El Gran Pollo

Their chicken is delicious! I love the sauces on the side as well. Ordered the chicken gyro, however they use the charbroiled chicken for it. The yellow sauce is creamy and delicious, the green sauce is spicy with a kick, and the red sauce has a slight spice to it. Honestly I couldn’t really tell what all were in the sauces because I took no time to devour my food. I’ll go back and try their sides next time.

Holy four letter word that was delish! I was in need of grub near work and was lucky to find this place thanks to Unilocal!It’s in a shopping center and easy to park. The restaurant is pretty big and has an ice cream station up front with Hershey’s ice cream. The place is clean and pretty with this glitter thing on the wall. The staff was nice and greeted me right away. The menu is huge so I can try a lot of different things! Today I got the ¼ white meat chicken with plantains and fried rice. It was really, really good. The chicken juicy, flavorful and hot! The sides were pretty perfect too. Excited to find this place!

The Peruvian specialties were delicious! The service is friendly, helpful, and fast. Lots of menu items to choose from, we’ll be coming back to try more.

Chaufa — ⁵⁄₅ — very good. Love mixing the sauces on it
Vegetables — ³⁄₅ — I like they had a large variety of vegs in the mix. Needs seasoning.

Good stuff, and good friendly people working there. I dropped in on a humble as I was headed home. I told them it was my first time and the welcomed me… Gave me a sample to try and I was sold (on the chicken)! Try it out!

I will come here after a crappy day at work or a shitty date or any number of reasons and the food works its magic and instantly puts me in a great mood:-). How could you not be when you’re eating probably the best chicken, rice and beans in the Baltimore area.

Stumbled across this restaurant. WOW! It will «stumble» quite often. Very flavorful and excellent portion.

If I ever met a woman who could cook like this for me, I would be IN LOVE! 5 stars! Outstanding! The flavor of the chicken was amazing! I’ve been eating food for a long time, believe me when I write this, this food is shockingly good. I can’t wait to go back!

Large servings and great food. Reminded me of home. It was delicious and filling. Can’t wait to come back and try their ceviche!

This place brings me SO much joy. I go here all the time and I always get the same thing, a half dark Peruvian chicken plate with string beans and onions, plantains and four of the little yellow sauces. The chicken is savory and rich. Oh my goodness! And they are quick. Are you hungry and want a fast good meal without having to go to a fast food restaurant? Come in and grab a plate. Good luck waiting until you get home to eat it! They also have a really yummy salad mix you can use as a side and potatoes and carrot. The fried tilapia is also delish. There is also a fresh fish meal that is served cold, not sure what the name of it was but even that was delish! I often get takeout but it is also spacious and comfortable to eat in. The staff is very nice! I can’t say enough good things about this place. Don’t let the front door fool you! It’s a good food oasis.

The chicken tastes absolutely phenomenal! The seasoning was just perfect and very tasty. I got half chicken (white meat), some type of fried rice, beans and fried yuca. Everything was very good.
The place was pretty much empty so I don’t know how the service would be when it’s busy but the staff was very attentive and they really looked happy to have you there. I will definitely return to this place.

Excellent Peruvian chicken. No disappointment here. And the Ahi (green sauce) was better than most places. Great food at a great price.

Got the ¼ chicken dark with green beans and potatoes and it was AMAZING! It comes with their own little cups of different sauces which were just as AMAZING! Price was totally reasonable.

We just stumbled on this place but it is Awesome! Definitely try the chicken and lomo saltado. Also the anticucho is delicious! We will be back!

Randomly stopped here to eat while doing a few things for work. Wow! It was amazing. I had the camarones a la parilla. If you like shrimp, I definitely recommend it. Fast service too!

This place is a gem in a strip mall. By the way, another gem is 2 doors down at America’s Best Wings, which doesn’t have a Unilocal listing. I’ve had Peruvian style chicken in some of the most popular spots, but this chicken here is the most moist and flavorful I have had. The sides are quite succulent as well, especially the plantains and the green beans. Do not leave without trying the fried rice. The dish is called pollo chaufa. Order it! It’s better than any Chinese fried rice! It is fresh, no grease, all flavor. Not only is the food great the service is friendly and the dining room is clean, spacious and welcoming. It’s a welcoming place to have an affordable, hearty meal dine in or take out. About the environment: Sure, the clientele of the shopping center are Black and Hispanic working class folks. You don’t have to be to enjoy the great food. We don’t bite, ha ha. Sure there are some police outside for security. If you think about it, that makes it a safe place to eat and the police sure seem to enjoy the food. Sure there are people speaking Spanish there, step out side your English-​centric world and enjoy the hospitality and great cooking of some very friendly people. It’s a great place to grab lunch or dinner — take out or dine in!

I nearly lost my mind when I saw a Peruvian chicken spot opened up so close to my house! I normally had to travel to Eastern Ave for my fix. Very good flavor on chicken. Great décor to sit in and dine.

Clean New just opened this year. Please come and support because the food is really good. The rotisserie chicken is cooked slowly over a bed of charcoal. The sides are flavored very well. I had the grilled lamb. delicious!!!
