Nice local store for beer, wine, and spirit needs. I went here on the fourth of July to get booze for my fiancé’s birthday and to avoid the madness that would have been the Wine Source. I parked in the alleyway by his motorcycle shop and walked down. It then started raining. Two other people huddled under the awning waiting for the clerk who was late. He was apologetic and friendly and the other employee helped me load the beer, wine, and liquor into my car. I spent $ 112. The prices are fair and the selection is decent.

I live right up the street so this is definitely a convenience for me. They never seem to have 40’s though… if you”re in need of your general beer selection this place will suffice. If you want a wide variety hit up wine source on elm ave.

This small, brightly-lit liquor store is a favorite stop of mine. I live further down Falls Road in Roland Park, but it’s convenience makes it an easy stop when I’m heading home. The store owner, Wendy, is friendly and her staff is helpful. I really like the prices, too. I get more for my money at this store. I also enjoy how clean the place is kept. The stock is good, too. This store caters to a wide variety of people, so if you’re looking for a special wine you can’t find anywhere else, go to the Wine Underground. But if you’re looking for a cheap case of beer, some great inexpensive wine, you’ve come to the right place here. For location and selection, it’s a wonderful place. The customer service is also top-notch. I have nothing but good things to say about this place!

Really not such a great place. When it was open, the selection wasn’t great, and it was considerably more expensive than the Wine Source, which is worth the walk. I am not sure where the previous reviewer is from. I live right around the corner of this store, and it’s actually quite a nice neighborhood, full of really lovely people, not exactly questionable. I have never seen what he’s talking about. Maybe he’s referring to the few odd spots on Falls Road? And secondly, why did he even visit Red Fish in the first place? Not exactly convenient to suburbia.

I used to live right across the street from Redfish until I moved on 6÷15÷2010. This beer/wine store was very nice with a wonderful wine selection. The store was spotlessly clean and modern. The owners were very helpful and treated customers well. The had decent enough prices to compete with other neighborhood stores. In a neighborhood full of «questionable» people, an extremely shady bar or three and a regular hooker that can be spotted in the street at most hours of the day — there was never anyone hanging outside the store, never a disruption at Red Fish. That this neighborhood would turn against someone who was willing to open a business here, and take a risk on the neighborhood is a real shame. I heard that citizen complaints forced them to shut down for a period of time until it is sorted out. Shame on you Baltimore! As always your people and priorities are backward. I have lived for 1 year right across the street from this store and can say the people in this neighborhood are much more of a nuisance and drag on society than this wine/beer shop. Wikipedia describes Hampden as «historically racist» — sounds about right.

This is a slime hole. They came in promising to be a gourmet wine and cheese shop; but here they are now and they are just trash. Lots of cheap add for cheap beer junk up the windows of this old historic brick building. Don’t shop here.
