The frier was broken so they couldn’t make shrimp or churros. They also excluded an item from my order. Overall disappointed.

This is my «go to» place for quick food. Even though it’s always busy, they are pretty quick with orders. The chicken is always fresh. I am always getting a chicken al carbon if I’m running around and on the go. The mac and cheese is what my son refers to as «bomb.» I’m also a sucker for the Loco salad off the side menu. Ask for the avacado salsa as a dressing. It’s bomb!

So yummy every time. Super fast service and our food was piping hot !!! No mistakes. Consistently good and fair price ! Keep up the good work !! Very pleasant experience !!

I have eaten here often. Food is fresh, and staff is friendly. Some of them are actually very professional. The bathroom is always clean, nice, and well-​maintained.
But on the other hand, if you eat here, MAKE SURE you double-​check your food. They tend to make mistakes often… You order one thing, and they may give you another. Or for example, if you order a side order of cut up chicken breast which comes in a small container, make sure you open the small container and check inside. They may have forgotten to put anything in it. And I don’t think they do these things on purpose. We do have to understand that they are young folks, perhaps at their very first job, and handling very high volumes of requests and demands… I still have every good reason to come back…

Amazing customer service from the whole crew ! Shout out to Dominick and Sandra way to go ! They have surpassed their customer service skills, interaction and outstanding service !
Have been here a few times and I have always encountered friendly staff.

The whole wheat avocado burrito is back the way it was! Much better, seams it was just a fluke and probably a person who prepared it and got it wrong before

My husband was wanting this chicken for whatever reason for weeks now. So, tonight we went by.
He got a 2 piece combo with breast and wing. 2 sides, pinto beans with rice. (the rice can be improved, tasted very reheated, beans very good, he said) You also get a choice of flour or corn tortilla. Very fresh and useful to scoop up the sides and sauces.
Lots of side sauces inside to choose from.
If you can come in, do not drive though. I feel you just get more for your money to go in and choose from peppers, spicy guac (yum!) extra cilantro, etc.
Even the washroom is clean.
Service was fantastic, keep it up Jeff and Alejandro!
They even asked how our meal was when leaving, brought our meal to our table before that, very personable and helpful. Patient for first-​timers. It was hard to choose — they have healthy salads, bowls and calorie wise dishes.
I had the burrito chicken meal. It was good but of course their version, not authentic. It just came with rice. The star of the dish of course was the chicken, no doubt chopped from the chicken visible on the huge grill. I liked my chicken better than my husband’s but he loved it and gobbled it all up. I found the breast a bit dry but I tend to choose the dark meat cuts.
The drive thru for some reason is always busy so if you are in a rush and want grilled chicken and not fried, this is a great option.
Visit 2 — TIP — Have a winter cold? GET the chicken soup. It is what you want to eat when you are sick! Real chicken, good stock, some veg, decent seasoning and the portion size was great.
Hubby also got a salad tonight and enchiladas Loved it all. He is officially addicted to this place!
VISIT 3 — WOW! I just ate the spicy chipotle burrito as I had asked for the spiciest thing on the menu. Blown away. Love how the burrito was grilled to perfection, was made fresh and kept warm in the foil til I got home. Perfect amount of everything on it, not too much cheese and I liked the portion size. The chicken here is just so much better than other places. I am starting to like this place more and more. Service was great, as always! Sundays at dinnertime — busy and with good reason!

Amazing service from Suzy in the drive through window! She got my order correct and even went the extra mile to get to know her customer «me» i will most definitely return and hope i could get the same great customer service i did today!

We have been to this Pollo Loco twice and its pretty good. The times we have been there the service has been decent. Today we were barely finished settling in when our food was delivered to the table. The chicken is very juicy and tender and there’s plenty of seating. For 2 adults and one child we spent about $ 25.

The service was quick and friendly and the chicken very fresh. The seating at this location was also pretty cool because other Pollo Locos have tables just side by side and sometime a little too close to each other not giving you much privacy but the seating here was good giving you personal space to enjoy your meal.

We were looking for affordable catering for our company party. We ordered 100 pieces of mixed chicken and tortillas. Tons of salsa too. Everyone raved about it and it totally was gone! We had other entrees from other places, but El Pollo Loco was the hit of the party. A big plus was the FREE deep pit tortas.

3 weeks ago, I ordered the puffy chicken avocado tacos… they were out of this world!.. so fresh and delish… fast forward to yesterday… same place, same order, and what a let down.‘puffy’ taco shells were so stale I could hardly rip through them with my teeth. pico sauce was on it’s way out as far as lifespan… step it up guys, and have better quality control please!

This location has been here a long time. We come here a couple of times a year when we want to eat something healthier than fried chicken, and we’re in the area. Last weekend we ordered a family meal for the 7 of us. It was the 16 piece (legs & thighs) with 3 Large sides. The chicken with the flour tortillas was yummy as always. The coleslaw was good, but the corn cobettes were just okay. Everybody liked the bbq black beans though.
The service has always been good and quick. The salsa bar and the rest of the restaurant is normally clean. Also, they usually have coupons in the paper every couple of months so you can get an even better deal.

This is one of Bakersfield’s healthiest fast food options. My favorite is the skinless chicken breast combo. It comes with a skinless chicken breast (duh), a side salad, and a side of steamed vegetables. On the old weight watchers program the whole meal was only 5 points! I like to take the salad (which comes in a decent sized bowl) and put half of it on the plate with the chicken. Then on both salads I pile on the pico de gallo sauce, which is mostly tomatoes and is not very spicy, onions, and cilantro. I then cover it with a layer of their spicy avocado salsa and squeeze on some fresh limes. I put avocado salsa on the veggies, too. Yummy, skinny, and very filling.
I’ve had their pollo bowls, and salads and they are not bad. On occasion, I’ll order the brc (bean, rice, cheese?) burrito and a chicken leg and put the meat from the leg in their burrito — comes out at about $ 2.50 for the whole thing,
I love, love, love their chicken tortilla soup — very good for fast food. In fact, no qualifiers needed, it is my favorite chicken tortilla soup in town — nice and spicy with a good balance of flavors. And it’s not very expensive, either!
I don’t really go for all those fancy burritos, let’s be honest — they’re kind of expensive, but to each their own. For fast and healthy food when you’re short on money and time, this is the place to go.

Drive-​thru order. I ordered the chicken tacos. They were just ok. The girl asked if I wanted sauce I asked for hot salsa and got nothing. My tacos were dry. Having never ate there before I wish I had their salsa, because the salsa I had added from home didn’t pair well. I’d say I MIGHT go again but honestly no, because as far as Hispanic style fast food goes this place is over priced, and over rated.
