Jimmy John’s

Update alert: Jimmy John’s also delivers umbrellas! During one of my many recent visits, I left my umbrella there, called to see if I could pick it up after work, and they offered to just bring it to my office since they were headed in that direction anyway. Any guesses as to how fast it got here?
Freaky.

Whenever we have no food or are too lazy to go to the store this is our go to. They have fast delivery and the food is great. I love the Italian night club.

Those $ 1 sub days suck me in every time. Other than the subs being a dollar, there really is no compelling reason to go back.
The $ 1 sub special gets you your choice of the #1– #6 8inch subs. Today I went for the turkey tom. It was supposed to come with fresh sliced turkey breast, lettuce, tomato, alfalfa sprouts and mayo. I ordered mine without the tomato and mayo and added onion, cucumber, oregano, vinegar and oil. Although normally considered a freebie, on $ 1 sub day they charge extra for hot pepper. And apparently the alfalfa is not included with the promo or was forgotten from my sandwich.
The ingredients were fresh and there was nothing wrong with my sandwich. It was just mediocre to the core. The best word to describe it would probably be bland.
As you could expect with a dollar promotion, the line was pretty long– more or less 2 store fronts back. The promotion was well organized and they had staff walking up and down the line with menus. They wrote your order on an order sheet which you then presented to the cashier when you made it to the front of the line. All and all I probably waited online about 15– 20 minutes.
I can’t promise that I won’t return for the next $ 1 promotion however I couldn’t see myself paying the normal price of $ 4.50 for such a bland sandwich.

My son introduced this to me yesterday, as a means to grab a quick lunch. Super quick, fresh sandwiches, inexpensive. I had a Total Tuna, nothing to write home about. I’ll have to try others as he is here presumably for the next four years at nearby SJU.
Booths inside this restaurant were on the tight side. Not a problem once I was sitting in it, but took some amount of gyrations to get situated. Like getting into a sports racing car or something.
I could not see a dispenser for napkins anywhere, they did not hand me any when my neatly-​wrapped sandwich came out. Try asking them for some if you go here.
Place was clean, staff friendly. There looked to be a restroom in the back
Parking is plentiful; they are in a gigantic strip mall off City Avenue.

I had a colleague place an order and she was very happy with it. Later in the day I got a call from the Manager Hanna. She was very pleasant and wanted to me to give Jimmy John’s another shot & offered to make me another sandwich. So I took her up on it today & I am happy to say that the quality of this sandwich was up to par with my expectations & that’s really all I ask for. Now I know they may have payed special attention to me because I was a «squeaky wheel», so I’ll keep this posted updated.
In any case, this shows that Jimmy John’s is committed to customer service. Not only do they have quick delivery, and a good, tasty product at a fair price but they listen to the customer. So we’ll see if they can keep the quality where it deserves to be.
