The two Stars are 1. The food is AMAZING. 2. The one time I called and explained what happen with my To-Go order they actually did an IOU. That brings me to this review. I live in Round Rock. We have gone out of our way to eat here because I’m from New Orleans and often crave a great Po-Boy…which they deliver on every time… when it’s served the way I like it. I don’t eat it dressed. I order it every time the same way… plain with REGULAR Mayo on the side. Out of 10 times I’ve been here… the order has been made correctly 3 times. After getting all the way back to Round Rock a couple of years ago… it was dressed. I called and they did the IOU for me. I actually didn’t go back in for a year. When we did… we utilized the IOU. Sure enough… they messed the order up… on the IOU! Seriously? We were there to eat. They dressed mine and didn’t dress my husband’s. Had to wait for them to remake them. I don’t care for lemon on my shrimp poboy so when I bit into it… I was really surprised. I told my husband… I don’t remember them doing that automatically… but it had been a year since we had been in. I shrugged it off… sucked it up and ate it… since they had already remade it. The next time we visited… I asked while ordering that I didn’t want lemon… and the guy looked at me confused… told him it had lemon on it and I don’t care for that. He tells me they don’t put lemon on it. So we were both puzzled and confused. It then occurred to him it must have been the mayo with the lemon zest added. So after figuring that out… I make sure they know when taking the order that I want plain mayo. They have dressed my sandwiches 3 more times… having to send it back. Over the last two weeks. my husband and I ate here and everything was perfect! I went 3 days later with my daughter. They put the lemon zest on it. Had to reorder while my daughter picked at her food because she felt terrible eating in front of me. I even told the guy that they didn’t need to drop more shrimp(I didn’t want to waste them nor did I want to keep my daughter waiting) he comes back after a bit and tells me it’s almost ready… they just dropped more shrimp anyways. My mom lives in Pflugerville. She really wanted one since I had been bragging on how yummy they are. I called the order in tonight… one jumbo… plain…mayo on the side. One large… plain mayo on the side. Checked to make sure mayo and sides were fine but unfortunately I didn’t unwrap the poboys! Uhhggg Delivered my mother’s to Pflugerville. Got back to Round Rock… opened it and low and behold its dressed!!! They were closed so I left a VM for somebody to contact me at their earliest convenience. I’m not sure where the breakdown is but this is ridiculously annoying. It’s so yummy… but. not sure it’s worth all this!

This place was awesome it’s a Cajun supermarket and a restaurant in one. They have a very wide selection of what look to be authentic Cajun meats and sauces. I love sodas and this place has Abita root beer which was a big plus. I ordered the Gator po boy and it was amazing. Id never had alligator before and I gotta say it was pretty spectacular. All in all I’ll be back to this place. I will say that there don’t seem to be many people working here which could mean a long wait. I know it only took us about 15 minutes to get our food which seemed like 5 with all of the stuff to check out in the store!

My wife and I absolutely love this place!!! The boudin balls are amazing. Our only complaint is you might or might not be able to find a table to eat at but I promise it is worth the risk.

The 620 location was recommended to me by a LA native so I had to try it out. I don’t know the name of the lady who runs the register, but she is always pleasant. So far I’ve had the gator po’boy, the gumbo, and jambalaya, all of which I did not regret. Those fries tho?! I dig their Cajun fries. The shop also doubles as a market, so if you’re looking for Cajun ingredients, this a great spot for it. OK, I was tripping, had some more dishes, let’s upgrade this from 4 to 5!

Came here after ziplining and it hit the spot! This place looks kind of shady from the outside but Unilocal reviews lead me here and I was satisfied. The boudin balls were so freaking delicious and the combo fried gator, shrimp, and oyster basket was very filling for lunch. Also, I loved the homemade hush puppies a lot! The Cajun food here is delicious, the service and people are great, and it’s clean on the inside.

Legit shrimp poboy, the bread is what makes a good poboy and theirs is perfect, add fresh ingredients boom I feel like I’m down da bayou

We had the Jambalaya, Gumbo, red beans and rice, muffuletta and some sort of fried chicken strips thing. Frankly, all were awesome. The seasoned fries are exceptional. I think the red beans and rice were everyones favorite(four of us) but everything is good. Will be back.

What happened to the size of the po-boys? And the amount of fries you get? Compared to the time I have been here before they have all shrunk. Quality is still good and tasty. But a hand full of fries and a smaller size sandwich don’t make it worth the $ 10

Oh man, did we ever gorge ourselves here. We got Crawfish Étouffée, Boudin Balls, Gator Po-boy, fries, and potato salad. Everything was amazing! I can’t even pinpoint a standout because it was all great, even the fries were the beer battered type I like! There is not much seating, but they can do carryout. And the market has some frozen/fridge products if you want to make it at home! Can’t wait to go back!

Hello amazing! From specialties to normalties this is a great spot to grab a bite! Not only is it fresh and served hot, but it’s quick too! I ate lunch and then bought some stuffed pork chops and sausage to take home, and they were amazing for dinner! I will be returning! Awesome customer service and authentic Cajun food all in one, you can’t go wrong!

I stopped in due to my brothers insistence that their andouille was the real deal. I was making jambalaya out of homeade stock, chicken meat I’d frozen and my last ingredient was the andouille. Good chunks of pork, not just sausage.andouille. The seasonings were just right and while not the best I’ve ever had, it’s the best I’ve had in the Austin area. Browned it worked great in my jambalaya and this will be my source from now on. The staff was friendly, answered any questions I had and their food selection seemed right on the spot. Loved seeing some La natives cook up the food they love.

Tried the shrimp po boy and it tasted really fresh and the bread was great. Fries that came with it was meh, but the remoulade and the the lemon aioli mayo that came with the po boy were both really good. We also tried the muffuletta and it was very tasty. A little too much of that olive tapenade on there for me but I’m not much of an olive fan to begin with. We also tried a ½ pint of red beans and rice but I was already way too full to eat more than 2 bites of it. It’s a very cool little market. Next time I come I’ll have to buy some of the bacon wrapped meat they were selling in the display cases!

This place was great, the crawfish étouffée(available Wednesdays only I think) was great and between it and the jambalaya I could swear I was eating in New Orleans. I can’t remember which, but one of these dishes came with fries too. The staff working there were really nice too and they have a good amount of stuff to choose from. Why only 3 stars and not more? After an order of crawfish étouffée, jambalaya, and fries, I was still hungry afterwards. I would still return, I just may not come when I’m very hungry.

The po boy is delicious, although a bit pricy for what it is, and the price difference between the sizes(2 inch difference between them, 4/6/8″) is rather large. It’s made fresh though, which is awesome — I had it with shrimp and you could definitely tell. It comes with a side of fries, although there’s not that much there either(there’s enough, but I expected more, especially considering the size of the box and sandwich). Since it was made fresh, the wait was a bit long, but definitely worth it. I’d like to come back in the future and try some gator!

Amazing to go to a place that feels like home! The food is delicious and the service is excellent! Thomas is very hospitable as is the rest of the crew here! They really know their stuff. Thomas told me how cracklins are made. They are delish! When I asked for tomato based jambalaya he said they make the cajun style and then informed me of the difference between creole and cajun. Even being from New Orleans i thoroughly appreciated that. My faves are: the cheesy boudin, muffaletta salad, boiled crawfish(amazing and pretty large!), not to mention jambalaya. And I cant finally indulge in my Delaware punch. The only minus… prices on groceries but that wont deter me… considering they come from Louisiana.

I ate here for the second time tonight and was blown away. First thing I have to mention is that when we walked in, Steve was incredibly friendly and very helpful! My fiancé and I both had the shrimp basket and everything was awesome! We also had the gator bites as an appetizer, which were incredible! The whole staff checked on us to make sure the food and service were good. Everyone was very nice and made us feel welcome. We’ll be going back very soon!

I wanted to give 4 stars, because the food tastes great, but I’ve ran into inconsistencies. The first time I ordered an alligator Po’ Boy, it was delicious. The bread was great, the temperature was, the flavor was tasty. There was an ample amount of alligator. I also had the shrimp etouffe which was delicious as well. I was hooked. I can back another time and got half alligator and catfish. This was a to go order which I didn’t check thoroughly before I left. When I got home my order had shrimp instead of catfish and 3 alligator bites ONLY! The fries were great as usual, well season, but I wasn’t satisfied because my order was severely messed up. I will give them a shot, because the food I’ve had here has been good, such as the boudin sausage, shrimp etouffe and alligator Po’ Boy. The service is also friendly.

First off, I must admit I haven’t had a sit down meal from here. That being said, I’ve bought a lot of food from here and it had me a hootin’ and hollerin’ in joy! Their food is excellent and could fool any cajun, I love their fried alligator, boudin and their bacon wrapped tenderloins(jalepenos)! Everything else I have had was on point too and good prices. Man oh man, I think I just made myself hungry…

Always drove past this place and assumed it was a market. Decided to stop in and pick up something and realized they had sammiches and other awesomeness. Ordered a shrimp po boy and got some other stuff as well. Service was great and they explained it all and what the place was about. Food was excellent and southern fried. They have everything and more that I could ever want in a market/casual restaurant. Will be coming back to try other stuff and buy other seasonings for cooking :)
