The waitress was really polite and helpful but that doesn’t help when your food doesn’t meet your expectations. The oatmeal was under cooked and splashed all over the plate. They took it and they brought me back the same cardboard tasting oatmeal. They must of put it in the microwave to finish«cooking». I stop coming to this location because the restaurant was old and smelly. After about 2 years, I come back and food was awful, plates were dirty. If you don’t care how food taste or looks like then this is a perfect place to come. I wish I could of post a picture!

Worst Denny’s in all of California. I wish I had gotten the servers name. She did not attend to us even after waiting over 15 minutes when people who just sat down were already ordering. I went up to a server and asked him if we even had a server because no one is attending us and he got upset and was about to help me when this woman yelled out«oh she’s mine I’ll help her right now.» Lies. She continued to completely ignore us. I wanted to act ghetto and mess that booth up but decided to walk out and go to another place. They did not give a fuck. I went over to the Denny’s at white lane and even though it has less stars they were a ton more friendly and attended to us quickly. We got our orders in and our drinks on our table in less than 5 minutes.

When life gets surreal, it’s time for pie. And the place for pie is n’t really Denny’s. Back Window is somebody’s house. Zingo’s came up in the pie search and is a restaurant in an all-nude recreation hangout. No pie for me. Moo Creamery, Black Bear Dinrr and Coco’s closed. That leaves Denny’s. I must tell you I began this review a month ago. Since that time, Denny’s Panama Lane has been a refuge, a place for reflection, a haven after ejection, a meeting spot and personal office. Today is family meeting day, and Denny’s staff tucked us into the southeast expansion area where we’ll conclude five weeks of critical family business and decide what will happen in phase 2. Throughout the weeks, staff here have been helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. They stop serving pumpkin pie after Thanksgiving.

Ok I usually like Denny’s but this one really sucked. Walked in with my kids and and there were people waiting, so went up to the hostess podium and waited to have our name taken down. The hostess walked up and ignored me(I was standing right in front of her) and called the next group up on the list. I was like ok they’re busy trying to sit everyone. She came back up and she did it again, ignored me, didnt even acknowledge us, called the next group up. There was only 4 groups on the list. So we left.

Well I decided to take my husband out to breakfast as we haven’t done that in a while. We would have gone to Anabo’s but unfortunately they closed down. We chose the Denny’s we used to frequent on Panama Lane. My husband was always fond of the Grand Slam Slugger that included two pancakes, two eggs, hash browns, two bacon, two sausage, small juice and coffee for $ 8. He always said that was the best deal they had. Now they have a Grand Slam Slugger French Toast with two pieces of French toast, two eggs, hash browns, two bacon or sausage, small juice and coffee for $ 8. We tried it and it was with quite good. We both felt that the quality of their food had improved since our last visit there.

Not only is it the only restaurant open 24 hours in bakersfield, it is the only Denny’s I have been to wear I don’t have to wait to be seated. I never liked the service at any Denny’s I have been to until I came to this location. Juan Carlos provides great customer service and is very polite.

Tbh I have had plenty of good services from here and a few bad ones but just because I have a couple bad experiences doesn’t mean I’m going to stop coming here because I have more good ones then bad ones I guess it depends on what kind of attitude you go in but above all good place I say better then the one on white lane Tbh

We went to this particular Central Valley Denny’s establishment on our way to Sequoia National Park. We sat in our booth, freezing, starving and completely in the dark, for over 20 minutes before we picked up and headed down the street to Molly J’s. That place is awesome! I definitely recommend Molly J’s. Service was awesome — waitresses were nice and funny — food was excellent and it came so quickly. I love Molly J’s.

Let me say that used to love coming here before they renovated. Now all I can say is yuck! The food is getting so bad it’s not even funny. Breakfast is horrible with the food tasting like yesterday’s left outside leftovers. And to top it all off, it takes 45+ minutes to get this so called«food». I will never torture myself or my kids by coming here ever again.

It’s filthy and fly’s are everywhere. Server should bring napkins and silver wear before you get your food.

Would honestly only give half a star if possible. Came in with some co workers after working a really long day, Dennys has always been a go to for us, but last night we came in and immediately noticed our server Juan had an extraordinarily negative attitude. It seemed like he did not want to be there and rolled his eyes at us everytime any one of us requested something. Not only was our server negative but then the food took FOREVER to come out to us. Ordered our first round and it took about 45 minutes to come out and there was maybe 5 other tables tops. After going through this for about 2 and a half hours waiting 10 – 15 min for drinks and 30 – 45 mim each time we ordered more food we finally decided it was time to go and then we find out they lost our ticket! So then they made us wait around another half hour or so until they could pull their heads out and fix the problem and didnt bother to comp what they said they would and wouldnt offer up even a 10% off discount for giving us such terrible service.

Terrible service. I went here with some coworkers and had the worst experience at Denny’s in my whole life. The waiter seem like he hated his job and had the worst attitude I’ve ever seen. I ordered unlimited pancakes and had to wait over 20 minutes minutes for each new batch of pancakes. He messed up multiple things on my order. The service was absolutely the slowest I’ve ever seen in a restaurant that was not busy. They also somehow managed to delete our entire order from the computer system and we had to wait until they can figure out the problem before we could even leave. I hate this Denny’s location as much as I love Denny’s.

Probably the worst denny’s on the planet. Took the kids I’m here to eat, no forks in some of our table settings, coffee cups had stains all over them in plain view, waitresses poured the coffee without a second glance. She then would not substitute eggs for hash browns. On what planet are potatoes more expensive then eggs? Then had attitude problem. Food was trash, I’m done. Won’t be back.

We walked in at 5pm, and the place was maybe a quarter full. We were seated quickly with a smile, and our water orders were prompt. I ordered a build-you-own chicken burger, and my companion had the chicken bacon classic. These are similar sandwiches with slightly different toppings, and mine was on whole wheat instead if a regular bun. My sandwich arrived mostly as ordered, but with the addition of tomatoes, which I removed. My companion said his burger was delicious as it arrived. I enjoyed all of mine; he took about half to go. The regular fries were good, not spectacular, and his seasoned fries were nice and crispy. The server was responsive and efficient, if not a real friendly guy. He did smile, but I like servers who kinda banter with you. Just a personal thing. We come here a lot; show that you recognize us as regulars. I appreciated the TV sound being off, but closed captioned on a news channel. No obnoxious noise, but we watched a bit of it before our meals arrived. I would certainly come here again.

Started off terrible, but improved during our visit. Ty(sever) needed some help getting drinks out. Did not hesitate asking coworkers for help. They really stood up to the plate and helped each other out. Service was a bit slower than normal, but being with good friends, then was no need to rush. Seems as if Denny’s need to have a napkin dispenser on every table. Hate asking every 2.5 minutes for napkins. If solely based on speed, I would have given one star. Seeing someone new improving on their skills, and asking for help when needed… that earned some points. The hostess really made our visit more welcoming, and pleasant.(Extra star?) Will keep this Denny’s on our favorite list.

There was a town that has no food And Bakersfield was its Name-O D-E-N-N-Y-S was open DENNYS was open But you should of stayed at home One of very few places open at 1:00 am in Bakersfield. But we saw the sign off the freeway and decided to fuel up on coffee and food before the 150 or so mile journey home. We were seated at a small 2 person table with a clear view of the TV and parking lot where our car was. The resturant was full at this time with only 1 or 2 servers manning our side of the resturant. I took a mental note and expected service to be delayed. Our waiter did the best he could, keepin the cook staff on their toes, making sure they were getting his orders out. I heard him, rushing them. We tried ordering the Burbon burger, but they were out of the Bourbon sauce. So they substituted it with BBQ sauce. My husband’s order was misinterpreted and was given fries instead of red potatoes. Then when the order was fixed, the potatoes were undercooked. My breakfast bird sandwich looked as if it was bathed in grease. It was the maple butter that blanketed the bread. The poor thing needed a serious wipe down and my fingers were desperate for a good cleaning. I only ate ½ of it and was done. I grabbed the ketchup bottle and it was empty… I tried 3 different table top ketchups, all empty. The ketchup man must of been sick. Drinks were slowly refilled. They offer AYCD iced coffee and hot coffee, which is a plus when you have 2 people whose marriage has a swing relationship with the cold snd hot brews. But, there was never enough sugar. I had to go searching myself to find some. I think if you stick to simple favorites like pancakes you will be okay. But dont expect a quick meal during late hours when they are understaffed. Its Dennys, no where near 4 or 5 stars. Review #475

We were coming back from LA and wanted a quick bite to eat so we pulled into Denny’s. We walked in and there was no hostess to seat us. There were several people ahead of us too. We get seated and waited awhile before we got asked for drinks. I ordered coffee and when it was delivered I asked for some sugar. Our server didn’t come back and I had to go to another table to get the sugar. I ordered a grand slam and my husband ordered the salmon. Well, should have known better to order salmon at Denny’s. It was definitely frozen and not fresh. I got toast with my meal and our table did not have jelly. Again our server didn’t come back. So I had to go to another table again to get jelly. As you can tell the service is poor and they had one cook on a busy night. Will not go again.

I am so confused at this place… sometimes great service, sometimes not. The food is always the same(It is Denny’s after all) but sometimes it isn’t served as hot as it should be or as fresh as it could be(again we are talking Denny’s). My hubby and I hit this spot because it is open later than most in the area and it is just easy to do. So I remain ambivalent.
