Goose Island Bourbon County Black Friday, and Pinehurst delivers once again. Great rotating growler selection and knowledgable, friendly staff. A must-visit for craft beer fans.

Locally owned and operated since 1985, this is a true local/neighborhood ‘shoppe’. Pinehurst is situated at the corner of Gittings Ave and Bellona Ave in a white building next to Charlesmead Pharmacy(another AMAZING and local establishment). My husband Ken and I love this place. It is true, a local establishment– with Saturday beer taps open(they do Growlers) and people talking and drinking. Owners Bob and Charlie are often there and can make great recommendations for wine pairings as well as beers. I have often gone in there stating that I like certain beers and they are more than able to find new beers for me to try, based on what I know I like, that I end up loving. My husband, Ken is a HUGE fan of Pinehurst. He loves local establishments and he finds the owners and staff very knowledgeable and friendly– all with a local/neighborhood feel to it. He is very big on bourbons and whiskeys and there is one guy there(Charles I think?) who has so much experience and knowledge, that Ken almost always comes back with a new sprit to try(he loves manhattans). My ONLY(minor) complaint is that with their $ 99 case of wine(which usually retails for close to $ 140) often has more white than red– which is fine for those summer months, but I’m more of a red wine gal and would love to see more reds in the monthly case selection. SO minor of a complaint because we end up drinking them all anyway ;) If you live locally, there are mailers and coupon magazines that often have coupons for % off spirits, craft beer, or wine(it rotates). Check out Pinehurst soon!

Fantastic service, incredible selection, and the perfect location. Even tho I’m allergic to beer(disclaimer: i was really young when I found out so no clue what I’m missing) they go out of their way to help me find awesome wines(for me) and great brews(for the husband). One of the few«shops» we enjoy going to together, especially since they have free beer tastings thanks to the insane number of kegs on tap. My husband also has a few growlers, and now that BC allows any growler with a surgeon general’s warning on to be filled our fridge is full of beers of all varieties(currently a wheat, a coffee stout, and an IPA — plus a root beer growler).

Beer nerds rejoice! This place is a gem. I got to taste some beer while I shopped for beer! I talked to Gordon and he was really cool and helpful with selections. Cool things to note about the shop: — They’ve got a mix-and-match your own 6-pack deal for $ 9.99. — They sell cheese. — You can order fresh oysters and pick them up as soon as the next day! — Their events are FREE. Translation: free booze tasting! I’m definitely coming back here the next time I feel like getting beer weird.

I like this place. A whole lot… For the longest time Well’s was my go to place(since college!) I stopped into this place just recently for the first time. Everyone in there is quite helpful and nice. Good rotating selection of growlers. reasonable wine selection. I’m a whiskey guy and have found that their selection is quite excellent; much better finds than Wells. This is now my weekly go to place…

Really my last choice – everytime I go in there it feels like I happened upon one of those long-time buddy Baltimore cliques where it helps to have gone to BL, where there is a party going on that you’re not invited to, and where the good stuff is somewhere in the basement, and you’re there for the overpriced plonk they’re trying to move. Enough said. My blood pressure has already blown up.

The new owners have really put a lot of work into the store, and the expended beer selection is much appreciated. I live right around the corner so it’s nice to be able to walk somewhere close and know both the beer and wine selections will be top-notch. The staff are friendly and helpful as well, and prices are the same as the big«discount» liquor stores.

Very cool store! Amazing Beer/Wine/Liquor selection combined with the hospitality of an old school neighborhood shop. Extremely friendly staff and weekly tastings. They also have 32oz and 64oz growlers available for fill/refill from a unique 4-tap draft selection. Stop on in and have a chat with Bob or Gordy.
