Reflections Remodeling

Joy and her team did an amazing job on my bathroom remodel! Everyone was great to work with and knowledgeable. The estimate was spot on and they came in on budget. Each day the work area was cleaned up, leaving our home as neat as can be expected during a remodel. I will definitely be calling them again as we update our 1960’s built home.

I hesitated for awhile before writing this review, because Joy is very nice and really worked to correct some of the mistakes her team made. But, ultimately, when I wake up each morning and step into a cold puddle of yesterday’s water in my shower, I knew that I had to.
This was my first remodeling experience. I got a couple different companies to give me quotes for my bathroom remodel (I had saved up for a couple of years to have it done), and my initial quote from Reflections was great and thorough.
The problems started when the work began. There were a lot of communication issues. More than once, the workers wouldn’t show up, and I’d only find out by emailing that they were running late or not coming at all. I came home from work a few different times to find that something that was in the contract wasn’t done the way we initially agreed upon– like the shower head being much lower than expected, or all the tile being placed without the bench being installed. These things eventually got corrected, but ultimately, the whole project took 2 months longer than the original quote.
I think what finally convinced me to write this review, though, is the overall quality. The shower slope wasn’t applied correctly, so there is an area of the shower floor where water pools and stays. Joy came out to try to correct it once, but it wasn’t resolved, and the project had already stretched on so long past the original date that I couldn’t handle more work time at that point. Water also spills out from under the shower door because of the design, and some of the grout is already cracking. Not what you want to see after less than 6 months.
Overall I would say that my bathroom looks nice, but some of the quality issues and the overall experience makes me wish that I had gone with another company.

Joy and her team did an awesome job. Because of a leak in a bathroom, we needed a load of tiles (plus dry wall) ripped out and then replaced. Refections Modeling came in the same day we contacted them, and they were on-​time, friendly, professional and affordable. Long story short… we have new tiles and the leak is no more. Highly recommended. We plan on having them back at some stage to resurface our bath.

We were looking for a company to do some tile work in our bathroom. We called quite a few companies and most of them didn’t even bother to follow up with us. Those that did were prohibitively expensive.
Reflections Remodeling, on the other had, was a pleasure to work with. They gave us a quote in a timely manner and the pricing was very good.
They came when they said they were coming (always a good thing) and did an excellent job. As with most remodeling projects, there were little issues here and there related to the job being done (because of the work done by previous contractors/​builders). Joy Reflections handled all of these little hiccups in a very professional and timely manner.
I highly recommend the company.

Buyer beware! Lied to us numerous times about getting COA Permit. Game is that they took in paperwork but did not pay fee, so no temp or regular permit number is issued. Do no pay their «holding fee». A big ripoff. Caveat emptor!!!
In response to reply from Joy. We did NOT have any open permits on this house! We hired another company to remoldel shortly after our experience with Reflections and there were zero problems with getting permit and doing the job well. Job from start to finish took 6 weeks… amazing new company had no problems with permit.

Reflections Remodeling just completed our master bath remodel and I would recommend and use the team again. The quality of work is superior and they did not seem to cut corners. We were fairly specific about what we wanted and they were mindful to deliver and address questions or uncertainties upfront. They had alot of patience with us and worked to ensure we were happy with the design and final product.
Only 4 stars b/​c the project took over twice as long as originally quoted — some of the delays were outside of their control, but others seemed to be capacity issues. We were also always able to eventually get in touch with someone on questions/​emails, but sometimes the resopnses were slow. I have no experience with contractors aside from this remodel, so not sure if that is the norm. Overall positive experience and appreciated working with honest and good team of people.

Master Bathroom Remodel project — they were fantastic! I really liked how I received a calendar of events before the project began. I also like how they have great follow up AFTER they were done. Highly recommend them.
I’m updating this review to include the Media Room project that was just completed in September 2012. They had not done this kind of thing before, and they figured out how to install sound proof walls and flooring, and a really cool desk (the media room is disguised as a home office)! Joy and Charlie are wonderful people who know what they are doing and want to do it right.
