Mt Vernon Cleaners

Um I recently had a stain taken out of a shirt. Unfortunately when I got there, there was still a stain. (Did the staff really not check this before handing my defective item that I ALREADY PAID FOR back to me?!) So they are re-​doing the removal. Okay… but why didn’t you get this right the first time… So I made an special trip there, hoping to take back the shirt. But seriously?! Why didn’t you call me to tell me ahead of time? Seriously. Unprofessional.
Also they are proudly the FIRST dry cleaners ever to shrink my suits. Fantastic. I’ve been to oh 5 – 7 dry cleaners in the area, and I have never ever had a suit shrunken. Until now.
Also parking is very difficult. You have to walk, or stressfully park in the «No Stopping Anytime – will be towed area.» (Wait, am I not supposed to park there? Ha ha.)
I want to like this place as it is so conveniently located. But seriously? No. Absolutely not. I want to like this place because I like supporting fellow minorities businesses in the area. But no, I can’t. Dude my suits are expensive and I CANNOT have them ruined by incompetent cleaners. (Come to think of it, I should have complained to them and asked for a refund when I first found out.)
NO. NO. NO. Stay away. I’m usually not picky with dry cleaners and I ALREADY HAVE given them a second chance, but no. Sorry, but no.

Have been a regular now for a few months. The owner is great. Fast. Great work on cleaning and repair of clothes. Upgraded to five stars!!!

Good place — kind, consider service and one of the only places around with next day pick up (as long as you drop it off before a certain time — I call ahead to ask for the latest drop off time when I need next day). They also have a 3 for the price of 2 piece deal on Tuesdays and Thursdays I believe.

I was in need of a quick dry cleaning for my 2 piece suit and also needed the sleeves of my jacket to be shortened. I came in on a Friday and was greetly with a smile and friendly service. The owner was a sweet Korean lady who measured my sleeves and where it should be. I paid a total of $ 39 I think for dry cleaning and alterations. I needed it ASAP and as promised I had my cleaned and altered suit the following Thursday afternoon. It fit amazingly! I rocked the suit to a friend’s wedding the next day and it felt like a brand new suit.
I highly recommend this place. It may be a little more expensive than other places but I think its worth it.

Just picked up my first order, and the service from beginning to end was top notch. Same woman behind the counter both times, and she was funny, nice, and helpful on pick up and drop off. She acquiesced to letting me count the items before leaving, given it was a large order, and my first (and everything was there). The clothing all appears to be perfectly pressed. Prices are consistent with typical dry cleaning/​laundry charges. I will definitely return.

This place is great. They are quick and friendly, especially when I am in a hurry. They have made exceptions for me when I need something in a hurry and they are fast anyways. I have already recommended them to several people and would recommend them to anyone in need of Dry Cleaning!

Friendly and convenient, but find someplace else for alterations. $ 50 to take in waist and leg, now my pants have two weird puffed out darts on my touchas and are still baggy. For that price I expected a custom fit.

I have used Mt Vernon Cleaners several times without difficulty, but today the woman I am assuming is the owner/​manager made a mistake on the original receipt, and expected me to make up the difference. I said I should not have to pay for her mistake, and we had to argue about the difference. She then told me she did not want my business. It was all very unprofessional, over a few dollars, that was the business’s mistake. I will not be returning. Very unprofessional.
