Randi is an amazing stylist and a wonderful person :) she is fantastic at haircuts, even on styles that really test a hairdresser’s skill. I’ve had short hair all my life and I’m very picky about stylists, but Randi is very skilled and experienced and leaves me with a cut that looks great all the way through, even eight weeks later. She is also really comfortable with many different kinds of hair textures and is great at making sure your haircut suits your face and lifestyle(for example, I am often really lazy and want my hair to look cute even if I just ran out the door after waking up)! Even though I had only been going to her for a few months beforehand, I followed her from Neal’s to Fells Point Salon, which is a little farther away where I live, because she is totally worth going to see. She’s also a really cool person and I’m really glad to know her!

If you are new to the town and wondering about where you can get your hair cut done-Randy is the best pick. Reading all the reviews on Unilocal– I have tried my Haircut with Randy. She is amazing and understanding. I prefer someone who can be conservative about the length of my hair and at the same time give me the style I want. Randy was awesome at understanding my requirements and she gave me the hair cut I like.

Randi has been my stylist for 4 years and in that time, my hair has thrived. Randi does not just color/cut your hair. She understands what your hair needs to look & perform at its best. She gives advice & recommendations and has never led me wrong. In Randi I have found not only a hair stylist but a complete beauty consultant! I recently followed Randi to the Fells Point Salon from Neals in Mt Vernon(which is a block from where I live). I admit I was not excited about going from a 1 block walk to a couple mile drive, but what I have in Randi was just too valuable to overlook. I am very happy with my decision. This salon is very friendly & comfortable and the parking has never been the issue I thought it would be! I highly recommend Randi if you are looking for a new stylist who really takes the time(and has the expertise) to understand the individual needs of her clients.

I stopped in today because I was looking for a change, and I’m glad I did. Darren was amazing! I showed him a picture of a girl with bangs, and he did such a spot on job! Drastic hair changes always make me nervous, but Darren knew what he was doing! Everything from the shampoo to the finishing touches turned out great. The salon felt very Baltimore and was extremely welcoming. I can’t say enough great things about the job Darren did — I will absolutely be back!

I recently followed my stylist Randi from Neal’s in Mt. Vernon to Fells Point Salon at Spa Glyka and, while I would follow her anywhere, the new location is wonderful — really friendly owner, easy-going bright shiny atmosphere. The location is a little less convenient for me, but Randi is worth the trek and the salon is right in the middle of all that Fells Point has to offer. For anyone looking for a new stylist, go to Randi. She takes the time to understand the peculiarities of each person’s hair and gives you the meticulously crafted cut you want and need. I’ve referred friends of all different hair types to her(curly, straight, thick, and thin) and they’ve all come back. The new spa also offers waxing, threading, massage, etc — haven’t tried any of it, but looking forward to it in future!

I don’t want to rate this place at all. and if I rate I would give negative review. I had the worse experience ever. I had an extention and it was glued and they told me that they can remove the extention because they have license but guess what the woman name Nina used acetone for plastic nails on my hair and most of my hair on the left side fell off disregard she charges $ 75 per hour and the glue never came off because she was using the nail polish remover on my hair!!! like you are using a cream for foot on your face. After an hour and half she brought the real actual solution to dissolve the glue and it was working but unfortionatly after losing alot of hair then she decided to use her expenisve product that she didnot use at the begining disregard that was passed already two hours. I paid $ 300 for damaging my hair and then I realized after I got back to see my friend that Nina cut alot of hair in the back. I’m really upset and really mad. Don’t even try trust someone who tells that they have license in something when they just want your money and they don’t give fuck about your hair!!! I also have pictures of my lost hair.

The best facial in town! I’ve been lots of places over the years and by far, Diane Younger, is terrific and her facials are a GREAT value. She uses top quality products that are appropriate for your skin type and age. Highly recommend giving her a try.

Had a friend who went previously and LOVED what Mary did with her hair. So I made an appointment with Mary, which was confirmed the following day. I arrived at the salon and there was no Mary present, so Brandon was taking my appointment. At this point I was already skeptical because I think it’s rude if someone is specifically requested to not tell your client. I went in for an ombré type hairstyle but I wanted it natural brown– EXACTLY like the picture I provided. Bleach was used with no toner or dye used. There were blonde streaks all the way up to my ROOTS. The bleach the next day radiated orange. And on top of it all there were bleach stains all down the back of my shirt, which was brand new. Price: $ 155 with a $ 20 tip. Called back for a refund(at least for my shirt). Took them four days to return my call and no refund provided. Seriously, just avoid this place at all costs.

I want to start by saying I’m generally not very picky about my haircuts so I tend to go here because it is fast. I almost always do walk-ins here and take whichever stylist is available. Most of the time it’s pretty simple, cut off the dead ends, add in some layers… probably 3 – 4 stars. This time I got my hair cut by the gentleman with the blue hair(I never caught his name). I love it. If I wasn’t moving out of town in a month I would absolutely convert from walk ins to actually scheduling my appointments with this stylist. He gave me layers that gave my hair a lot more body and it looks great curly and straight. I highly recommend the stylist with blue hair.

I went to this place because I found them online and they had good reviews. I went down on a Sunday for a buzz cut. No frills, really simple, should be pretty uneventful right? Wrong. The young man — Brandon I think his name is — was really rough with my hair and head. I ended up with a bruised spot on the top of my head because of his rough treatment. It was tender for at least two days. When he would trim around my ear he was really rough and now I have marks behind my ears where he pushed the clippers too hard into my head. I wasn’t sure at first if his rough treatment would leave any marks, but lo and behold a coworker made a comment that I have marks behind my ears resembling clipper bites. On a less serious note, I had to clean up my own haircut because I found three long hairs that weren’t even cut — they were the original length previous to my haircut. I cannot sit there and accept that because I have course hair my hear/head needs abuse and lack of attention to detail. I normally tip very well, like very well. Usually 50% of whatever haircut that I get because I know that this can be a difficult and often thankless job. That said, I still tipped Brandon $ 2 because I’m a nice guy, even though my head and behind each ear were tender. I am not sure what is the deal with this place, if they are just mean to men’s hair or what the case may be, but this treatment was awful and if I could give less than 1 star I would. I read through the other reviews of this place and it’s what made me come here. I hear great things about Nina, Mary, and Tammy so who is this Brandon guy? Why did he treat me poorly? Will something be done about this? Furthermore, as if all of this wasn’t enough I noticed his below standard attitude towards me in general. I felt like he treated me like a sheep that needed its yearly shearing. I felt terrible in this place. I felt like — through no fault of my own — I was being discriminated against for a reason that I cannot discern. Let me just say that if I conducted myself like this at my career position I would immediately be fired. This is coming from a professional government employee with an advanced education and positive standing. Brandon really needs to fix his attitude. Maybe it was a slip up, maybe it was just me, but Brandon is supposedly a professional that graduated from cosmetology school and as a professional he should put his best face on 100% of the time. I will inform my coworkers — that number in the thousands and work all across the USA — that when they need a haircut here in Baltimore don’t go to Fells Point Salon. You did this business a major disservice, Brandon.

If you’re looking for wedding hairstylists I wouldn’t suggest this place. The stylists wouldn’t «fix» the bridesmaids hair. The styles were just a bunch of small curls when I wanted something completely different. Brides should also go elsewhere. I had an ok experience, the people are very nice there but my hairstyle was nothing like the picture I wanted. Very mediocre for a salon is such a busy part of town. One of my bridesmaids was in tears cause they completely screwed up her hair. It took an HOUR for one girl to get her make up done so the others couldn’t even start. Save your money. With the complaints they still charged everyone toward $ 70 and I just wanted them to have a blow-out. Also, they charge you a fee to use your credit card.

I am eternally grateful to Fells Point Salon for helping with a home peci/mani last minute. My god mother who is terminally ill woke up wanting a pedi/mani bc we had talked about it previously. My Aunt cant leave the house, so I had to try and find someone to come to the house and do a mani/pedi for her one last time. Anna from the salon said she would do it(on her day off at that) and she did! She was so amazing with my Aunt and loving. She took her time and really showed her huge heart that day. This is the place to go for all of your beauty needs. Not only are they all very skilled at what they do-THEY HAVEHUGEHEARTS! Thank you thank you thank you!

I’m returning to update my review for the eyebrow waxing that I had today. She was very careful about applying the wax, removing the wax and calming my eyes. It was followed up with a soothing gel and a tweeze to clean up any extra hairs. I left with just the right amount of eyebrow and it was a great price too. I’ll be back again!

Nina is Awesome! I have been going to her for all my hair needs for 10 years now. Always leave with a smile. Everyone at the shop is friendly and professional. The mani/pedis are the best. Prices are great. Never had better treatment and I have very hard hair to manage, curly and course. But Mina always make it smooth and silky.

I have been going to Nina for cut and color ever since I moved to Baltimore and she does a fantastic job every time. I also sometimes get my hair done by her sister Mary who also does a wonderful job, but who is leaving the salon soon :( I always get compliments on my hair, and was even complimented by another stylist when getting an updo at an out of town wedding about what a strong cut and beautiful color job I had. They really do a top notch job and their prices are beyond reasonable. I recommend this salon to every one I come across… including you!

Every four to six weeks, my hair takes a life of its own and it can be a messy sight. Nina, the owner of Fells Point Salon at Spa Glyka, and her team of professional hair stylists, use smiles, cheeriness, clippers, scissors and other stylist tools to make their customers look their best. Spa Glyka, is Nina’s newest neighborhood shop and it offers a pretty good setup for walk-in haircuts. Located in the heart of Fells Point, you just walk in, put your name on the list, go for a nice stroll and stop back in when it’s your turn. I first stumbled upon the original Fells Point Salon in 2007 and discovered they cut hair for men too. Spa Glyka even offers limited Sunday hours! Fells Point Salon at Spa Glyka charges reasonable prices and Nina and her team always take the time to make sure you appreciate your latest hair style.
