I recommend the lamb curry specials. They are DABOMB. They are served with salad, rice, vegetables and delicious fresh naan. Just go there. This is a special place. Would definitely both repeat and recommend.

Best Pakistani food I’ve ever had! I never liked chickpeas until I had them here. I recommend the chicken tika masala. It’s to die for! Their garlic nan is also great. Service is always fast and friendly and they’re open late which is awesome. A must try in canton square, sooo good! If it’s your first time trying Pakistani try the boneless chicken kabob platter.

Super delicious food, and the staff are very very nice. It’s right on Canton square, geared more toward take-out than eat-in(though there are tables if you choose to do so!) so it’s the perfect opportunity to grab your food and picnic in the square or in the waterfront park. All of the sides are delicious(especially the chana masala) and the chicken tikka masala and vegetable samosas are a personal favorite. Basically, you can’t go wrong with any option. I’ve had the food delivered through grubhub a few times and it tastes just as good. Naan comes with the meals so don’t order the side unless you want double naan!

This place is soooo good! We get take out all the time, and have catered from them for a party– the food was unanimously loved. The dishes are authentic and perfectly flavored. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore, and by far the best place to get desi food!

Based on the kind of diningware they use(standard 3 compartment styrofoam plates) for dine-in, I’d say it’s like another alternative for Maiwand Kabob. Like, imagine you’re pining for a kabob/Indian food flavor. There’s Maiwand, and if you want additional options or a slightly different shade of that flavor, there’s Jasa Kabob. The price and quantity is almost similar. It’s about $ 9 – 12 for their meat specials, about $ 9 – 10 for veggie specials. You get a big piece of naan, a green sauce, choice of a side(chickpeas, dal, spinach) and a iceberg lettuce salad. You can swap the salad for another side if you want. Their sides are ready-made and they can scoop it straight out of warmed buffet compartments behind the counter. I like how the rice is unique and tastes delicious when piping hot. The spinach is also not as «cheesy» as the typical palak paneer in most Indian restaurants. It’s actually more organic tasting and cooked with potatoes. I ordered the chicken jalfrazi and it had a pungent odor but tasted very good. Fresh, white meat. The lamb was not grilled and kind of gamey, but I’m biased since I usually like my lamb grilled halal-cart style.

This place absolutely blew my mind. The chicken tikka masala was the best I’ve ever had. If you are in between places and can’t decide where to go in the square, go get jasa cabob. Unreal.

Ordered samosas they were ok, and I had their plater combo of chicken, beef, and lamb. I think the beef was decent, chicken ok, and the lamb was a bit tough. It comes with rice, a green chutney or whatever and a vegetable(potatoes and spinach) –more like a slice of potato lol). I ate the potato, couldnt care for the spinach. Will go there again to try their kabob wrap or somin.

This place is expensive but the Food is Great. And the portions are huge. A great authentic restaurant in Canton and they do Delivery. I’ve never been inside so I won’t comment on that. But I can tell you that the Lamb is Amazing.

Where do I start. I was a Canton resident for 4 years, in walking distance to the Square. When I discovered Jasa, it was all I could do to not eat there every day. It’s a flavor paradise. Middle Eastern food gets a lot of its clout for having big flavors… but there is an important distinction here — this food is cooked with a deft hand that knows its way around a professional kitchen. Spice is one thing, but execution is so terribly lacking in a lot of middle eastern restaurants in Baltimore, Columbia, etc etc. Let me run down a few of my favorites. 1. The rice. Whatever dish you get generally comes with rice. I’m fairly certain it is mixed with ghee and toasted cumin, but there is even something further I cannot identify… and whatever it is has made this rice the most ridiculously good rice I’ve ever eaten. Long grain wild, aromatic, perfectly salted. It’s rice, I know… but good lawd. I’ve thought about applying for a job there just to figure it out. 2. The naan. It’s so fluffy. It’s so huge. It’s so moist(TRIGGERED). 3. Saag Paneer. Middle Eastern cuisine makes going vegetarian a breeze(in my opinion, that is). The Saag Paneer is so on point. The cheese cubes are large and plentiful, and they are wonderfully seared(like they’re supposed to be… how do most Indian spots forget to do this?), and the spinach is sweet, salty, earthy, creamy goodness. It’s the hotness. 4. Lamb Kabob. It’s amazing. They don’t overcook it. That seems like a minor point, but it’s not. Go to another middle eastern spot and get a lamb kabob, and as your teeth fight through that beef jerky on a stick, remember Jasa, and repent for your sins. Tender, flavorful, huge cubes… perfectly seasoned and cooked. 5. Chicken Tikka Masala. The dish needs no introduction, and they nail it. And its over the aforementioned rice w/naan… c’mon guys. Those are just some highlights. The whole menu is absurdly good for a place that I don’t hear much about for whatever reason. Prices are quite reasonable, just above chipotle/five guys range. It’s stuck in a bar area with cats that are more inclined to drink 36 bud heavies at El Buf than enjoy a fire meal, so maybe that’s the issue. To top it all off — the owner is there often and is so friendly. He remembers customers by name and watches football in the shop. Either way… go there, get anything and everything, enjoy your life that much more. If you don’t like bold flavor or find even a sprinkle of black pepper too spicy… this place may not be perfect for you… but you should still go there just to be in the presence of greatness. It’s like an opportunity to witness Jordan play — you don’t have to like basketball. I’ve moved to California and, no kidding, Jasa is the #1 thing I miss about Baltimore. It haunts my dreams. Do it for you. Do it for me. Now I’m hungry. Final notes: — Sunday the veggie special is Saag Paneer and the meat special is Chicken Tikka Masala. Get them and eat them. — I am not a huge fan of the chicken curry, only in the sense that a better plate of food can be had(like a kabob). The curry is made with thighs(which I appreciate), but it just doesn’t have the OMG flavor of most of the other dishes. — If you’re feeling frisky, get the goat.

I have never dined in, as its more convenient to order through EAT24 or Grubhub but Jasa’s food is ONPOINT. The tandoori chicken, with spicy chickpeas is nom nom nom. The food is always delivered so fresh and so quickly. I can’t rave enough about how delicious the food is here. If you think you don’t like Indian food, I recommend you give Jasa a try. I have a feeling you might newly covert to eating Indian food on the reg!

I think this place does a LOT more delivery/take-out orders compared to dine-in. The space itself only has one shared«bench» area that might fit 4 – 5 people, and then a small barstool area with 2 – 3 chairs. That’s it! But the food is absolutely delicious here. I would recommend it for delivery and take-out. It has always been delivered hot! They have a spinach/potato side that is spicy and delicious. I also love their daily specials. They are fairly generous with their portions, and lunch specials come with a really large naan bread that is usually great. However, the regular naan is really bland and unseasoned so use it as a dipping tool for curries/sauces!

Jasa is an unassuming, hole-in-the-wall gem with great food and friendly people. The menu is simple, the food is solid, and the portions are extremely generous. Two of us shared chicken samosas(order of 2) and a platter of Achar Gosht(spicy lamb curry), which came with(an enormous) naan, rice, salad, green chutney and creamed spinach and potatoes. We even had leftovers! The chicken samosas are probably some of the best that I’ve had. The outside fried pastry was light, flaky, and not too oily, and the chicken curry filling was savory. The lamb was tender, creamy, spicy, and delicious. The remaining components of the platter were nothing out of the ordinary, but still paired well with our whole meal, which only cost us about $ 15! Jasa also has daily meat and veggie specials. We went on Saturday, and I’m looking forward to venturing to this spot to try out other daily specials!

I ordered the falafel wrap, ras masal, and lamb kabob(a la carte). The lamb kabob was delicious! I can’t get over how tasty it was, but a little dry, but I think that’s expected. The falafel wrap was very tightly wrapped and I felt it was very dry. I wish I had some tatziki sauce or something other than the green sauce with it. I’m curious to try their tikka masala or other more Indian dishes.

Great chicken tikka masala and an extensive menu(vegetarian-friendly). The place is a bit small but there’s plenty of nice seating outside in the nearby park if the weather is nice.

Very good for take out — quality food, fast, and friendly service. The food is really affordable. I had the chicken gyro which was extremely filling and very juicy. I liked the chickpeas and rice that came with my wrap — so flavorful and yummy! I’m not sure that it’s the best middle eastern /Indian food I have ever had, but the price and portions are definitely worth it, and perfect for an early dinner in the square.

Last Wednesday, I had the pleasant experience of having a free dinner at Johns Hopkins medical school. Everything I tried(biryani, chicken kebab, beef kebab, saag paneer, and chicken karhai) was so fresh and tasty, and that is quite commendable, given that food was made for over 100 people. The biryani was on the spicy side, and naan was dryish, but these are minor complaints. After this meal, I felt so calm and happy. I decided to ask the organizers where it was from. They said«Jasa Kebab». At first, I thought they said«just a kebab». Then when they repeated, I understood it as «Jalsa Kebab». Finally, Unilocal told me It’s Jasa. I still don’t know what Jasa even means, but now that I at least have the right name, I’ll definitely try to come in.

Ordered Jasa(pronounced«yasa») Kabob for pick up for lunch. I love that this place is locally owned because the owner was willing to let me pick up an order before the restaurant actually opened. Props for accommodating customers! Food items: –The chicken kabob wrap was tasty with juicy halal chicken accompanied by lettuce and onions wrapped in an amazing house made naan/pita. As everyone knows, a wrap in a pits is all about the pita… and this was perfection-thin crispy outside with a chewy pillowy center. Loved! –The hummus was creamy goodness and comes with a generous side of naan –Falafel wrap was not that great… pretty average for falafel. Would stick with the chicken wrap. –The babaganoush was really nothing special, but not bad. Probably would not order it again, but don’t regret ordering it! Will definitely be returning for the naan and chicken kabob!

2÷22÷14 Straightforward inexpensive, tasty Indian/pakistani food. Jasa Kabob is little more than a carry out spot submersed in one of the busiest areas of Canton Square. However, their food quality makes it clear you don’t need linen table clothes and waiters to satisfy your craving for kabobs, chicken tikka masala or gulab jamun. I ventured in hungry and eager to be wowed. I’d heard a great deal about the awesomeness of the place but I was determined to be the judge of that. Initially, I was taken aback by the sparse carryout feel of the place. However, I quickly warmed up to the long tables which facilitated more of a communal style eating experience(a nice change from the typical«i’m eating here but I’m not going to communicate when anyone around me» atmosphere of most eating establishments. Then there’s the food… I used chicken tikka masala as my touchstone for all similar restaurant and it just so happened to be the special of the day. Tasty, but different than what I typically expect from tikka masala. I’m accustomed to the rich heavy creaminess of Akbar’s versopm(my first foray into Pakistani food). There’s was a great deal less heavy and creamy(not in a bad way, but in a way that made me less regretful for eating it). It also was more orange in color and sweeter. It was tasty but not my fav. The chicken, perfectly tender, juicy in the way Tikka should always be. The sauce was just not my pref. It came with a plethora of other tasty things… Chickpeas and naan where my choice. My partner in crime for the day had the Kabob special which was an expansive endeavor. IT smelled wonderful and she devoured it. After wandering all over the Canton square for the rest of the evening, memories of Jasa called to me when hunger reemerged. So, believe it or not… I ate there 2x in one day. ITISJUSTTODARNEASYANDTASTY! This time I ordered food for home. I got a falafel wrap(amazing), baba ghanouj(comes with naan, yum), gulab juman(this didn’t make it home, i had to have right then), and lamb kabob(amazingly yum, my husband destroyed). I will def continue to enjoy Jasa Kabob for it’s easy, quickness although being submersed in Canton square make it a bit of a bother trek across town for. But I know it’s there now… and i’m a happy person for that knowledge.
