I have lived in the Vail for a few years & had the opportunity to dine at Zach’s recently! I have to say it is probably one of the best meals I have had in the state! Such an amazing experience!

This was a lovely experience. Our server was very helpful – she gave solid and confident recommendations that we enjoyed. She even offered to go outside to take our picture in the best spot despite the fact that it was twenty degrees outside. The foie gras was amazing– as was everything else.

5 star all the way! What a spectacular experience we had! They took us up on a cat track where we got to see quite a few stars. They greeted us and took our coats. We literally felt like we were guests at the cabin. Our waiter Scotty was so great… truly went above and beyond! He recommended the perfect wine for our meal in the price range we asked. He made me feel special since it was my birthday we were celebrating. The foie grais was superb… I don’t usually like it but it was prepared spectacularly! I also had the lamb chops which was fabulous… it was quite filling so I couldn’t finish it but I’m sure it will be just as good when I reheat it in the oven. I can’t wait to go up there again! Thank you for making my birthday feel extra special!

The food was very delicious and the cabin is beautiful and the staff made sure we were comfortable and cozy. The sleigh ride was unpleasantly cold and uncomfortable. It’s a pricey place, understandably. My main complaint is in the lack of transparency in pricing. It didn’t stop us from eating there and paying the bill, but it helps keep people from feeling taken advantage of. –elk tenderloin $ 56(on the menu) –duck pappardelle $ 37(on the menu) –2 kid’s meals at $ 25 each(a buffet with chicken, mac-n-cheese, and caesar’s salad plus a dessert of cookies and ice cream) –2 bottles of carbonated water(voss brand at $ 10 each) –4 sleigh rides at $ 5 each –hot mulled wine at $ 12 total with tax and 18% tip $ 236

We have been coming to Beaver Creek every year for the past 6 years and Zach’s is always on our list. Highly recommend the elk tenderloin and the elk carpaccio. Yes, the ride up the snow cat to dinner is fun, but the real treat is the service and the food. Love it.

Our meal was one of the best experiences we have ever had. The ride up was undoubtedly a little cold but beautiful and not unbearable given the jackets provided. Upon arrival, the slippers– WOW! What a great, fun idea– were a nice greeting. We were seated at one of the best tables– next to the fireplace. The food selections were great. For appetizer– foie gras was wonderful– as was the sashimi trio. Both were excellent, and Kenny’s(the Som) recommendation of the traditional wine paring– OMG! For dinner, our family tasted a little of everything. The halibut received the highest(unanimously) rating at our table, followed by the perfectly cooked scallops, and the Elk. All were wonderful. The wine list here is amazing and so is Kenny. He helped us choose the perfect wine to go w/our dinner after discussing our preferred tastes– a Barolo. If you know and love truly good wine, you will appreciate the selection. If you want one of the best dining experiences you are likely to ever have– a truly memorable experience– go to Zach’s. Our family will never forget it. I wish we could make it back next year but the darn resort is already sold out! Our best hope is now New Year’s 2018!

Unbelievable! A sleigh ride to the restaurant and awesome food and service. We are on a property in the area, and we were lucky enough to get out early this year for some time on the slopes before the crowds emerge. If you’re visiting vail or Beaver Creek this is a must on your dining list. The elk is incredible. The ambience is perfect, so don’t miss an opportunity to visit this great restaurant.

Came here for dinner over Christmas break after a long day of skiing. The food was incredible, the service was wonderful, and the fur-lined crocs you receive upon entering were amazing. We ordered the foie gras with pb & j(sounds weird but was reaaally good), the famous elk, steak, butternut squash soup, chocolate lava cake, and way too much wine. Everything was delicious.(Apologies for the photos — it was very dark in the restaurant) We sat right by the fire and were super cozy after the freezing(but awesome) sleigh ride up the mountain to the restaurant. Extremely pricey meal, but would love to be back again.

What a perfect experience! You ride a beautiful massive sleigh all the way up the steep slopes and get to see more stars than I knew existed before arriving at the most picturesque cabin with the most delicious food. The cabin is at the top of one of the slopes so you either have to ski in ski out or take the sleigh ride after the lifts close. There is a huge coat room to store your skis and snow boots and change into their warm fuzzy slippers while eating. The elk tenderloin was to die for, the rack of lamb was massive and delectable, and the lobster was the best anyone had ever had. Dessert was very yummy too! We had smores pie and white chocolate praline bread pudding. The staff is very attentive and the atmosphere is perfect! Prepare yourself for a very large bill but an experience of a lifetime!

Atmosphere was great. Service was good and the manager came by several times to check. Try the dumplings for the appetizer and the lobster for the main course. Pricey on the Cabernets so we settled on the Pinot. The Bloody Marty was awesome during the cocktail phase of the evening.

Great food, great service. Small cozy atmosphere. Sleigh ride was quick, 10 minutes tops. Beautiful night views of Beaver Creek, and about a zillion stars to gaze at!

For a destination restaurant this place is fantastic. Elk tenderloin is nails. Great service, beaut setting and a strong wine list. Missing the last star due to a limited menu but the location makes up for it.

The ride is storybook. Be sure to sit with your back to the snowcat driving up and on the back row on the return trip. Everything is good. The scallops and trout are great! One if the truly romantic mountain dining experiences you do not wNt to miss!

BEAUTIFULVIEW! It was chilly outside, but it’s definitely worth stepping out onto the deck for a few minutes to get some pictures at dusk. And the food is delicious. Can’t wait to go back. Taking a snowcat up there was fun and made dinner into more of a fun event than usual!

This place is awesome. Great for lunch on the mountain. Ski right in, take off your boots, enjoy the fire and eat delicious food — doesn’t get much better than that. This is also a good spot to come in for a quick drink or just to warm up. You can ski in, take the snow cat, or snowshoe in. Members only(also open to Ritz Carlton guests now) and I would recommend a reservation for dinner and usually for lunch. But I don’t have a problem when stopping in midday usually. I definitely recommend!

Awesome«sleigh» ride up the mountain. It is a snow cat pulling a sleigh. I know a couple of other guests thought is was horse drawn, which you probably would think, however, once you make the trip you will realize a horse or horses could not pull a sleigh of people up the mountain! The ride back is kinda scary if you have motion anxiety like I do but I sat with my back to the bottom and it was okay! Now, for the food. Y-U-M-M-Y! My girls had the lobster(and it is pricey so I was hoping they would eat it all) and they Loved it! I had the beet salad and soup and it was also really good! The Cabin itself is so amazing. We were seated right next to the fireplace which is a great spot. This place is definitely worth trying when in Beaver Creek/Vail but I am not sure I would make it a habitual thing. It is a great experience and really good food.

This could be one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The sleigh ride up to the gorgeous, cozy cabin was fun and beautiful, and the guide was fun and informative. The lobster was simply divine,(melted in my mouth). The Foie Gras was the best presentation I have ever had! The service was 5 star for sure, and the ambience of the cabin was 5 star with amazing views. Will make sure we go to Zach’s every trip to Vail, and I prefer it over Beano’s cabin in everyway! Thanks for the memory!

First of all you have to take a ride up the hill to get to this place dragged behind a snowcat spewing fumes from the diesel engine. Try to look at the stars on this ride(if you aren’t sick from the fumes) because they are spectacular. The food was OK. I have had much better, especially for the price. I ordered a bottle of wine that I know retails for $ 30 in the store and paid $ 86! I know this is Beaver Creek and all but come on, 3X retail! I don’t mind 2X, and expect it, but not 3 X. Anyway, I would not recommend this place.
