Bottom Line: The only thing above average about this airport-centric gas station is the prices.
Relocating from Southern Cali I never noticed how expensive this gas station was compared to others in the area (because all gas in MD seems inexpensive) until a few fellow Unilocalers pointed it out. Recently I noticed that Regular here was $ 3.49 whereas up the street at Royal Farm and 7 – 1 it was $ 3.15. I guess this is the premium they demand being the closest gas station to the airport. Anyway, here are a few notes about what this gas station has to offer:
–10 gasoline pumps
— at least 1 diesel pump
— a car wash
— a convenience store
— well lit and safe
— convenient to BWI airport

False advertisement… They have a huge sign notating price… But the small ass sign on the ground, flopping in the wind and not visible from the direction I turned in, are credit card prices which is .10¢ more. So the prices on the big ass sign that you can see from about ¼ mile away is for CASH only purchase… Booooooooo

I always pop in this location when im picking someone up from BWI. Handy bathroom and snacks make this a much more comfortable location than the cell phone pick up lot; it adds maybe another 2 min to travel time to the terminal.

Proximity to the airport means that the refueling is going to a lot more expensive. This tank was a good 20 cents more than stations two miles away. And then the nozzle didn’t stop pumping when the tank was full. Fortunately, it spilled on the *rental* car and not on my car or I’d be very pissed.

The «premium» car wash I purchased for $ 10 left a thick coat of blue soap… wax… who knows what… all over my car. I went directly inside to tell the man at the counter about what happened. He told me I would have to pay $ 8 more to have the blue funk washed off my car and there was nothing else he could do. (Seriously?) I paid too much for their gas and another $ 10 to make my car a huge mess. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this Shell station.

Highest gas prices in the area by 30 — 40 cents. They take advantage of rental car returns as they’re the closest station to the terminal. The wannabe subway inside is a joke. Always full of Blue Shuttle drivers loitering, speaking their native tongue. Do yourself a favor and hit the 7 – 11 or Royal Farms a mile down the road.

Looking for gas close to the Rental Car Return at BWI. Has a mini-mart. The address and location are from the Shell website. Maybe just as close as the one on Dorsey Road.
