Roland Park Vision Services

My first experience with Roland Park Vision Services has been a great one. It started with the very friendly and helpful reception who were able to squeeze me in on a whim for an appointment. Dr. Hyatt was very friendly and honest with great bedside manner. It was obvious through the duration of my appointment that he really cared about me as a patient, which is more than I can say for many optometrists that I have seen. I will certainly be going back and purchasing glasses from them in the future.

Dr. Hyatt is awesome. He has excellent «bedside» manner; very friendly. The office has a classic style but with electronic appointment scheduling/​confirmation, which is nice. I haven’t bought a pair of glasses from them, so I can’t speak to that, but I would recommend this place for eye exams/​check-​ups hands down!

Called to get some information about contact lenses. Spoke to John, the most unpleasant, least helpful person. He was not very informative and just plain rude. Won’t be ordering from him.

Great experience. I was able to schedule an appointment within a few days. Dr gave honest advice, took my insurance and did not try and sell me extra stuff. I would definitely recommend and return!

I’ve been a patient for three years now since moving to Baltimore from England. The service is excellent (including returns, adjustments of glasses from other suppliers) and the products are great. I purchase frames that I like from a variety of sources, but I always come to Roland Park Vision for my exams, lenses, and contacts. Their selection of Ray Ban and Costa del Mar glasses are fantastic.

Nice place. Dr. Hyatt does a very good job. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I’d give them 5 stars except for the price. Two pair of ‘gradual transition’ glasses with anti-​glare, plus the exam: $ 1200!!! I wish I were joking but I’m not. I don’t have insurance but even if I did… that price is too much.

Until I came to Roland Park Vision, I never had a nice pair of glasses. I ended up buying two frames, and an additional set of lenses for another frame, and, I got an eye exam done.
I’ve been burnt so many times on chain eyeglass stores that I just had to go to a private store/​practice, and I was pleasantly surprised by taking a chance on this store.
Here was my deal:
I got a vision exam, and the doctor explained everything he did, and made time to be thorough, and explained why I had a prescription change. Then, I bought some great Gucci frames, and they got the prescription just right — a first for me.
After a car accident, my glasses were destroyed, and Gucci stopped manufacturing the frame. After hemming and hawing about a new frame, I picked one out, and after a few days, didn’t love it. They let me exchange them, and choose a new one, with new lenses. I wasn’t charged for the old pair.
Even then, I bought an additional frame from an Oakley store — and the frame was uncomfortable. The staff was familiar enough with Oakleys (even though they didn’t sell Oakley products) that they adjusted the frame and showed me how to get acclimated to them. Then they made lenses for me.
I’ve recommended them to friends and co-​workers, I’m a customer for life.

Great sunglasses and super friendly people in a nice section of North Baltimore. The folks at Roland Park VS made me a super set of Costa del Mar lenses that have kept my eyes protected all over the world. The store does not look like much from the outside, but it’s a professional place.
