I currently have a kinky curly weave in my hair and I decided to wear my hair straighten to party with my girlfriend this weekend. I call the salon on Thursday night to make an appointment for Friday at 9am. I arrive at the salon at 9 and was wash right away giving I was the only one there. I realize right away my hair didn’t agree with the products that was being used :-/the poor girl was untangling my hair which felt to be hours. Everyone was nice about my matted mess but I was horrified! I then was roller set and placed under the dryer and was on my way ! Will come again but with different hair :-)

Lucy is very sweet and always does a great job with my hair. If you are tender-headed, take something before hand, otherwise convenient and nicely priced blowout salon. Oh yeah, there may be slight language barrier as Spanish is their first language.

I just visited this salon for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I appreciated how both stylists took my requests i. e no grease, rollers. My hair turned out beautifully & Im definitely going back. I liked that they are open on Sundays too, which is super convenient for someone like me who works full time, married w a child I have very little«me» time! It did take a little longer than my previous Dominican salon experiences, but they made up for it in niceness!

I remember coming here at least 6 years ago. I was a regular and stopped because I had a bad experience. My past bad experience came from them being super busy and leaving me waiting for too long with wet hair. Fast forward to yesterday, I wanted a blow out and decided to give this salon a try since I had a GroupOn appointment(for a later date, different service). On a rainy Thursday night, I arrived around 5:30p to the empty salon. I was shampooed and added a deep condition for $ 5. I suddenly realized that I used to come here and hoped my experience would be good. Now I fully realize I have wonderful natural hair and I know my hair type. One of the stylist said«Mami, you have natural hair so you need just the blow out, not the rollers» Me :’ I prefer rollers, other Dominican salons give me the rollers”. After 60 seconds of discussion, I got my rollers and sat under the dryer for 30 minutes, versus the 1 hour that some ladies get. My hair was then blow dried and flat ironed perfectly. My hair is bouncing today after having weave in for the past 8 months. My total came to $ 40, which I was very pleased about. I recommend ladies with natural hair to come on a «slower» day. It felt great being the only one in the salon, therefore the stylist didn’t rush. For DS newbies, don’t let the stylist control what you want. If you want rollers, get rollers.
