I booked a 2 pm massage today. My massage therapist was wonderful but the massage started at 2:15 and ended at 2:59. I paid for an hour and got 45 min! If this is normal practice, I will not be returning.

Love the smell of essential oils when I arrive. Customer service at the front desk was great and courteous. Waiting room has coffee tea and water as a courtesy. Soft music plays through the rooms during the massage. I enjoyed my massage with Lisa she was nice and attentive to my trouble spots. Over all I have had a great experience every time I visited.

Let me start of by saying love this place! Now, the front desk is sometimes busy so I may take a couple of minutes to check in but Ursula always runs up front to see if I’m here at my appointment time. I come in and see Ursula once a month. She is always cheery, friendly, and attentive. She does an amazing massage and her energy is like no other. I told her I just wanted to relax. Not only did she relax me but she found spots that needed work and and gently removed the pain from those areas. I didn’t even know I had them! It was like I was floating on a cloud! I will admit I have been to many other Massage Envy location but she is my favorite. Can’t wait till next month!

I had a terrible experience here, from the service to the front desk to the manager. My husband and I used to live near the area and signed up for membership. When we received massages, the therapists were always late and cut the sessions short. The front desk was often vacant so we had to wait for a long time to get service. The management is not helpful either and very inflexible. Once you are a member, they have no motivation to keep you happy because they know that they have you for at least a year. PLEASE read the contract carefully before signing up. I would not recommend this location to anyone. If there was a choice for a no star rating or a negative star rating, I would have chosen that option.

UPDATE!!!, been asked for me contact information to resolve and have heard nothing!!! If that doesn’t prove my statements then I don’t know what does! I have had it — I have been trying to cancel this after being a member for years in Boston and now here. I have had such bad experiences lately, I didn’t make a 3 hour appt that I have plenty of credits for because my mother passed away — I didn’t have a clue what happened that day and I didn’t get a sorry or anything and they charged me for the massage and facial, as it was I am trying to get rid of points so I can close the account, I tried to transfer to family in Boston and NC and both times it got royally messed up — I had to call both locations cause they were blaming one another and sure enough the person in Baltimore — Pikesville was clueless. I agree with other reviews that it adds stress — just the walk out to the shocking bright light in the transition area, there is nothing subtle. and they are so jerky when you are trying to relax, I don’t want to say every person is this way — but I don’t understand why most of the good ones have left and how both locations are owned and managed by the same person and they have such different issues. At Federal Hill — I had someone sick sneezing and hacking all over me, she was nervous about a test and kept talking about it– what about I don’t like to talk don’t you understand? They seem to be later and later for he appointments now and I swear 3 times my name was called and I had no idea, my name is not that hard to pronounce. At FH, seems there is not in between massage, you have the choice of being karate chopped into a deep tissue which I hear is the best but I am not able to tolerate that do to a condition I have so I end up with the most passive and meek person who was so inexperienced she was surprised I wanted her to lower the light and turn down the blasting music. And many times the office folk make it really hard to help you resign, times are tough and I now I am sure have accumulated a bunch again. I am honestly sick and can’t have massages, I tried to explain this and was told well you cn have prenatal ones. What? That is when I just bit the bullet and made the 3 hour appt. I have dr from Hopkins to verify — I can’t be around the smells for facials — the one I had made me break out and I suffer from a nerve and muscle disease that doesn’t allow me to have massages. I would think since flight, gym memberships and a bunch of other things would credit you and let you go — they won’t cause in Boston 5 years ago I tried to — it wasn’t the exact place but very similar and customer service doesn’t work by forcing people — look at all the money you made off me I pay top dollar tips, bought lots of products and extra perks and the treatment I have gotten is ridiculous —

I have been a massage envy member for years. I really enjoy going weekly and I spend a lot of money there, I moved from Ohio and went to the pikes vile location. When I say worst massage ever that’s what I mean. I told her she was using no pressure and ignored me and continued to just lightly rub lotion on my back… after 20, minutes and many tears later I got up got dressed then tried to leave when the receptionist told me I wasn’t allowed to leave and that it was just a long day for my therapist and it was excusable… worst massage and customer service of my life… never go here you will have more knots when you leave then when you go there!

The massage itself was not bad at all. Cecily was very nice, confident, and did a good job. I give the massage itself a 5⁄5. The facility is nice and clean. Quiet. Parking is plentiful. Location is very convenient. 5⁄5. The front desk sucked. Talk about overbearing, and not in a good way. I wanted a one-time massage for my birthday, and I had three people jump on me like vultures about why«I shouldn’t have to think about» getting a membership. I do, actually. Not to get all Ricki Lake c. 1998 on them, but you don’t know my life, you don’t know my spirit; sit down, sit down. I have bills to pay and palms to grease. The pricing is not horrible IF you can afford it on a routine basis. I cannot. There’s also gratuity to consider, and I don’t tip 10% as I overheard someone at the desk mention to a caller as the minimum. After hearing all this for 20 minutes, they would not just take my money and let me leave. I went from feeling relatively relaxed to anxious within seconds. It’s difficult to believe you care about my health and wellness when you badger me to join for dang near 20 minutes and finally jump up and say«well, I gotta go change some sheets,» when I tell you I have to think it over(aka, I don’t want a subscription) for the 10th time and just want to pay and go. They should stop badgering potential clients. Now I never want to go back.

Ok so, do ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLl the brand new grads come here? This is my third visit here and another BRANDNEWGRAD. I dont know if the memberships will be worth the nervous hand feeling EVERYTIME I come. Darn membership!!! You pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Not that I am calling anyone an animal, but pay some decent wages to get experienced staff!

I initially got a massage envy membership a few years ago and have paid a monthly fee for almost 3 years. Today, I made an appointment at 10AM and had to cancel at 3PM because my puppy was sick and they charged me a cancellation fee. I told them I had an emergency and that I had made the appt just a few hours before, but this was of no consequence to them — they charged me for a one hour session. They were also rude and dismissive of my needs. I have been here before as well since my membership started at a different location and I asked for a massage therapist that was able to do deep tissue, but they gave me someone that was barely able to dig in and the whole time I just kept asking and wishing for deeper muscle penetration, which stressed me out more than anything. Unfortunately, I still have prepaid massages to use before I could cancel my membership as I would lose them if I were to just cancel so I have to return here since it is the closest location to my house since I moved. I hope I can find another location that’s convenient.

The front desk is horrendous. It appears that they do not go out of their way to accomodate you at the front desk. I understand it is a «chain» but we pay a monthly membership fee for 2 people monthly. We have a specific massage therapist that we like to see each time we go. When I called to make an appt for our massage therapists, I was told that she was not available. I mentioned that our therapists wanted her contact off-site to see if she could accomodate us. No Follow-up. No return phone call. I called back later that day and requested another appointment time and got one. They claim that therapist had not returned their call. Guess what? THEYNEVERCALLEDHER. If you have a specific massage therapist at this location — put your foot down and book that person. FIVESTARS for the massage therapists, Cecile.
