So nice to find a comfortable place such as Miles End. John and Ann have created a wonderful home that they so graciously serve with their guests. Breakfast was super and the dinner John specially prepared for this vegetarian was delicious and clearly made with care. The town of Kingston and its surrounding was a fine refuge for city living. Great star gazing. Highly recommend this B&B as a hassle free beautiful place to stay.

John and Ann are the most wonderful hosts despite our sudden rude arrival at the last minute without reservations.(not recommended). They accomodated us with a smile and a rescheduling of their activities for the day. However they do usually expect reservations to be made due to the amazing extensive services that they provide such as a delicious breakfast and dinner(our choice of salmon, steak or chicken). The rooms are private cabins lined up in a triplex. We stayed in their Hacienda cabin/room and shared a lovely warm refreshing Jacuzzi bath before retiring for the night. Luxurious accomodations. Next time we will rent the cabin with the King bed. The lodge and kitchen are in a separate building right next door so you can rub shoulders with other guests and the hosts and then retire to your own beautifully decorated lovely private quarters with your own deluxe bathroom with kitchen, microwave and refrigerator. Hikers and nature lovers prepare for a treat. A small fish pond 600 feet away provides the perfect environment for young fishermen to catch their first fish(or feed the fish if you have a quarter for fish food). Deer and jack rabbits abounded in the lovely pristine environment immediately adjacent to desert on the East and forested mountains to the West. Welcome to the true West! The town“s sheriff even lives across the street. But everyone knows everyone else in this small town so you can even leave your doors unlocked if you wish and be perfectly safe.

My wife and I stayed for one night as a treat from the standard one night hotels during a 1 week road trip. This is in the middle of no where in a town of 80 people. The lodge is fantastic and the night stars are as well. John, the owner met us and was very casual and laid back. We had a smaller room that we would have liked because we had a small dog with us. We could have cooked our own dinner if we had wanted to bring it with us. We elected to have them prepare dinner for us and for $ 20 each and $ 15 for a bottle of wine, we has a nice steak dinner. I let them surprise us. In the morning, we had you basic bacon and eggs breakfast but I’m sure they could do whatever you wanted with advanced notice. There is not much to do right there except relax. We took a couple of walks, stopped in at the neighborhood tavern, the were on our way the next morning. If you are looking to decompress and explore the wilderness of central Nevada, you will love this place.

This place is a hidden Gem! The town of Kingston is small but the quality of service at the Miles End is not, from the minute you arrive you are treated like family. John and Ann provide excellent service, the rooms are immaculate and the linens smell so fresh. We checked in with a simple hello and we’re brought to our room, the«Panchot,» all I can say is Wow!!! The attention to detail and the absolute cozy ambiance is amazing. John got the wood burning hot tub going and told us it would be ready for us in a bit. Ann showed us around, there is a fishing pond within a few steps of the place. My son asked if «we could spend a second night» and we did. We BBQ’d the first night and then we spent hours gazing at billions of stars and watching meteors streaking across the kingston skies all while sitting in the warm hot tub. After the most peacefully night sleep, we had a great great breakfast prepared by our host Ann and then we went exploring. We returned later, freshened up and sat down for a delicious home cooked meal with John, Ann and some other guest. I will return and bring my girl next time, this place has romantic getting away written all over it!

What an amazing place! My two kids, husband and father all spent a few nights in their rock house and it was such a treat. Ann and Jon, the owners, are beyond hospitable and even cooked us dinner one night. The wood hot tub is not to be missed and both Spencer and Potts hot springs are close by. This is a wonderful rural Nevada getaway but with a touch of rustic luxury and style!

Because my dad has a place in Kingston I have never actually stayed the night here but last night we did one of their Thursday night Prix Fix Dinners and what a blast we had. This place is gorgeous, an old stone house with a rich history. The place and the grounds are gorgeous, classy, yet casual. Apparently they host and cater weddings there as well. They have a full bar, and a commercial kitchen where they put out a great meal for being out in the sticks. We had a nice clam chowder, double pork rack, Sonoma County vino which I am partial to, and delicious cheesecake. The place was full of locals who were having a great time. This little community is pretty sleepy, a lot of ranchers and hard working folks, it is so cool to see them all dressed up, furs and all, for this dinner. I hear his Friday Prime Rib meals are not to be missed. The service was great, a local gal named Suzanne who has catering experience from Vegas singlehandedly served 30 people like a rockstar. Then we all finished the night at Zach’s Lucky Spur.

This is the real deal, a lovely little B&B with nice, professional hosts. Traveling in rural Nevada, you’re never quite sure what to expect when someone offers a room and calls it a bed and breakfast. But this isn’t that. This is very nice, it shows real craftsmanship and pride of ownership, and the hosts are lovely people who are pleasant to be around. The rooms are decorated tastefully and breakfast was really good. The grounds and setting are quite lovely. The little«town» of Kingston is very nice, too. It has a good feel to it. There’s a nice little bar, Zach’s, with spectacular views and another place to get lunch or dinner. There’s also a little general store, though it has limited hours. I don’t think there’s a gas station in town, so fill up before you arrive. The drive up Kingston Canyon is beautiful. It has a small lake, a stream and alpine meadows. We were there in the spring and the wildflowers were incredible. What would give Miles End a fifth star? Oh, I don’t know. Maybe wifi. Otherwise our expectations were exceeded.
