The food is great! Wouldnt change a thing about the tacos. But they clearly dont care about customer service. I got here at 5 when they say they open, the tables are out but the sign says closed still. By their hours posted everywhere it says they open at 5. I’ve currently been waiting for 15 minutes! I can take my money elsewhere! No worries, guys!

I am sure I am not the only one who likes Dave taco. Great tasting taco with great prices. One can eat at least 5 or more tacos without problem. Outside sitting is old fashioned but in winter it is great and not so comfortable in our hot summer days. Service is fast and food is tasty so go there to eat tacos no matter winter and summer and support local business :).

Horrible customer service, they make you feel like your bothering them. Subpar tacos, location is a bit sketchy. Porta-​potty near by provided by Daves, just be prepared to share it with bums. Sauce is weak with no flavor. If your looking for great tacos, cross over to the west side of Chester to Claudias Catering truck (always there around 7:30ish & 12:30ish)

Leftover meat flavored tacos. Is exactly what the meat tasted like, honesty. I called in advance the tacos were ready in less than a minute. The man at the window could care less about customer service.
The cold lemonade was the only thing appealing, on a hot day.

Street Tacos are my favorite thing ever so I’ve had them from a million places.
These ones were good. I’d go back to have more but I also don’t think they were the best tacos in the history of tacos!
Also… why in the world don’t they have more meat options? A legit taco has Al Pastor!

Tacos are pretty good the beef taco had a little sweet taste but tasty. The customer service could be a little better. She could have been a little more welcoming.
After the little Itty bitty tacos were ready she slid them to me and closed the window and didnt look up at all.
I knocked on the window a little bit because she didn’t give me not one napkins, no peppers and condiments. Geesh, I guess we’re confident in our seasoning

I don’t know if the Asian man behind the counter is the manager, but if he is he should learn how to greet his customers. The food was ok, only because we were hungry and had no where else to go. I will not return to this place, nor recommend to friends/​family.

I don’t go to Dave’s for their cool ambiance, great customer service, discount prices, or vast menu selection. I go there because they consistently deliver a truly unique and excellent product that cannot be found anywhere else. The tacos are simply amazing.
If your expectations include fancy things like silverware and indoor restrooms, go somewhere else. If your’re just looking for a delicious plate of tacos, Dave’s will never disappoint!

I love tacos and I have eaten tacos all over. Dave’s didn’t do it for me. The portions are small and the prices are high and the quality is on the lower end.
We were in the neighborhood and tried this place out of curiosity and it was disappointing. The salsa is similar to Tapatio/​Tabasco sauce, the meat was dry and the place is a complete dump. The service was not friendly and really for an overpriced set of tacos I would at least like some courtesy.
You may just be better off going to a run down taco truck. Or if you are at the hospital and in a bind for tacos, you could settle for Daves.

Tacos are still great! I miss Dave and his wonderful persona and smile. True immigrant rigor and amazing work ethic in creating something unique in Bakersfield. Tacos are never full of grizzle, the sauce is amazing. His cockeyed, balding son and the Asian porn star looking girl with bad makeup, however, turn away business with his horrible attitude, unfriendly behavior and unprofessional work ethic, shame on you!

Very poor customer service, worker argued with me over my order, food was Ok, not the best, nice that they are open late, but was one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had in recent times. The Asian balding guy that took my order was very rude, even while I was trying to be nice. Will not be eating here ever again, which is unfortunate since i get off late and this place is nearby for a quick meal, oh well…
Word of advice… Be agreeable with the customer even when in doubt, it will go a long way for your business.

These guys have never heard of customer service. Spent $ 50 on an order and they forgot a soda because its too loud inside for them to hear. When he added the soda charged me extra because the order was under $ 10. When I asked about the fee he said he couldn’t hear me and shut the window. Its dumb to treat a customer like crap because you can’t hear them. Not my problem

First timer here. I came with a veteran Dave’s patron. He’s been raving about their Lengua tacos for over a year now — we walk up and find NO MORE LENGUA!!!
So we opted for 5 beef and 5 chicken. As a first timer I’d have to say they both were good not THE BEST but a good flavor, moist and tasty. Fast service, all served hot, special sauce was tasty but could have had a little more kick. $ 1.85 is A little high considering the amount of meat you get but — eh, such is life.
Will I go back? Well, if it’s on my way and I’m hungry, sure. But I’m not going to drive out of my way for it.

Small quaint place to grab a quick bite to eat for lunch. Menu has limited options, but that’s perfect for this small venue. There is only seating available outside on tables/​chairs; nice for a sunny day.
I ordered a beef taco and a chicken taco; they came out in small bite sizes; very quick to finish it up. The meat was cut up in tiny cubes and tossed in there with some cilantro and radishes (and lathered w/​hot sauce).
Each taco is $ 1.75 each; pretty pricey! Would be nice if it was just $ 1 each or something. :)

Whatchu got in that sauce, Dave?
First off, I’d like to thank Dave’s Tacos for being Dave’s Tacos. You’re in a crappy location, with crappy customer service, and have all of your employees geared with crappy attitudes. But I’m more than willing to see past these things for a half plate of beef, half plate of chicken tacos with the sauce on the side. Well played, Dave.
Second off, thanks for focusing on your tacos and not expanding your menu to anything else. HEY. ALL THEY SERVE ARE TACOS, PEOPLE. Why anyone would knock off stars on a rating because their menu only consists of tacos? Go to Taco Bell if you want variety. Even Del Taco. Just get out of line at Dave’s; the wait is long enough as it is.
And finally, instead of cowering and crying about how rank-​stanky the attitudes of the workers at Dave’s are, realize that service with a smile is not what Dave is about. Don’t expect rainbows and butterflies.
Expect good tacos and that’s about it.
