Just finished a job with One Call and it was a great experience. Good workmanship, on time and very responsive. I’m in the trades so I know that this is not the norm.

Let me preface the review with this… I hate leaving negative reviews. I use Unilocal for many things and have never had any problems. I usually agree with the glowing reviews that are left for companies, restaurants, etc. I should have be more careful with a company that only had one review and it was 5 stars. Here is my experience with One Call Property Services: I called One Call Property Services to schedule an appointment to have my children’s rooms painted and had to leave 4 voicemails over the course of almost 2 weeks. On Jan. 11th I finally received a call from Cy(who I am assuming is the owner) and he left a message and I called him back 20 minutes later only to have to leave another message for him, which is his cell phone and not an office number. Many more messages later, I finally received a call back on Jan. 20th(9 days later). I spoke with Cy that time and he informed me that the only days he had available were Jan. 27th and Jan. 31st. I choose the 31st and he told me that I was scheduled for the 31st and the painters would be there that morning. He asked me to send a follow-up email to him with my address, which I did immediately after speaking with him and made sure to reference our conversation and our appointment date. The day before the schedule appointment, I hadn’t received a confirmation call for the appointment the next day so I called and left a message to confirm our appointment the next day(1⁄23). I never heard back from him. I wanted to make sure that we were ready for the painters since I assumed that they would be there the next morning. We removed everything from our children’s rooms, with the exception of the beds which we moved to the center of the rooms. If you have children, you will understand that removing everything from their rooms is very time consuming… many toys, books, stuffed animals, dressers etc. I also removed all of the faceplates from the outlets and light switches. We were ready to go the morning of the 31st. By 8:49 am I had not heard from Cy and no painters had showed up so I called and left a message. By 9:30 I still hadn’t heard back from Cy and still no painters. I called again and t\he answered this time. I told him who I was and wanted to know when his painters were going to be at the house. He said«you don’t have an appointment». I explained to him that we had spoken on the 20th and we had scheduled for the 31st and I had even called and left a message the day before to confirm our appointment. I reminded him about the email that I sent on the 20th confirming the date and our address. He said«well, I don’t remember talking to you and you aren’t on the schedule so I know that we never schedules you». He then said«I don’t know what to tell you. I can try to get someone out there but that probably isn’t going to happen». By this time my frustration kicked in and told him that I would give him an hour to get someone out to our home. I told him that I didn’t want to leave a negative review on sites like Unilocal and Angie’s List but I would if he didn’t get someone out here to do the work that he had scheduled. He was leaving me no choice. He then said«you can do whatever you want. I really don’t care if you leave a negative review». And then he hung up on me. You are probably reading this review thinking… this lady is crazy, why in the world would she put up with a company that can’t even return phone calls in the timely manner. I would say that you are absolutely correct and I will NEVER make this mistake again. Ever. I am leaving this review to tell you about my experience. If you chose to use One Call Property Services, please know what you are getting into. I can assure you that they will not live up to their name because you will definitely have to call more than once. If I had it all to do again, I would never have chosen this company.
