We had the Chile Verde Pizza and it was AWESOME! Sad that we are only passing through, otherwise we’d definitely be trying more of what they have! They delivered to a local campground for us and the driver was very friendly.

I don’t normally write reviews, but how can this place only get 3 stars? They have the best pizza in town! We go at least once a week and order pizza, wedges, and wings. The food is always on point, hell I’m even craving it right now! The price is reasonable for what you get and its delicious. Do yourself a favor. Go to Rustys.

This is a review for this specific location. I love Rustys. I dont usually come to this location on Niles because of their crappy customer service but because I live on the east side, its convenient. I placed an order at 11:49 am, operator told me 10 – 15 minutes. Cool. I show up to at 12:15. Waited, waited until the manager asked«under what name?!» No hello, how are you. She shuts the drive thru door. Im waiting and waiting. Until 12:25 someone takes my cash(keeps my change, its .25 cents but still) and thats it until about 12:30. All the cashier tells me is shes going to upgrade my drink to large size, does not explain what the hold up is. Finally at 12:32 I get my order. I ask why it took so long and if they barely put the pizza in the oven. She states yes, but that it just came out so it should be «fresh.» Oh gee thank you, after waiting almost an HOUR for my pizza, I get home, its undercooked. Completely DOUGHY. So upsetting. 1 star goes to the awesome ladies who take your phone orders. I called and complained, and was offered a free lunch special credit. Thank you Christy. Up yours Niles location, stay shitty.

We are visiting from out of town and found Rusty’s on Unilocal. We ordered a half Hawaiian pizza and half garden special, thin crust. The pizza was excellent and the beer served in chilled mugs. The service was good and fast. This pizza is better than the majority of pizza places in SF, especially in the Excelsior. I highly recommend this family/old school style pizza place.

BESTPIZZAEVER!!! Pan Crust pizza is the best, a little pricy but totally worth it. The hot wings… don’t get me started NEVER found any other hot wing that taste better then Rusty’s. And their wedges are awesome too. I have been going to this Rusty’s for at least 12 years. It sucks because I moved out of Bakersfield but when I do visit family they know where they can find me at hehe :)

I came here to meet up with staff to go over some procedures. Apparently, my staff really like Rusty’s and I’m game to try about anything. First off, the staff at Rusty’s are super nice and accommodating here. We got there late afternoon and sat in a room with plenty of table space. I ordered 1 large pepperoni pizza(pan), 1 large bbq chicken(thin), 1 small jalapeño & pineapple pizza(strange, I know, but one of the staff really dug this combo and I tried it and it wasn’t bad! Kinda like a thai mix with the spicy and sweet combined), 1 super garlic cheese bread, 1 large Rusty’s special(thin), 25 hot wings, and 1 super wedge. Now, I gotta admit that I didn’t get to try either the super wedge or the garlic cheese bread. As for the pizza, I thought they were all tasty. But, I don’t know that any of the pizza really separated itself from any other pizza joint I’ve been to sans the meat filled wonder at Petrilli’s in Upland, or the uniqueness of the argentinean pizza at Tango Baires in Rancho Cucamonga(with hearts of palm and other tasty toppers). I thought the bread on the pan wasn’t thick or buttery enough(hello pizza hut — from what I remember) and the thin wasn’t crispy(hi CPK). I liked the wings as they were generally well cooked. Overall, I wouldn’t mind coming back to Rusty’s again. Pizza was on the pricier side, but the atmosphere was nice and it accommodated us well.
