World On A String

I was visiting a friend in Austin, and she took me to South Congress to see the shops. We happened to walk by Sarah’s booth, and I instantly knew that it was what I had been looking for! I’m getting married in a year, and I’m stopping my search now for wedding jewelry, and I’m giving my fiancée the website as a hint for future gifts!

Sarah makes gift-​giving so easy. Her jewelry and knit creations make beautiful (and affordable) gifts. I’ve been wearing a scarf she made for three winters in a row. And her lovely jewelry featured prominently in our wedding when she custom-​made the perfect mother-​of-​the-​bride gift and mother-​of-​the-​groom gift.

Sarah Stollak’s work is inimitable! The way she threads is instantly recognizable; I’ve never seen anything like it — it’s meticulously HER ART!

Sarah is just an absolute doll, and her work is unique, gorgeous, and extremely versatile. She was always my first stop on Saturday Market and First Thursday. Have several of her pieces and have given many as gifts. Sarah is great about having random sales and for the pearls and stones as well as the handiwork, the price is very reasonable.
Go for the crafts, and go for the lady! She never failed to brighten my day, and is one of the things I miss most about Austin.

Sarah’s crocheted jewelery is beautiful, unique and classy. I first bought one of her necklaces for my mom’s birthday, but some of the other beautiful necklaces I had seen at her booth on South Congress stayed on my mind. I decided to contact her by e-​mail to see about having her make a custom order to use as my bridesmaid gift for my upcoming wedding. I had some ideas based on one of the necklaces I had seen, and she was very receptive, even making a few different samples for me to check out and e-​mailing me photos of them in advance of when I went to see them. I picked out the style that I wanted, and since we were buying several, she offered us a great price. Within a few weeks she had them ready for me to pick up, and they were really gorgeous. She even went the extra mile of providing a variety of gift boxes for me to choose from when I picked them up. Sarah was professional and accommodating as we communicated by e-​mail throughout the whole process. It was pleasant and stress-​free (which is exactly what a bride-​to-​be needs)!
