wear a name tag.

The Arboretum McDonald’s blew me away when I stepped inside. There were lots of folks on laptops like at a coffeeshop. It was quiet. The people talking kept their voices down. The colors were soft and warm. The lights were unique and modern. There was a narrow, long high table with chairs. I loved the breakfast display across from the ordering counter. Other than the interior, it was a typical McDonald’s with the same menu and McCafe offerings. The service was friendly with smiling employees. There was a huge outdoor eating area. The only thing which kept me from staying longer was that it was a bit chilly. The Arboretum McDonald’s sits in the HEB shopping center, closest to the 183 frontage road.

This location has two lanes for drive-thru and they get you moving pretty quickly. They also have the speakers/mics figured out so they you don’t feel like they are too quiet or that they are yelling at you when you are ordering. They can also hear you very clearly. The employees are quite professional and friendly also. The inside is clean and their restrooms are always kept nice, too! The location is a bit hard to get in and out of at times because there is HEB right there are lots of traffic driving through here so be careful!

I decided to try McD for about the first time in fifteen years to see if anything has changed. I had a double cheeseburger with fries. Fries tasted good but they were a bit too oily for my taste. No change. Burger patties were tasteless and dry, sauce tasted like ketchup mixed with sugar, with nothing else between the bread but processed cheese and pickles. Hasn’t changed a bit except that the cheese doesn’t taste as good as it did fifteen years ago. And the cheese wasn’t exactly the high point of meal even then. Well, there is one change. It costs three times as much now.

Went in and get their drive through breakfast on Sunday two weeks in a row @530am, and they yet again have messed up the orders. Ordered sweeten vanilla iced coffee, here again with no sugar. Hash brown this time is better than the last. mcDonalds needs to keep their bar high even if they offer satisfaction guarantee. People in a rush wouldn’t have the extra time to turn around to get their orders corrected

Just got off work after an almost 11 hour shift and all I want is one cheeseburger. But no, I have to sit in the drive thru line for 10 minutes and counting(which is LONG for fast food especially at 3 am on a Wednesday). The most frustrating part is I can see the cashier laughing and having a whole conversation with the person at the window. I would have left but I’m blocked in and am now stuck here, possibly forever. I don’t know what is happening here but y’all slow.

I am appalled. We had trouble getting our order taken at the drive through and had to repeat ourselves about 30 times and we finally drive to the window and the young lady with braids was talking on her cell phone and did not stop the entire time we were there. I will be back to this location to make sure this matter was handled.

They got my order completely wrong so I called back up there and the manager Dominic was so sweet and told me to come back. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Thank you so much!!!

First off all I was at this location yesterday and ordered the Steak, Egg & Cheese McMuffin. They gave me an Egg McMuffin with added bacon.(The little screen at the drive through doesn’t work so you can’t view what the person taking your order is putting in) So today I thought, maybe they’re having trouble understanding what I’m ordering, I’ll order by number with a medium coffee. The person taking my order doesn’t know how to use full sentences or words like ‘good morning’, ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. The order screen still doesn’t work. I pull up to the window and sit behind another car for 10 minutes. They must have ordered a BIG breakfast! Oh wait, just a milkshake. Maybe they had to milk the cow first? As it is finally my turn I notice this must be an awesome place to work! They are having a blast in there. They are laughing and joking around with each other. Except … by now there is quite the line of cars behind me. Ah well, a fun work environment is important. Right? I see the girl standing and talking to her co worker for a couple of minutes with my order in her hand. When she finally hands it to me I get out of there as fast as I can. NEVER coming back to this location. As I arrive at work and open the bag I find a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. Idk why I was even surprised. Hey, at least they managed to get the medium coffee right. Hooray! Two stars because I got a hot coffee in the early morning and for the awesome work environment they have. How much fun can working at a fast food place be? Ask the employees at this location!

This location has repeatedly mess up my orders. This last time will be it, no more from this place. Too many opportunities give for improvement thrown out the window by their indifference. Goodbye, good luck, but we are done

I come here for an iced coffee treat and to watch CNN/take a break. Kudos to management for having rennovated the resturant so it does not look like a giant daycare center. It actually is comfortable to both order and sit and eat for adults You don’t have screaming kids running around the place when you are trying to eat something that you have paid for. Bravo.

I still eat at mcdonalds once in a while and I usually crave it after the gym, which is across the parking lot. I understand that places can have a bad day, but this was unacceptable. I went in there tonight at 5:00. It was not at all busy, but it was a disaster. The ketchup dispenser was broken, there was not a single even remotely clean table, and even the game machines on the walls for kids were out of order. My order took a long time. I walked by a few times and it wasn’t ready so I sat down to wait for my number to be called. It never was and I finally walked by again. My hot food was sitting on the counter getting cold. I assumed that they were waiting for the side salad. Except that when I walked up, they gave me the tray. They had completely forgotten about the salad. They didn’t have any salads left, so they told me they would bring it to me at my table. Of course, they never did. I finally had to walk up to the counter and it was sitting there. Meanwhile, only one other customer came into the store after me, so it’s hard to see why they were so disorganized. I’ve been to other mcdonalds locations in Austin. Some are really nice. This one should be burned to the ground. And they should start over with new management. I am aware that it’s possible that they get 90% of their business from the drive through, and they want this percentage to go even higher, so they don’t care about walk-in customers.

You ain’t about this life… Hahaha okay, jokes aside, here’s my 2 cents about McDonald’s. I will be the first to admit that I have an unhealthy addiction to diet coke, chicken McNuggets, and McDonald’s crack fries. As a consequence I have no shame in my game in admitting that even in my torrid love affair with«fancy» food I still find time to hit McDonald’s pretty often. This particular location has a 24 hour lobby. During the recent Austin Sleetpocalypse this still held true. I appreciate that every time I’ve dropped by this location they’ve made me fresh fries and fresh McNuggets. Plus given how much diet coke I drink, you really can’t beat a $ 1 large diet coke. My random life tidbit: I will only eat McNuggets with McDonald’s signature BBQ sauce. Why is this relevant? In both Canada and China they DON’T have said BBQ sauce. I usually order a Big Mac instead… I can’t be messing around with that other mess that I can’t identify. I like Poutines, just not the Canadian MCD version and I don’t even know what half the stuff on the menu in China is. A Big Mac is a safe familiar choice. Also the Chinese translation for«I’m lovin’ it» actually translates to «I just like it.» 我就喜欢!Oh Snap!

Okay, I’m not even gonna argue why McDonald’s exist, or why people eating there wind up in Hell, or why you should watch Mr Spurlock’s «Super Size Me.» I’m just saying I’m a fan of this particular McDonald’s at the Arboretum because: 1. You can actually go inside the place 24/7, instead of the usual drive-thru only service past midnight. 2. The WiFi always works. 3. They have two big screens showing CNN. 4. The place is clean, they make my stuff to order, and they take their coffee seriously . 5. I’ve never seen kids or transients at this particular McDonald’s. I should probably disclose when I’m here, it’s always past midnight. Incidentally, I don’t have anything against kids or transients, I just don’t see them at this particular McDonald’s. 6. At 4:00am, it’s fun to watch the entire menu board flip over to the breakfast menu. It always makes me think, «Wow, we’ve sent people to the moon.» I’m really not sure why I think this. 7. And finally, I’ve never been to this particular McDonald’s in daylight, although my HEB, dry cleaner, and froyo place are all in the same complex. If I’m downtown way past midnight, I usually wind up at Magnolia, 24 Diner, or Kerbey. But every so often, the Power of McNugget compels me, and I find myself in this particular McDonald’s at the Arboretum. It may be some odd phase of the moon. In any case, I’m pretty sure that makes me a fan. So have a nugget.

I know it’s McDonalds, but enough is enough. I was very busy due to it being the day before Thanksgiving. I ordered breakfast with decaf coffee. I got my breakfast and they forgot the cream and sugar. Had to go back. They had to get some from the back. Went back up and the cream and sugar had been there all the time. Took a drink and the coffee was room temp. Went back up(3rd time), told them the problem and they needed to bring the coffee to my table so I could finally eat. They didn’t bring it. Went back(4th time), got the coffee and it was burnt. So, I just left because you can’t discuss incompetence with incompetent people. THEYJUSTDON’T GETIT!

This is just an OK McDonalds, right by HEB and the 24 hour fitness gym that I go to. I often see the drive through PACKED(2 lane drive through BTW!) during lunch hours, guess people love their fast food! They recently got this credit card machine that you can swipe at instead of handing your card to the cashier to swipe, kinda confused, sometimes they ask you to do machine sometimes they just take the card from you. Finally, they do sometimes forget items, they asked me what kind of sauce for Chicken Nuggets I wanted and I told them, when I got my bag, no sauce. Cool, didn’t want ‘em anyways! It’s a McDonalds and it has Free-WiFi, but I don’t think I’d be here too long.

This is a hell of a McDonald’s. The interior has stool tables and couches and the drive-through is double-laned for the traffic towards downtown. You’d get off for Braker Lane and you can get back on 183 south just before Mopac.

Beware, the john is like a walk-in freezer. Holy crap. I like cold, but I have to hope the ladies’ isn’t so polar; not a place to get one’s ass out lightly. Also, no playscape. Once saw a small boy here running in circles, crying disconsolately«where can I play? where can I play?» Thought for him«it’s all downhill from here, man. McDonald’s could’ve abated the pain of existence slightly, for a time, but chose not to.» Low-carb breakfast of 3 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage patties, and large iced black coffee: $ 8.
