Much better! So, I’ve been to this place twice. Both times, I was disappointed. From the outside, it looks so dated. But it’s always crowded so I figured I’d give it a try. The first time, we got there early enough to get a seat in the bar. We ordered a dozen crabs(mixed) and got TWO males, TEN females. The service was very slow. The bar began to fill up, and once that happened, we couldn’t get service at all. We had to wait an additional hour just to get our ticket from our server, so we could pay and leave. The second time, we sat in the dining area. The food was okay. JUST okay. I was working through it, when I did notice that my plate had a weird way of staying on the table. It was kind of stuck somehow. Then I lift up the plate to find a WADOFGUM stuck to the bottom of it! So yeah… I think we’re done here. Not sure if I’ll be back, if ever.

— I came here on a random Wednesday night and it was PACKED. The only available seats were at the bar with out backs to the karaōke stage. Did I mention it was karaōke night? Lol. It was hilarious. Good clean fun. Solid drinks and I was convinced to try the Old Bay seasoned wings. I could eat 100 of them. They were THAT good. The crab dip was incredible as well! It was like Mom and Grandma were back there fixing our plates! This place is certainly unique, energetic and I’ll definitely come back here.

Yikes!!! Ok I love trying new odd places and here was one that went sour. First the goods. The crab cake is, well, good not great. The pork chop was tasty but a little over cooked. They pour a strong drink. They had a Neato décor and mixed fruit sangria. The bads. Our waitress came to us with a stricken look. Kinda of an «oh hell the kitchen is killing me tonight» or «why the hell did management not call another server??» I think she tried but honestly the service was slowwwwwwww. Took 30 minutes to get a drink. The food… over an hour. And it was saddening. Because I wanted to really love this place. We came on a Thursday after baseball practice down the street. My boy was starving and we needed a quickish meal. Bummer. We got home late late late. Not sure my wife will let me give this another try and there are other cool similar places in the area that are local owned too but put attention toward the staffing. Pappas and Koko’spub come to mind.

The crab balls and drinks are delicious. This is a nice chill spot. It gets crowded pretty fast. So go early to get a table… I normally go here to watch a football or basketball game. It is cool for a little bit of dancing too. The dance floor is very small, but it is never really alot of people on the dance floor at the same time unless a line dancing song is playing…

Food good but not enough waiters!!! It took foreverrrrr to get our food during happy hour. We told her we wanted separate checks but she put everything on one check and took over 40 mins to give us our bank cards back smh next time I’m bringing cash

I need to leave Harford County more often to enjoy this«home». I swear I feel like I’m at home! Retired military officer, I’ve eaten all kinds of food, all over the world, greasy spoons, diners, upscale retardants, cafés, «Inns», eatery’s, whatever and Hazelwood Inn rocks! Does not matter what you order it’s going to be good to great, and please don’t be stuck up, come with a sense of humor… actually if you are having a bad day, these people will make you smile! That’s the way they are. Thank you Theresa for caring for our family of 14 tonight! You’re the greatest! Saga po, para poli!

Atmosphere is definitely 30 and olde crowd, which depending on your mood can be good or bad. Food is good! I usually go for the crab cake and salad. I love there ranch dressing! Sangrias are delicious but don’t except a buzz

I would like to take a minute to give a shout out to Hazelwood for the quality customer service & accommodation that they provided my party of 15 – 20 people on short notice. When we received poor customer service at another restaurant where we had planned to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, We contacted Hazelwood(on short notice) to see if they could accommodate us. After speaking with Yiota, it was no problem for our party to come there. It worked out great; the food was great(as it usually is) and they even gave my girlfriend a complimentary bottle of sangria. They have made a new customer out of me and I would recommend anyone to give them a try.

Not really sure why people rave about this place at all. Maybe I just went on an off night. Happy hour from 11am-7pm. I got there about 5 minutes after 7(sit wherever you want) so you may want to get there a little earlier to get a seat. The waiter immediately took our order and gave us the happy hour prices anyway. Bonus. However, that’s where the«good» ended. We ordered 1 ½ dozen of crabs($ 1 crab night) order of jerk bites, crab dip and mushroom caps. The crabs came first, maybe 10 minutes later. Being the avid crab eaters we are, we already knew that the fact they came so fast that something was going to be wrong. And we were right. They were cold, not freezing but not warm or hot. We didn’t realize this until the server had already dumped them off the tray and onto the table. Once we realized it we told the waiter and he said the only thing that he could do was take them back and re-steam them. No, sir, I’d rather not have you scrape my crabs off the table and re-steam them. I’ll just take one for the team and eat them as is. The mushroom caps were full and pretty good as was the crab dip. However the jerk bites were little chicken balls tossed in what they tried to pass off as jerk sauce but I swear it looked and tasted more like red chili sauce with maybe a hint of jerk seasoning sprinkled on them. For some reason I feel like we just got served the short end of the stick this time so I will return for a second chance and will probably have to update this review at that time.

Sat down for over 20 minutes no one even came over. Then they don’t give any free soda refills but want a 15% gratuity. They put anything in the hood and take advantage .will never go there again

I’ve lived in Rosedale for over 3 years and just went to this place a few months ago. I’m so bummed that my fiancé and I hadn’t come here sooner! A good family restaurant that you can take just about anyone to and everyone can find something on the menu they like. A few things… A) Portions are ENORMOUS. Fiancé got chicken marsala and it was three whole chicken breasts. His parents got fish entrees and each came with 3 full filets. It’s insane. You WILL have leftovers(unless you’re me and get crab cakes or soft shell crabs which I will devour in one whole bite.) B) Owners and servers are very friendly. They really want you to come back here and the good service makes that an easy thing to do. C) Food is really good in general. Desserts are awesommmme. Finally, the menu is gigantic at this place. It’s hard to look at the whole thing. They always have specials which I think are really good.

What do I like about Hazelwood Inn? Everything! My favorite go to is the crabcake platter. First off, it’s a really nice sized JUMBOLUMP crabcake… ANNNNNNDDD it comes with TWO sides! The best part is it’s under $ 15! Maybe I’m cheap, but I feel like a winner everytime because many places charge over $ 20, and their crabcake is not always as big. Drinks are always good and reasonably priced. I had the Strawberry Peach sangria on my most recent visit and loved it. Happy Hour here makes the already reasonable prices even better. **Note: I normally venture in during the week on the bar side.**

Dined at the Hazelwood Inn this past Sunday and what a great experience! We were seated in a timely fashion. The restaurant itself is very pretty and the waitstaff was great. We had a really great waitress who was very attentive to our needs and even recommended a few dishes. This was important since there were 11 of us. I ordered the broiled seafood trio with the grilled broccoli(a must try) and a peach and red wine sangria. My meal was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend dining at the Hazelwood Inn. You won’t be disappointed. I’m already making plan to visit again.

However You get a lot for your Money sian the Drink category. The Bartenders Really serve it Up!!! We had a Round of Tequila Shots and they did not disappoint.

This spot seems a bit aged, which is never a problem for me, it has nice Home feel to it. There are three parts, sounds crazy but, there is a main dining area, they have what seems to be a liquir store and the bar area, which i where i have dined in. I went for happy hour with a couple of friends, and i had the Apple martini, which was pretty good, the part that made me a fan was hands down the Crab dip — AMAZING! Maybe because im from NY i never had that before, but yes it is the reason why i will return! The Lemon pepper wings are really good as well. Since i am a newbie in Maryland, it is hard for me to find places i like, but this was good. The one thing that annoyed me was that the staff didnt come around too often to ask you about your food, if you needed additional drinks etc. Great place though!

Club sandwich platter to go. Nice deal, great sandwich– a bunch of fries. Could the portion of cole slaw be any smaller though? It’s one of those little plastic containers you normally get dressing in. Really who hates cabbage that much? Still needs Restaurant Impossible — Robert Ervine where are you?
