U-Haul Moving & Storage at Burnet Rd & FM 2222

I went to this location recently to inquire on what type of moving services they offer their customers. They appear to carry just about any type of box that you might need for a move, I liked seeing that they even carried boxes that would protect your tv. Matthew, the manager on-​site was very professional and courteous. I highly recommend this location.

I needed a hitch for my bikes and the bike website recommended uhaul. I was emailed back immediately with an accurate price (website makes it very clear too) but there would be an 11 day wait to avoid extra fees. The hitch came in in 4 days and they put it on at the fee I paid. I needed a bike rack and mentioned it and Orlando said they had one right there they could put on at a good price. Great service here!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
Alright, so my fiancé and I just moved into our new house (which is just around the corner). We needed to rent an appliance dolly to move our new refrigerator.
Since we still have out-​of-​state drivers licenses, they *required* three phone numbers. Three? Who the hell as three phone numbers? Thankfully, we had a friend with us who plopped down his number.
Now, I completely understand that this is a corporate mandate and that this store doesn’t set the policy. Whenever I come across a nonsensical policy, I make it a habit to contact the people who have the power to change it.
Unfortunately, the small-​minded individual managing this location thought I was out to get him.
After going through the entire ordering process, for some reason, the credit card terminal errored-​out and we had to begin entire transaction all over again.
So we go through the whole process of giving out our phone numbers, address, names of our future children, and the color of our favorite planet… only to have Mr. Derp all-​of-​the-​sudden decide he «didn’t want to rent to us.»
His loss. Home Depot has a better selection and friendly staff.
I’ll never go to any U-​Haul location for any type of service ever again. From this day forth, I will go out of my way to make sure another business gets my money.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE: THIS LOCATION VINDICTIVELY AND ABUSIVELY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR ARBITRARY FEES. MY CREDIT CARD WAS NEVER AUTHORIZED FOR USE.
I never submitted my credit card for purchase at this location– I paid my balance IN CASH for a Uhaul Rental on 08/​03/​2009.
WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, Manager Matthew Bice found my credit card number by searching a cancelled transaction, and used it to assess fees associated with my rental.
After I paid my balance in full, WITH CASH, for truck rental, the manager claimed I was being assessed a selection of fees, which he was not able to print record of or have me sign. I disputed the fees, and gave my home address to have a printed copy sent to my home for my review. The manager sent a bill to my address, then billed my credit card with the charges, UNAUTHORIZED, with an additional $ 30.00 late fee which was never mentioned.
PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION. I HAVE DISPUTED THE CHARGES AND THIS LOCATION IS UNDER INVESTIGATION WITH MY BANK. I HAVE ALSO REPORTED THIS BUSINESS TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
