This was our first time here! … And the service was awesome! I’ve never had service like this anywhere in Bakersfield! Sydney was such an awesome person and an awesome person ! Every time I come here I’m going to request her ! Sydney you are awesome !

I have been coming to this place over the years and it is still just as good as the first time. It is normally a full house, that’s always a good sign right? The service is always friendly, place is always clean. I have enjoyed a few different items from their menu over the years and have never been disappointed. The place is always loud, but it’s the sounds of people enjoying the moment. I just relax, enjoy my cold beer and watch some sports on their TVs while my delicious sandwich is being built. Portion size is a good size, prices are a little high but food tasting good and friendly service makes it all worth it. I will continue to stop bye.

Went for Sunday football. Didn’t have much beer to choose from but all in all it was a pretty good experience. We order an app and a sandwich and the lady brought them out together even though we wanted the app first… like most people do. Tv’s were spread out great to see almost all the games. Food was good. Nothing out of this world, but it was still good

Seriously had the best service & thanksgiving because of the bartender Summer :) I am in town from long beach, visiting family right down the street and we had such a fun time and laughs with Summer! She was so happy and energetic, seriously made our whole night!!! Thanks again Summer!!!

What a suprise… huge New York steak special 18 $ yesterday. Cooked to perfection, thick and tender. It came with fresh mashed potatoes and green beans. It was a great date night.

I have mostly been here for happy hour drinks or late night drinks. The service is good, and the drinks and appetizers are all reasonably priced. I have now been here once or twice for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised to find that I really enjoyed their breakfast menu.
My favorite breakfast item, by a long shot, is the RJs Hangover Helper Burrito — a flour tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, crispy tots, jack & cheddar cheese and topped with their homemade spicy arbol pepper sauce with guacamole and sour cream on top. I elected to have it with a bacon shot — a shotglass filled with maple whiskey with a crispy piece of bacon standing at attention inside it and an orange juice chaser. Just for the record, it did not need the o.j. chaser.
We came here on a Saturday morning with a large group of people and they had no trouble accommodating us quickly. The service was fabulous, and our waitress did not judge the fact that almost every person at the table over the age of 21 was having alcohol with breakfast.

This rating is for service, atmosphere and experience only. Not for food as we didnt stay long enough to experience.
I can tell this place hires unqualified staff who probably service management to get hired. staff did alot of standing around, werent replacing used table settings and took forever to bring drinks, settings etc to our table. There are alot better places to eat in Bakersfield. this place only stands for the night life and hangover crowd.

Good atmosphere and busy bar. Enjoyed the wait staff. Food was just ok. Got the clam chowder and found large bay leafs in my bowl. Picked them out and found some chopped bay leafs in the soup. Not only are they inedible, but chewing them means I tasted nothing but bay leaf the rest of the night. Generally poor execution.

Wings here are great! Good place to bring family to hang out and have drinks and appetizers.

If they had no stars I would give them no stars. Worst customer service ever. I have gift cards here but I will probably give them to a homeless person cuz that is how I got treated here. Never will I recommend anyone to come here. Worst service ever!! McDonalds has better service then this place!!! bartender or waitress what ever you want to call her is so inexperienced and so rude I would never go back.

We are long time patrons of r j s. Haven’t been for a few months. The last few times we have been disappointed. Last nite was the worst, usually the chili verde nachos are good but the quality has deteriorate. Caned cheese and the Chili verde was out of a can also not homemade as before. Yuck!!!
The Moscow mule was the best thing that we had. We are through with r j s … To bad should have gone to goose looneys

I’ve never actually eaten here, but my friends and family seem to like it okay. I personally have only used the bar. The service is decent. The selection is actually really good considering many of the bars in Rosedale are very small and boring. The only thing that truly bugs me about this place is the crowd it attracts… there have definitely been a lot of bros there whenever I go. If you take your own friends, it’s not a bad place to hang out.

Ehhhhhhh… nothing special. Service mediocre. Food mediocre. We won’t return. Much better steaks in Bakersfield for sure! Too damn loud also!

Everything about my experience was great and I can’t wait to come back.
My mom and I got there around 10:30am today (Saturday) for breakfast to bide some time while I was getting my tires done down the street. They let us pick our seat (which is very important to my mom who can be VERY particular) which was great.
Our server Sheena was very sweet and very helpful. She was always making sure we were doing okay and making sure my mimosa glass was full.
$ 3.50 mimosas at that time so I love that! And they don’t premix it, so they don’t skimp on the champagne. My mom and I both built our own omlettes for about $ 9.50 and they were delicious (especially with the salsa you have to ask for on the side).
I am really looking forward to going back on Wednesdays when they have half off wine and champagne and bring my girlfriends.
It wasn’t too loud, there weren’t kids running around, everyone was really nice, and not acting like they were doing us a favor, like I feel some servers can be (I used to be a server myself), the food was good for a good price, and I had a great time with my mama!

Summer. Bailey. Julie are the best bartenders EVER. Great burger deal Monday, all u can eat pasta on Tuesday wine me up Wednesday (yes ½ off a bottle u can’t beat that) and so on. Do I need to say more? Pasta is really good but their Cajun wings r

What the heck happened to RJ’s???
Once previously known to us and many of our friends, as being one of the greatest hidden hotspots for a FANTASTIC (and I mean FANTASTIC) Ribeye dinner, has become the loud-​disappointing-​A-​typical-​sports-​bar, tucked in the corner of a strip mall.
Though it’s always been a bit on the pricey side, we’ve happily paid our tab, generally about $ 55 to include a couple glasses of wine each (before tip), while preplanning our next visit per the chalkboard of great upcoming events and happenings.
We’ve loved it’s welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, sort of a Cheers Bar feel; attentive and familiar staff, and
keen eye for cleanliness.
However, our last 4 trips, (Yes, 4. We like to be fair), have warranted an uncomfortable ‘acceptable’ meal at a ridiculously HIGH price. Tonight’s encounter was the final straw…
The once attentive staff, seemed far less interested in the customers than chatting amongst each other. We couldn’t recognize one server or bartender (Mgmt excluded). The place was a wreck on a cleanliness level (unless of course an entire football team had just departed at 7pm), sticky dirty tables & bench seats, filthy floor and OMG, don’t get me started on the restroom!
Even the standard portion that routinely required a take-​home container, diminished. $ 71 for 2 salads, 2 Ribeye steaks with ehh mashed potatoes, and 2 waters, is LUDICROUS. We should have ordered the wine, at least that might have dulled the pain! At this point, if we go back again, we’ll have no one to blame but ourselves for being STUPID…

Service was quick, friendly, and impressive, but the food was the shining star.
I ordered the Avocado egg rolls to start, which were «punch a baby» good! The homemade tamarind dipping sauce added a slight spice, but just enough to wake up your taste buds.
I also enjoyed the California beach burger, which far exceeded my expectations! It tasted like Jesus (or whatever you you choose to worship) grilled it to perfection himself. I will be coming back!
My burger was $ 11 and the egg rolls were $ 12. Slightly higher priced than fast food, but well worth it.

How I havent reviewed this place yet I do not know. I come here every time I am in town, even if its just for a few hours. And order the same thing every time (chicken cordon ftw). I have tried other dishes and my friends are always happy with whatever they order as well. Sometimes the service (especially when its time to get your bill) is slow but other then that I love this place. Sometimes the crowd is a little so-​so but its worth it. Also wonderful drinks and a fun place to hang at night and relax… not living here anymore I haven’t hung around for drinks at night often anymore, but back in the day… oh the memories…

I have been here several times meeting friends to watch a game. Service is pretty fast and the appitizers were pretty good.
The brunch here is very good as well, we sat out in the patio, plenty of sunshine, and good beverages as well. Located as part of a strip mall off of Hageman Rd .in the NW
