All American Dogs

So I am fully prepared for my review to be placed under not recommended. The ONLY reason I gave this place a one star is because of the difficulty of finding Chris and his cart.
I have not tried the food because I can not find him. I have tried on multiple to find him and nothing and I don’t think he is in business anymore to be honest.
The first time was able about 6 or 7 months ago, I wanted a hot dog late at night, so I went to The Bull Shed to find him, just like his website and Unilocal said and nothing. Maybe he was inside and I didn’t want to get out of my car to look inside so I left. I was mad but I figured next time.
A month ago, I tried calling before leaving to go look for him and no one answered. So I didn’t go looking.
Lastly, today was the last straw that broke the camel’s back as they say. I was in the SW area around lunch time and I decided to give him one more try. I started by trying the website but it isn’t functioning right now. Maybe he forgot to renew his domain? Maybe he didn’t see more use in it and figured going all social media and Unilocal!instead? So I went to the business section and saw that he would be at Fast Undercar. So I drive twice at 12pm and nothing! I look for him on Facebook and he hasn’t posted since October.
A business should not be this hard to find. Until someone can confirm that he is selling and has a reliable schedule that can be looked up, I will have to give a one star.

He used to stop by outside of Mor Furniture on the weekends. I’ve tried different dogs and by far my favorite was the Spicy Reuben. Absolutely delicious!!! I honestly feel for the quality of the dog, the $ 6 spent are definitely worth it. I wish he would stop by again soon! Thank you

Had a great visit, the rueben dog was fantastic, especially with the horseradish sauce. Made a special trip across town just to try the dogs. Do yourself a favor and stop in and get one. They’re big dogs, especially the slightly hot link that was in the reuben, and should definitely cover your lunchtime cravings. Chris was great to visit with and was happy to share information about the business.

Had Chris cater a lunch today for twenty of my associates. I must say what a great experience! Chris was punctual, professional and the quality of product was bar none. Several of the guys had «Three dogs» WOW! We tried every combo on the menu and they loved them ALL. The price was more than fair and everyone really appreciated doing something out of the norm like a taco truck or deep pit and beans lunch. To top it all off Chris is a Veteran and loves this great country as I and my associates do!

Yummy! Best hot dog I’ve had. took our 2 year old she loved it also hubby loved it too so it was a nice family affair cool it being a on a little cart we ate on the car daughter loved eating out like that fun and different wOuld come back always

Over priced hotdogs, nothing special just Hebrew national dog with regular bun.
Paid $ 6 for a chili dog that didn’t have real chili, no beans and meat in the chili. The $ 6 hotdog didn’t even include a drink or chips.

If a hot dog is what you crave, you have to try an All American dog. Chris, the owner, has clearly spent a lot of time creating a unique menu with high quality ingredients. I had the Firecracker dog — a spicy hot link smothered with pepper jack cheese, Sriracha, jalapeños and Pico de Gallo — it was amazing! Cannot wait to try the other yummy creations they have dreamed up.

Best hotdog in Bakersfield! Really east coast style, premium sausages, not too salty, not too greasy, feels «healthy» and TASTY!
Last time went and had d-​day and American BBQ. Will come back to try the others!

Oh my gosh! Finally a great hot dog place in Bakersfield! I was excited to try to food because I love a good quality hot dog, but they are impossible to find in this town. But I never expected the variety of the menu! I couldn’t decide which to try first so I got a pizza dog and a BBQ dog and shared them with my daughter. They were AMAZING! I can’t wait to try everything else (except maybe the firecracker dog which sounds really spicy :). But I will be back — again and again!!!

I had the Firecracker dog today. It was delicious! I was pleased to find out that the owner accepts credit cards as well because I usually do not carry cash.

Had the All American Pizza Dog, very tasty! Will be back again to try other dogs! All American Dog is just what Bakersfield needs. Go try these dogs and support local business!
