18/8 Fine Men’s Salons – Greenspring

Disappointing all around.
I’ve been wanting to try ¹⁸⁄₈ for a while. I have used a straight razor for a period of time and I was really looking forward to an upscale men’s pampering. I walked in without an appointment and asked if I could get a shave and haircut. I was greeted by a receptionist that was clearly unkempt. Old nail polish chipping off, make up poorly applied and I was not made to feel welcomed when I walked in. I was told there is No barber, but I could get a haircut and beard trim. So I booked it and waited for my appointment, due to start in 15 minutes. Waiting in the lobby I noticed a fridge, coffee machine, sodas, water, regular glasses and wine glasses. I was not offered any wine. I was offered coffee, but with powdered creamer even though there is a fridge right there.
I had my haircut with Brit M. It took 1hr and 15 minutes! Wayyyy too long. They upgraded me to the higher level service that came with a hot stone neck massage. If I had paid for it I would have been furious. It was pathetic.
The hair cut itself is ok. I paid $ 35. I can’t imagine they are going to be successful if they don’t seriously up their game.

What a gem! My sons, 12 & 18, received fantastic cuts from Brittany. They loved the pampering that is absent from the barber shop. Easy to schedule appts online although I just made a quick phone call to schedule. The receptionist is friendly and helpful. It is more expensive than the barber but well worth it.
