1 star is generous. This is ABSOLUTELYTHEWORSTCVSLOCATION I HAVEEVERBEENTO!!! Only ONCE was there someone who could actually help me at the pharmacy. I’m forced to use them because my insurance company through my job has some deal with CVS. But the people at this store are horrible!!! They have no problem telling me they don’t have what I need and refuse to help me get my meds at another location. When I ask why they say it compromises the security of the store(Wtf does that even mean?). They constantly tell me they need 2 hours to fill a medication and I get home and its ready 5 minutes later. THEYHAVENORESPECT for their customers’ time or needs. I am so fed up with this store I cringe every time I walk through the doors. If you’re like me and stuck with CVS I suggest another store in the city.

Exactly what you’ve come to expect from a CVS pharmacy. I haven’t used CVS since I moved to Baltimore, and I normally patronize the Rite Aid on Fort Ave. I made an exception to my rule when I realized that Rite Aid charged literally hundreds of dollars more for one of my prescriptions. Luckily, I only re-fill it every three months, so I had my physician send the prescription here. Despite my Dr’s. office being totally on top of every other prescription they’ve ever sent to another pharmacy, this place claims that they’ve never received anything from them, despite my doc sending it twice. This is a two star review only because I’ve never technically bought anything from them. For all I know they have a really nice Pez dispenser selection that TOTALLY redeems them, and until I pick up my prescription(if ever) I can’t in good conscience give them a single star. For the longest time I just assumed that pharmacy school attracted grumpy incompetents, and this chain is the reason. I’m sorry pharmacists of the world! I will no longer judge you based on the actions of your colleagues at CVS.

Don’t expect this pharmacy to help you 1 second after the clock hits 6 on Saturdays. I was at the counter at 6PM and the pharmacists were already out the door. One of them even saw me and said, «Yeah, sorry you’re like one minute too late.» It would have been nicer if she had taken 2 minutes out of her day to turn on the computer and get me my prescription. Very disappointing.

The only reason I use this pharmacy is because it’s the most convenient location but as of today I will no longer use them. The pharmacy technicians are rude never ever friendly, always make you feel like you’re interrupting them or their lunch, and are just cold. In addition to the incessant rudeness they ran out of Tamiflu, and it’s the middle of flu season. This I do not understand. I’m done giving them chances. Never again.

Incredibly rude pharmacist. Treated us terribly and seemed to go out of her way to try to prevent us from getting medication. It was literally an all day ordeal to get an Rx filled. She needs to learn that it is the doctor who decides, not her. The rest of the store is ordinary, but the location is great. No parking lot though. The cashier is always really slow but leaps into action to help you with the self checkout. Interpret that as you will. Merchandise is reasonably updated and fresh. Pricing is nothing special.

AVOIDTHISCVS. It’s not worth the effort. Had major issues with their photo center. Placed my order online to be done by 3PM. Then received a call at 5PM that they don’t have the capabilities to make what I ordered. Clearly this is a HUGE problem, likely with the website. Yadda yadda, I finally go to pick up my photo calendar and they have in CHRONOLOGICALLYINTHEWRONGORDER. It’s a calendar people! The check out counters are completely empty, leaving you to ring yourself up. If you have any issues(like I did) and actually have to speak with someone, get ready for a 15 – 20 minute wait. Parking situation is street parking only(rare in Fed hill)

I use this CVS a lot., and the process runs fairly smoothly most of the time. I like that people in the pharmacy are willing to ask other people questions if they do not know how to do something. The one thing that I do not like about this CVS is that half of the cash registers have been replaced with machines for people to check themselves out, and the cash register typically only has one person. The one person does not seem like enough for busy times of the day so it is best to use this location when it is not too busy. They are also able to take passport photos here.

After a colossal screw-up with my prescriptions at the Harbor East location, I desperately needed to purchase syringes in order to take my medication(long story short: they gave me the wrong meds, see my review of the Exeter Street CVS for details). My boyfriend came here because we needed to get needles for me to take insulin with and the original CVS pharmacy we’d been to was closed; we were given a package of 10 as a temporary measure until they could work on fixing the mess they had created at Exeter Street. When he got them, the pharmacist on duty told him that if I needed more of them, I could bring the prescription bottle back to them and they would supply me with another package. Now, I use up to 4 needles a day; at this rate, this package was only going to last the weekend. So we returned on Monday, just as the pharmacist on duty had instructed. Unfortunately, there was another pharmacist there who refused to give us the syringes, telling us that we had to go BACK to Exeter Street and deal with them — no reason given, no discussion — that was it. Well, let me tell you — I LOST it then and there. This is one of the reasons that I’ve written several letters to several managers of CVS in this area — because of the incredible level of incompetence and idiocy that I’ve had to deal with since this entire saga began. I only WENT to this location because the Exeter Street pharmacy had closed and this one was open an hour later. The pharmacy staff needs to be on the same page — I do NOT want one person to tell me one thing, then someone else tell me something different the next day. Either I could get the needles, or I COULDN’T — and in all honesty, since this was CVS’s fault to BEGIN with, they SHOULD have paid for them! I managed to get the situation straight. But I did not appreciate how I was treated — I have a prescription for Lantus, which is administered THROUGH A SYRINGE. I do not need syringes for illegal drugs. I do not appreciate being treated like a common criminal. Especially when I am simply FOLLOWINGTHEIRINSTRUCTIONSINTHEFIRSTPLACE. If I ever need another prescription, I am going back to Rite Aid when they at least know how to read prescription orders and get things correct the first time. As it is, I am now fighting to get ALL of my money back from CVS for all of the extra supplies I’ve had to purchase because THEY screwed up. Idiocy and incompetence, apparently not only at Exeter Street but at this location as well. Perhaps at all of them, who knows. I won’t be sticking around to find out, that’s for sure.

This is a newer CVS that is also quite small. It was somewhat difficult to find parking — perhaps since I am from out of town — and I was eventually just dropped off near the front of the store. The interior is very clean and well organized, and the associates were rather friendly. My only point of contention was the lack of a cashier. There are numerous self-checkouts that are present. Self-checkouts are not bad unless you are stuck behind some moron that can’t use it. All four of the open checkouts had this issue. I don’t understand how they can cause issues at the checkout — you scan the barcode, you put the item in the bag. You have to REALLY try to cause an issue or be THAT stupid. But I digress, they should have had at least one cashier for the dullards that are electronically inept.

Disclaimer: I love to hate CVS. It is actually one of my most hated establishments. I was fairly impressed by this CVS location though. It was large, clean and the people didn’t seem to hate life as much as the usual CVS folks seem to. The store was laid out in a way that I could find things. All in all, one of the better CVS locations I’ve been to.
