When I had tooth pain, I called Dr. Bell, recommended highly by a friend. Though I was new to him (a very popular dentist) he was kind enough to fit me in. Over many years I’ve had good dental treatment, But never anything like Dr. Bell’s professional, precise and expert care. He’s over the top! He spent long, quality time with me, so that the crown would securely protect my filling indefinately. Dr. Bell is uncommonly precise in his work. He takes his time to make sure that it’s just right. During my visit he worked with his assistant, Amanda. She’s an expert in her work as well and the two make a great team. I don’t write many recommendations, but in this case I do with enthusiasm!

Wow! The bar for dental care just got raised people! Without getting into the ins and outs of my dental problem I will just tell you they are exceptional. They took their time getting to know me and really assess the issue at hand. They patiently answered all of questions, showed me x-​rays and gave me their reasoning behind everything. While I’m sure not everyone has as many questions as I came at them with, I was super impressed by their professionalism. For those of you who have had less than par dental care in the past you probably understand where I’m coming from. For those of you who haven’t, GOOD NEWS you don’t have to! Don’t make my mistake, go to these guys the first time!

Dr. Bell and his entire team set the bar so incredibly high, I can’t imagine going to another DDS. They actually make coming to the dentist fun! They have state-​of-​the-​art technology, which helps patients clearly understand the recommended care plan. I trust his professional expertise, and truly value his chairside manner. He’s a real sweetheart and a gentleman.
…And, he throws a rockin’ first class patient appreciation event with local star, Bob Schneider – what dentist does that?! For real. As long as my family has teeth, (which is hopefully forever – thanks to MCB and co) we’ll be tending to them at Dr. Bell’s!

Everyone at the practice was helpful, prompt, and pleasant. Dr. Lossing in particular was professional and expert in her assessment of my dental history.
The staff treated me like I was a guest at their home and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.
If I could give 6 stars I would, nothing but great things to say about Dr. Bell and his team.

I met with Dr. Lossing to get a second opinion on dental work my prior dentist told me I needed. After a consultation and a follow-​up exam, she let me know that not everything recommended to me was necessary. She also informed me that there might be some bigger issues causing my tooth/​gum problems, and gave me information on possible treatments. I decided to get some really urgent issues taken care of same-​day (a crown and filling), and I can easily say it was the best dental experience I’ve had in over 15 years. I’ll go to Dr. Lossing from now on!
Dr. Lossing put me at ease even before we got started. When I mentioned I was a little cold, she got me a blanket. Her assistant offered me music, and between the tunes, the blanket, and the laughing gas (which comes at additional cost), I actually fell asleep during the procedure! I was THAT relaxed. By the time I woke up, they were just about done. Knowing my mouth my might a bit sore, Dr. Lossing sent me home with some extra-​strength ibuprofen, which really helped in my recovery.
And I don’t want to forget the staff! They were both helpful and friendly. Awesome service, all the way around!!!

After a recommendation from a friend and also a need to go to the dentist after some years, I made an appointment with Dr. Lawson. The initial appointment was very thorough and I didn’t necessarily feel any urgency with the questions and/​or procedures that were done. I saw Dr. Lossing who was very nice throughout the process. I do appreciate the how the staff made my experience welcoming and comfortable. The office was very neat and clean as well. I think I can safely say that I plan on staying with this office in the future.

My visit to Dr. Michael Bell was the most positive experience I’ve ever had at a dentist office. The waiting area feels more like a spa than a dentist office, and the staff is extremely accommodating. I like the fact that Dr. Bell had a personal consultation with me to get things started. He is easy to talk to and takes his time getting to know you and your dental history. They use the latest technology, and performed the most comprehensive evaluation I’ve ever had. You won’t find a more professional, caring dentist and staff. To top it all off, they gave me a free Sonicare toothbrush. Austin is lucky to have these folks!
One tip: get detailed driving directions before your first visit. Finding his office can be tricky for first-​timers.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Bell’s for longer than I’ve been married… over 20 years now! I really appreciate how he and his staff are always looking for new and better ways to care for their clients. It would be easy to settle into a groove, but they never do. I recommend Dr. Bell & his team whenever I get the chance. Great care, great attitudes. Doesn’t get better than that.

Dr. Bell has been my dentist for 20 years and I love him. And I love his dental hygienist Lou Ann. Great dentist who runs his office like a swiss watch.

I followed my favorite hygenist LouAnn here and my, was it a great move. The staff here are wonderful, helpful, friendly. Keep it up Dr. Bell. All is great at your office.

Dr. Bell and staff are always very professional, on time, courteous and experienced. I have been going to them for over 3 years, and have only really good experiences. They also do there best to send email and text reminders and accommodate any changes in my schedule.

Ok; this will be a very short review. I have been going to Dr. Bell for over thirty years, ever since he started as an associtate with Dr. Smith.
If Dr. Bell and his staff were not first rate would I stick with him? Nope. Will I continue with him? Yep!

— Technology is crazy, the panoramic chair thing was a trip
— Thank you for having the flat screens set up in front of my face showing species of the Great Reef — I especially enjoyed watching the Giant Clam ejaculate
— They messed up my appointment, but quickly fixed it by filling me in and presenting me with a Starbucks giftcard :)
— Dr. Bell and his staff are super nice and professional
— Building 11 is a little tricking to get to, but worth it!
— Was able to watch squirrels and pigeons share bird food outside of patient room window
— Thank you for turning on the massage chair, hence making my experience while you jabbed at my gums far more enjoyable!

I am sorry to report that I have seen a lot of dentists in my life, so I sadly have a large basis for comparison. I found Dr. Bell using «Best Dentists» and «Texas Super Doctors», both of which he has been on numerous times. After seeing him, I can see why. It is a professional and downright pleasant experience, but more than that is how much skill and effort he puts into his work. I presented a complicated case, and he took it to some colleagues for review, to his study group, and even to a conference to discuss it. That is how thorough he is. Moreover, he is conservative, and does the bare minimum to get a good result. I am not worried about over-​treatment, which is often a big issue, and is, frankly, why I am seeing him int he first place — mainly to fix what should not have been done in the first place.
He and his staff are wonderful, professional, pleasant, and friendly. And all are highly competent. I recommend them without reservation.

Dr. Bell has been my dentist for about eight years now. My first visit was the most comprehensive dental exam I’ve ever experienced, and resulted in a treatment plan including Invisalign and a root canal. I enjoyed the former much more than the latter, but I have to say that overall Dr. Bell and his team have made going to the dentist relatively painless.
I have always been very impressed by their early adoption of the latest technologies, and the quality of their diagnostic tools as well as treatment and service. I’ve recommended Dr. Bell to many people, and my friends who have gone to him also report good experiences. Dr. Bell has been named to many Best lists, including national lists where dentists are recommended by their peers. I feel very confident in recommending Dr. Bell and his friendly and capable team.

BEST DENTIST! I have had a lot of problems with my teeth in the past. I had braces as a young adult and a root canal. Dr Bell & his staff always make me feel very comfortable and confident. They always do a superior job on my teeth and I leave feeling great!

One of the worst dentists I’ve ever had. He was actually my dentist for about two years before I needed some real work on my teeth — I had some bonding done to the front teeth. He sounded like he knew what he was doing and seemed knowledgable about dentistry but when it comes to his quality of work, it is poor at best. First of all, the needle injections were excruciating. Most dentists would first allow the topical time to work before injecting. Not him. Most dentist shake your cheek to distract you from the pain. Not him. I actually teared up and was about to confess my involvement in the JFK assassination to make him stop. I mean it was so sloppy… somehow the anesthesia got into my nasal cavity and went down my thoat. I literally took a big gulp of anesthesia. That was a new experience.
As for the aesthetics, it left a lot to be desired. He left a huge V-​shaped gap in between my two front teeth. When I returned to have it redone, the result looked worst then the first time — the line separating the two fron teeth is very noticeably slanted/​crooked. And this isn’t to mention that the coloring of the bonding is completely different than the surrounding natural teeth.
I had four teeth done, and ultimately got a refund on one tooth due to a persistent pain that was not there prior to his work. I went back to him complaining about the pain in the tooth in question a week after the work was done. He told me to come back three weeks later. The pain persisted after the three weeks and so I went and got a second opinion from another dentist. And his conclusion was that it needed to be redone. I went back to Dr Bell and he adamently defended his work and told me to wait another three weeks. Anyway, I finally got a refund from him for that tooth after six weeks of pain. In short, there are better dentists out there.

I’ve been afraid of the dentist ever since I can remember. No matter what state I lived in, the experience was horrible and scary. It was so bad I hadn’t been to the dentist in 10 years. So when a friend recommended Dr. Bell, I was skeptical to say the least.
My review can be summed up briefly: Dr. Bell and his staff are hands down the best dental team in the country. They have changed the way I view the dentist.
I had a lengthy initial visit during which Dr. Bell listened closely to my fears and listened *non-​judgmentally* as I told him I hadn’t been in 10+ years. He didn’t make me feel bad like so many other dentists do. Instead, Dr. Bell and his staff worked patiently with me to work out a treatment plan and explained how we’d get me back on track.
A few weeks later I had a teeth cleaning. They explained at every step what they were doing and took the mystery out of the visit. Because I followed their initial instructions (irrigation, floss, special toothbrush), my cleaning was painless and dare I say it, a really good experience! After 10 years of no visits to have a positive one that put my teeth back in shape was simply amazing.
Dr. Bell uses all of the latest technology, which includes not only the dental gear, but the chair (massages) and entertainment system (DirecTV and satellite radio)! They even give your hands a special paraffin bath while they clean your teeth.
I have recommended them to all of my friends, many of whom are also afraid of the dentist. If that describes you, Dr. Bell and his team will change your opinion.
These folks are a model for the entire dental profession.
