Great food! Got the Singaporean chicken, fried rice and the crab rangoons. Everything was delicious!

Needed a phở fix while visiting Austin. Chose this location because of the proximity to where I was at the time. I give this place 3 stars in general. There are a ton of phở places in Los Angeles where I’m from and to me, the food was average. I’m not sure how it compares with other places in Austin. The broth which is the most important to me was a little bland. And I’m not talking about seasoning, but the depth of flavor. Some of the best broths I’ve had are just really beefy. Also, the cha gio contained mostly vegetable. I’m used to them containing more meat(pork or shrimp). Service was super friendly and fast. The prices here are higher than in LA. A large bowl of combination phở would be about $ 8. Still, it wasn’t terrible and it satisfied my craving. Lastly, as tourist, I don’t know if they have a parking lot. I didn’t see it. I found a space on the street after circling the block a few times.

I’m still thinking about how bad this place was that I forgot I had written a review and came back and accidentally wrote a second one.

Good service during busy lunch time. However the phở wasn’t quite up to my Vietnamese mom’s homemade standards. The meat for Phở Tai was overcooked and wasn’t sliced thinly enough so it was very chewy. The broth was pretty good and the portion was good for the price. It’s okay for occasional cravings and convenience but go somewhere else if you want some good phở.

I would give this place 3.5 stars, because it isn’t the best phở I have had, but it’s still good enough when it comes to cost and convenience. Got their veggie phở. It was really good. Did not expect such a flavorful broth. It comes with tofu, mushrooms, broccoli and snap peas. Super fast service. Good value for your money, especially for students. I got a take-out and they gave me a bag full of sprouts as a side! The person at the register was nice and made small talk(Yes, getting good customer service is important to me). On a side note: Phở tastes better when you eat it at the restaurant. If you get it in ‘to-go’ containers(1 each for your broth, veggies, noodles and sprouts), eating it becomes a hassle!

This was my first time coming here and the very last. The meat was burned and really dry. I told them that and they told me that all the meat are like that. NEVER! Don’t come here! It would be better if you try to cook at home!

I was wandering around Austin and found this Phở restaurant. It’s one of the best Phở I’ve ever tried in the US.

This is the epitome of college food. Cheap and pretty effective phở. I come here occasionally and it is the most consistent place I have ever been too. They give you a ton of meat so it will fill up that little college stomach just right. Their fried egg rolls are pretty good snackage food. The thing I loved most was the vietnamese coffee. It was fun pouring it in yourself and it had one hell of a kick(I definitely recommend that).

I’ve been here several times but admittedly only order the seafood phở and sometimes, a fried spring roll. The broth is full of flavor and the veggies and basil taste fresh. Their food is consistent and service is always great. This is certainly not the best dining experience but for casual dining in a busy area, this place rocks!

I was looking for a quick bowl of phở before heading to the LBJ library on the UT campus. This place is pretty gross. My chicken phở had some nice slices of chicks breast, but then had grizzle and bizare chunks of meat that I swear were not chicken. The broth was decent and the portion was large. But that’s about all the positive I can say!

I was here earlier today with a buddy of mine, I would say I’m here about once every 2 – 3 months. Today we ordered lemon grass chicken with noodle, crab puffs, and two shrimp spring rolls. From my experiences their main entrees are all pretty good. But if they could work on few things this place could be so much better. Phở– good 7.5 out of 10 Spring rolls– flavorless 4 out of 10 Crab puffs — had better had worse 6 out of 10 Lemon grass — good 8 out of 10 This is place is also pretty cheap, quantity of the food decent, overall, good eat.

Delicious Phở! I never ceased to be amazed at all of the lovely accoutrements they include, even in a to-go order for Phở-Cha(vegetarian)! They were quick, the ingredients were fresh, and the pricing is pretty cheap! I’ll definitely return!

Came here tonight because Chipotle was closed, and my friend and I were starving, and it was 10:45pm. At first we were set on going to Coco’s but they sadly told us that the kitchen was closed. Thankfully Phở Thaison was open and right next door! My friend and I walked into the dark, relatively empty restaurant and were seated and given menus. I ordered a Sliced Pork rice plate and a shrimp spring roll, my friend ordered the sliced pork vermicelli bowl and a spring roll. Our food both came relatively quickly and I quickly scarfed down my food. The food is not overly salty or bland but overall very average. Pork is very tender but everything else was honestly so-so. Prices are not bad, the spring rolls are each $ 1, and the bowl and rice plates are each $ 7.50. For places on the Drag, Phở Thaison is an okay place to eat that doesn’t bust your wallet.

While I haven’t had the chance to try other phở in the campus area, I have tried many different restaurants in my hometown. This is definitely one of the best places I’ve ever eaten phở! All of the employees have my order memorized, the broth is excellent and flavorful, the food comes out very fast, and it’s cheap! Perfect for a college student.

I have been to Phở Thaison quite a few times since its convenient and close to UT campus, but I have never really had an enjoyable experience here. If your only options are on the Drag, this restaurant should be one of your last choices. The phở here is very mediocre. The broth lacks flavor and consistency. In addition, the meat is usually chewy and bland. The rice dishes with pork and chicken actually feel microwaved, and they are just extremely lackluster. The only bright side is the decent service here. I do not think I will be coming back again. If you are in the mood for Vietnamese food, restaurants such as Phở Saigon and Phở Dan are much better alternatives.

Good service, great prices, large portions, and they will get you in and out. When I walked in and sat down, I didn’t have to ask for water. Our server brought us all waters including one with a lid for my toddler. She also asked if we wanted an extra bowl so we could share our food with her. My daughter loved the phở(as seen in my picture). The spring rolls, egg rolls, seafood phở, and the lemongrass chicken were all yummy. My husband works nearby and comes on almost weekly basis for lunch.

Phở Thaison is really great for what it is, which is a place for college students and night owls to get pretty decent phở past 10:00 p.m. I love the fact that they have a vegetarian phở option and not just chicken broth disguised behind a mask of vegetables. Having said that, we ordered take-out and my girlfriend got the chicken phở. We came home to eat it and realized that neither broth was labeled. What?! Am I supposed to take a guess as to which has been soaking with chicken fat? After a trial and error tasting, however, the found vegetarian broth was really tasty. Really nicely flavored with a fresh and spicy taste, as any good phở should have. The edamame, however, was dry and flavorless, definitely past it’s prime. I’m sure I will return to Phở Thaison, but not before seeking out other options.

Perrfffffect place for recovery from a long weekend in Texas. Phở definitely hits that hangover upside its’ head and tells it to go home! Regular phở bowl is big enough to feed 2 people and broth is decent altho I wasn’t a huge fan of their tough meat. Skip the spring rolls(aka summer rolls for all the East coasters) as they were pretty bland. Other than that — Longhorns, Go phở it! Love it.
