Avila Beach Spa Retreat

A smaller more intimate venue, this is a great spot for a couples massage. The outdoor deck/​patio is a cozy spot to enjoy the ocean-​view sunset over some champagne and strawberries after a massage. The massages were great, three to choose from and well priced. This is not your mega resort with complimentary robes, saunas, and hot tubs. This is a smaller spot located right on the water in downtown Avila Beach. I enjoyed it.

This place is so great! I booked a massage for my boyfriend and myself and kept it a secret. I paid for couples massage for 160 plus an extra 40 to get a romantic package on their balcony with strawberries and champagne, candles and blankets over looking the ocean at sunset. We had spent the day wine tasting and ran a little late on time. So i called them a few hours before our scheduled appointment and was able to push it back an extra hour without any problems. They were so flexible and kind and made it very relaxing. Only recommendation I have is to spend the extra money to get a slightly deeper massage. Would go back again!

My girlfriends and I make sure we set up time at this spa every time we are in town. WE LOVE IT! Nancy and her team are very professional and sweet. Their services are fantastic and we always have a wonderful and relaxing time there. Totally worth it!!!

We loved it so much we stayed longer for more treatments! Our group of six had a great morning spending four hours in this relaxing spa with an amazing view. Highly recommend this spa with kind and friendly staff.

Will never go here again!!! The view was beautiful from the outside patio, but you really couldn’t see it unless you were standing. Pedicures are done on the patio on a bowl… Not so good. Smudged one of my nails & she didn’t even repaint it. Wayyy over pried! The food tray was definitely not worth it! The fruit was good. but the tray was just fruit, cheese, crackers & champagne. $ 100 is crazyy for that! And if you go in a group you can hear everything while getting your massage. Tip was included cause we were a group… Ridiculous!

My lady and I came to Avila Beach for a nice weekend away this New Year. We decided on a spa day to relax and recuperate after a long day of wine tasting the day before. I received a magnificent hour-​long massage from Glenna, while she enjoyed a facial from the other young lady on duty (this was New Year’s Day, so I’m surprised anyone was there in the first place!)

Alison is amazing. I went to her with a full fledged, migraine-​like tension headache, and within 10 minutes, she had worked the tightness completely out of my neck and shoulders and brought me into a state of total relaxation! I try to get as many massages as I can (because of the tension headaches), and my sister is a massage therapist, so I know when I have found someone who really has the healing touch, and a passion and understanding for this specific healing modality. Alison definitely has it! Not to mention, she even told me about this tool called a TheraCane, which I could buy at Relax the Back, so that I could work some of the knots out myself at home when I can’t get in for a massage. It’s clear that she really takes her job seriously and wants to help her clients stay healthy! I just wish I didn’t live in LA, so that Alison could be my weekly go to girl, but alas, I will just have to see her on my rare central coast vacations. If you’re on vacation and in need of a great massage, or if you live in SLO or Avila Beach, I highly recommend booking an appointment with her.

One word describes this place, AMAZING!!! My wife and I both spent the day in Avila beach and decided to pamper ourselves. Found this place on the main street (front street) overlooking the beautiful beach front! We had Allison and Kelly give us one hour couples massage which was reasonably priced! They were amazing!!! We were lucky to get in on such short notice and I’m glad they got us in and gave us such an amazing massage!!! We both passed out which means they were doing their job to make us relaxed:) If your in Avila beach and want the massage experience you deserve go here!!! You will not regret it!!! The place is very nice and clean, almost that feeling your at home.

Went for birthday spa day. Was told we would get group rate an didn’t happen; was charged full price! Secondly, could not bring own food and snacks; however she provides a food tray and two bottles of champagne for $ 100, so we ordered and couldn’t believe what was provided…2 bunches of grapes, crackers that looked as if they were left over from someone’s pantry, cheese pieces size of pencil erased and $ 8 bottles of champagne… rip off! Services were okay. I will never go back’

I can’t speak highly enough of Nancy and her superb retreat! I spent a few hours in her care and came away a reFRESHed and reNEWed woman! Her thoughtfulness and attention to detail made my experience optimal… and I’ve traveled a fair bit! the body scrub and massage were heavenly, and two showers! wow… and then two fabulous recommendations: dining and stay! We had such a lovely experience here– came for our 2^nd wedding anniversary on our way up to Cambria, and were running late, but Nancy was so accommodating and made us feel relaxed as soon as we arrived. Beautiful view from the waiting area of the ocean, and the massages were fabulous! My husband and I both almost fell asleep. They were responsive to problem areas on our massages, and put these awesome hot pads on our backs. Definitely going to make it a yearly tradition on our anniversary trips up north.
