Healing Hands Dental

The reason why I like this dental office (and Dr. Swain) is the reason I should not be writing this review; I can get in the same day every single time I call.
I had 5 crowns done 5 Mondays in a row with Dr. Swain. (Yes, I have really good insurance.) On the third crown the temporary popped off because I thought it was a good idea to eat handfuls of nuts and I bit down on a shell that I wasn’t expecting. The girls who work there had me in the dentist’s chair 2 hours later.
Dr. Swain is a younger guy, but he knows what you’re talking about and is very professional. You know when you go to a mechanic and you try to describe the sounds you’re hearing? Well, when I told Dr. Swain the sounds I was hearing in my mouth, he diagnosed the problem quickly, filed down the top on one crown and it was fixed.
If you live in the area and you need a dentist, Dr. Swain is worth checking out.
Side Note: The reason I left my other dentist I had for 12 years is because I switched jobs and my insurance changed. So I decided to find someone who didn’t have an office 25 miles away. (I used to live and work closer when I originally started seeing them.) If you live in the Manchester /​Ballwin area Healing Hands Dental is pretty convenient. Also, it’s the office facing Barrett Station Rd., not the parking lot. I walked in the wrong dental office the first time I went to Healing Hands. They said, «We get that every day.»

Healing Hands has taken over the location of Des Peres Dental. The new team is Justin Swain DMD and Peggy Zandvliet the oral hygienist. I came here after being with the former owners for 25 years. I guess you could say my dentist and I grew old together. Well he retired. It was with a certain mistrust that I came to Healing Hands Dental. I did not know them they did not know me.
My first interaction was with Peggy Zandvliet. She took my x rays, examined my teeth then she cleaned the teeth. I have never had a more gentle teeth cleaning in my life! Peggy has an amazing light hand when using all the dental tools they use to clean your teeth.
Dr. Swain while my teeth were being cleaned read my x rays. He then entered the office and did a lymph node check and asked if I had any concerns. I had one concern and he studies my bite in every way possible. He discovered the problem and fixed the tooth quickly.
I am very happy I have found another fine dentist.
