I bought my post-workout meal from here. It was conveniently located within Johns Hopkins Hospital, and across the street from the school gym. The line was not long at all, and this was probably due to the decreased foot traffic in the hospital on weekends. There were three ladies working here, and they had happy-go-lucky attitudes. They gave me good recommendations on what to get, and took my order with a warm smile. I got my sandwich in less than five minutes. The sandwich was ok, it was definitely filling. The photos does it no justice, as it was tasty and had the right portion of chicken. The place is definitely run well. I will come back to try their coffee in the near future.

Short and Caffeinated ^_^ When I need a pick me up, I definitely come here first. I wish there was a Starbucks around Hopkins however, this is the second best pick me up coffee that I’ll drink. I ordered a Vanilla Hazelnut coffee, which is amazing, I would have ordered a bagel however, I had cereal in the office. I’m a big fan of their almond spread :) The customer service was mediocre, the only thing I don’t care for are the long line/wait. It takes forever to receive a bagel with cream cheese.

I eat here every day but there appears to have been a change in policy. For the last 2 days, the bagels have had 1⁄3 the cream cheese as before. It’s not what I want in an expensive bagel and cup of coffee. Feel a bit ripped off. The people are the friendliest though! Love seeing them every day!

I like Einstein brothers but like Starbucks, and DD, I am not sure how you rate them more then three stars. This location offered an abbreviated menu but it was open on weekends. I got lots of coffee here but liked the coffee from the cafeteria better. I recommend this location if you are in Hopkins.

This is the only Einstein Bros bagels I’ve been to, I know, sad, I’m sheltered, I pick a place and stick with it. So can’t give 2 stars for I’ve experienced better. Well, I tried to go to the one in Towson but they are always closed, or closing, or out of stuff. Why? Don’t they want to do business and make some dough? Pun intended. Anyway, yes this place is super slow and giving the order is a confusing ordeal because the employees don’t hear you, or don’t comprehend you, or are not paying attention. The always busy subway in the same cafeteria with three lines of customers moves faster. Still, they haven’t messed up any order yet, which for me is normally everything bagel with smoked salmon or jalapeño smear. Simple right?

For a food court stand, I felt that Einstein Bros as compared to the other food court options is definitely the better but pricier choice. I ordered the chicken salad bagel with a whole wheat bagel. The cashier was quick to explain everything inside the chicken salad and was eager to provide me with descriptions of all the options on the menu. This shows that they know what they’re selling! Furthermore, the cashier was quick to make my food, and the other cashier made conversation with me while I was waiting for the food. I felt like a princess. So, for me I gave service 4⁄5. The food on the other hand was delicious. The bagel was extremely sweet and complimented the chicken salad very well… But it was really my own choice to piece these two together. I gave the food here a 3⁄5 because it wasn’t anything unique but was definitely delicious.

Do not go to this place unless you are just desperate. They need to change everything from staff to food

This place is pretty sad. I come here for coffee occasionally and I consistently wait in queue behind very few people for a very long time. It’s kind of amusing when I am not in a rush. When I am in a rush it’s frustrating to see one person slowly working a register while the rest of the crew cracks jokes and shows absolutely no initiative to help out. Maybe they should open a separate line for coffee only.

First: Einstein’s does not sell bagels. They are not boiled before baking as is traditionally required, and they add softeners to the dough. You’re buying a salty(or sweetened) bread roll, not an actual bagel – which is fine if you know what you’re getting. I know what I’m getting with Einstein’s and it can be quite tasty. But the Einstein’s in JHH suffers from horrible employees with bad attitude. Rude, slow, disinterested, slow, mumbling, and did I mention slooow? I could go on, but instead let me highlight only one week’s worth of attempting to order a simple onion bagel with cream cheese and lox. Oh wait, they don’t have onion… make it sesame, then. You’re out? Fine, an «everything» bagel then. (Lox, for Einstein’s employees and others who are unfamiliar, is smoked salmon. I feel I need to define it.) Day 1: Can I get an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox? With what? Lox? We don’t have any. Day 2: Can I get an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox? We don’t have lox. Ever? I don’t know. Day 3: Can I get an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox? The fish is still frozen. Day 4: Can I get an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox? You mean noble lox? What? Noble lox? Unhhh…oh, do you mean nova lox? Noble lox. Fine. Day 5: Can I get an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox? We’re not carrying that any more. What, lox? Yeah. But you made me one with lox yesterday! Sorry. Day 6: Can I get an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox? (No answer, begins to make a bagel instead. 10 minutes later: «somebody order a bagel with noble lox?») Thanks. Day 7: Can I get an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox? Ok. (10 minutes later, received a bagel with cream cheese and lox, but also tomatoes, onions, and capers. I was told«that’s what you ordered.») Oy.

My go to place for breakfast and coffee before work if I didn’t pack my own. Their bagels are nice and fresh and they have a good selection of cream cheeses aka ‘schmear’. I am not too adventurous with my bagels so usually get the plain or wheat, but when it gets toasted, the outside is nice and crispy with a soft inside. I’ve also gotten hot chocolate and chai tea from here — nothing special. They put milk then stick it in the microwave. The staff does goof off sometimes like the previous reviewers mentioned, but I haven’t had to wait an absurd amount of time for my food.

Not sure what the complaints are about in the other reviews. The food is standard, the service is okay. I have never gotten a bagel, muffin, sandwich, or coffee here that didn’t meet my expectations. True there are cheaper options in the hospital, but when you’re in a rush and don’t want to trek elsewhere, swing by for a morning pick me up

Wow. Did I really just pay $ 4 bucks for a dry, old tasting bagel with barely any cream cheese on it? What a disappointment when you order something you think would be a non-fail since it is in the title! Go to The Daily Grind instead because the bagels are cheaper by 2 bucks and you get a decent amount of cream cheese. Like previous reviewed said. Avoid.

Quite possibly the worst food establishment I have ever visited. The staff do not care — they would rather quarrel among themselves than take an order. A four person line might take over 30 minutes given the service. Luckily, there are other establishments at the hospital food court; I just wish there were another location serving bagels in the morning.
