I love Dr. Shekarchi. He is kind and gentle and always concerned with my whole being, i. e, mind and body. He is thorough and reassuring when needed. I’m so glad I stumbled upon him years ago through ARC. His exam rooms are tiny but the waiting room on the 2^nd story of the ARC building is nice, open and airy which is good.
He is always timely when seeing me and he always seems to take his time with each appointment I’ve had. He also follows through and reaches out to communicate to me via email, which I appreciate when I have questions or concerns. He is a great doctor!

Dr. Shekarchi is professional, patient, thorough, kind and truly listens to his patients. He has been my primary care doctor for at least 5 years now, and he is knowledgeable in so many medical areas. I no longer need to see a separate allergist, which is great. Though he also won’t hesitate to provide a referral to a specialist when one is needed, which is also great. He will really spend time with you and talk through symptoms in detail, he takes time to review medical history during the visit, and he always asks about and takes into account the patient’s previous experiences with different medications, side effects, etc. before jumping to prescribe something. The only drawback is that sometimes it takes awhile to get an appointment because he has gotten very busy, and I have not particularly loved the other drs. I’ve ended up seeing when he’s unavailable for a sick visit. Luckily, that hasn’t happened often.

Awesome doctor ! 12 year patient ! I drive 20 miles to see him and I would walk to a visit if I had to. I echo every positive comment. Thank you for being my doctor !

This man is a «Doctor’s doctor». As a practitioner of «Internal Medicine», he has the ability to perform a lot of functions that a «Family Medicine» doctor may make referrals for. For instance, Dr. Shekarchi has acted as my gynecologist and has also addressed and prescribed medicine for my anxiety problems.
He is terribly professional, and never rushes. He’s NOT a therapist, but if I need to spend a few minutes venting about something that’s affecting my health, he will listen, and then offer advice.
I don’t know if he’s currently accepting new patients, but the current wait time was about 3 weeks out. If I have a cold, or need an allergy shot, I go to the general Austin Regional Clinic office and see whatever doctor is available. I reserve my appointments with Dr Shekarchi for my yearly physical, and any time I experience an irregular health issue that doesn’t subside after a few days.
I recommend him to all of my friends, but in general, I recommend doctors of Internal Medicine to everyone.

Dr. Azim Shikarchi is an amazing doctor. He is patient and mild mannered. he listens to all your issues and never interupts you. I was very pleased with him. you seldom see HEALERS nowadays. He certainly is a healer.

He really cares about his patients and it shows. He is very sweet, gentle and extremely attentive. Kinda like a good boyfriend except you only see him about once a year and he’s not really into holding hands.

Dr. Shekarchi is a great doctor. He is one of the smartest doctors I have ever seen. He is friendly and has great bedside manner.
