POHC Solutions

I had so much trouble with this group. I had one inept person come to clean my house. She was there for 2 hours and the house was declared clean. The worked spend the entire time on their cellphones. At the risk of being accused of racist, I never had anyone that could speak clean English when at my house. Needless to say I finally discharged the company. Getting the key to my house back was another fiasco. It turns out that my key was mailed via Certified Mail, and the post office screwed that up. Suffice it to say I was so unimpressed.

I also bought one of their Deals from Angie’s list. I basically paid $ 76/​hour for the laziest and most passive aggressive cleaner’s ever. The house is barely spit clean and they spent about 6 hours when they were supposed to clean a 2600 square foot house from top to bottom… after construction. They use greasy cleaners and simply did not pay attention to detail. I told one of the workers she needed to clean the windows. To be fair, I was wrong and the deal I bought did not cover windows. Instead of telling me that, the worker told me she would clean the windows and then got in her car and quickly left.

We bought the «Deep Housecleaning» deal with POHC on Angie’s List a while ago, and finally decided to use it. I had a little bit of difficulty with communications at first, but once we got the appointment set up, everything ran incredibly smooth.
The cleaners actually arrived about an hour early — but they did give warning, calling my husband’s cell phone in advance. All the girls came in and we did a quick tour of the house before they got started. They did get started immediately, and systematically knocked out the second floor, then started on the first floor. In about the middle of the appointment, Norma, (the boss — who is extremely nice) came by to check on everything — offering explanations of their cleaning methods and taking me through the already cleaned parts of the house as well as parts that the girls were currently working on as she checked. She bid me goodbye, and left the girls to finish up the rest of the house. All in all, it took them about 3.5 hours to do the house.
The only thing I thought could have been done a little better were the hard wood floors on the first level. I noticed that the person who vacuumed seemed to miss some of the debris, and the person mopping had pushed some of that stuff around and it had been left. Norma had stated that if there was anything we felt wasn’t done up to par to give her a call and they would come back, but I felt it was fairly minor considering the great job they did. I was really pleased to see the cleanliness of my house, the tissue boxes were tidied into cute little bows, and all the bathroom towels were professionally folded into nice hanging arrangements. My oven and stove top were sparkling, my refrigerator shelves and drawers were cleaned, (yay!) and every other facet I checked had obviously not been overlooked.
So, I’m giving four stars — removing one star for the initial communication issues and the floors. My husband and I are contemplating having them come in and do an every once in a while deep clean — sometimes it’s nice to have that deep clean and not run yourself ragged doing it alone. POHC did a great job, and I would definitely be willing to welcome them in to my house again.

We’ve been using POHC Solutions for a while now, and they have consistently provided excellent service. Norma and her team are top-​notch. Our house is not only clean after they visit, it sparkles.
