I went here and few other places looking for a couple of plants I had in mind. This place was by far the most impressive. Not only because all of their plants were well taken care of but because of their helpfulness. I’m not very knowledgeable about plants but the guy working there did a great job at assisting me. I looked at several places around town before deciding that this was the best choice!

Beautiful plants, and wonderful facility. Also has pond plants which is pretty awesome. I had someone help me, walked me around and showed me every plant that fit the description of what I needed. I actually got a plant that I have wanted for some time, and it was not expensive at all. They are also very knowledgeable so they answered all me questions on how to take care of the plants I wanted.

O. SEE-em-BLOOM? I. SEE-you-NOW! I’ve driven past this place at least two or three times a week for at least a year, and never noticed it was here. I can say that for sure because I’ve read the bright pink sign for ‘The Good Stuff’ Thrift Shoppe on the same signpost a million times and never looked below at their(equally adorable) blue sign. For some reason this time was different — I saw the sign and had to flip a u-turn to come back and check it out! I’ve been on a hunt for a citrus tree and herb plants for my back yard for months now. I’ve checked out several local nurseries and home improvement stores and either couldn’t find what I was looking for or felt what they had was way overpriced or in poor condition. Frustrating to say the least, so when I pulled in here this morning I wasn’t really expecting to find what I needed. I started wandering around their outdoor nursery area and noticed how attractively displayed all their plants were. I was taking pictures of various flowering plants(yes, not what I was in the market for, but I’m easily distracted by bright colors and shiny objects — It’s kind of a curse, really;) I was approached by a very helpful gentleman by the name of Eddie who asked if there was anything in particular I was looking for. He immediately guided my back to their citrus tree area(on the complete opposite side of the enclosure) and started speaking to me very knowledgeably about the various trees. I finally decided on an orange tree and he led me over to the shelves with the herb plants where I found basil, oregano, spearmint, and several types of peppers. He carried everything up to the little house with the cash register in it and started quizzing me on my other needs. Fertilizer? Nope, I already had some. Potting soil or compost? Huh? He explained the difference to me and what each was used for and I settled on a large bag of compost. He lugged all my purchases out to the car where he carefully spread plastic over my seats to keep them clean and packed everything carefully into the car. When I reached home, not a clump of dirt had spilled, nor leaf had dropped. THAT’S certainly a first. Usually when I bring plants home my car is a little the worse for wear. All in all a pleasant experience — great service(friendly AND knowledgeable), healthy plants, nothing heavy to carry, and a clean car. My backyard looks great, but there IS still a little empty space in the planters… I just might need to go back and check out the pretty flowers again ;)
