I forgot it was Black Friday. The place was rolling to the rafters with humans. My phone(for the past two weeks) has been awful on reception. To the point that I had to go outside to have a conversation. I’ve been a Verizon customer 26 years, so they got plenty of my money. I was met by Corey. Rick was there, too. They hooked me up with Liz, a service specialist. Liz put a new SIM card in the phone. We waited for it to re-activate. Kinda like watching grass grow or paint dry. It finally kicked in. Unsure if it helped a lot, ’cause I haven’t had a phone conversation from my house yet. Nonetheless, the service was terrific. Liz knew her stuff. And I was bypassed through all the buyers in the house.

Meghan was flat-out spectacular to deal with. Verizon’s corporate customer service sucked and damn near lost a $ 2k/year, 10-year old account over their unwillingness to resolve an issue. Not an idle threat as I was within 2 weeks of the end of contract date on an account with 3 smartphones when I visited the store. Meghan’s ability to develop a creative solution to the issue is the one and only reason why Verizon kept me as a customer. Those corporate customer service turds cannot hold a candle to her.

Salesman flat out lied to me and put an additional $ 60 per month on my bill. I told him I wanted minutes, data, and texts, he added the protection plan, local hotspot, and international hotspot/data. I didn’t get a chance to review his work before he completed the transaction, and when I questioned him about the charges on the receipt, he said he couldn’t do anything about it. «Sorry, it was already there»! BS! He didn’t apologize, he just tried to sneak it through. Dishonest salesmen, don’t go to this Verizon store. Guy’s name was Arlin or something.
